< 1 Thessalonians 3 >
1 For this reason, enduring no longer, we thought good to be left in Athens alone,
Acunüng, am khamei khawh ti u ngü se, Aten mlüha mät däk ve hüt vaia kami ngtünkie ni.
2 and sent Timotheus—our brother, and a servant of God, and our fellow-workman in the good news of the Christ—to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith,
Pamhnama phäh keimi am atänga Khritawa mawng Thangkdaw sangki kami na Timoti kami tüih law. Ani naw ngjuktha ning jah pe lü nami jumeinak ning jah kuei se,
3 that no one be moved in these tribulations, for you have known that we are set for this,
acunüng, ahina mkhuimkhanakea phäh u pi hnu da käh nghlat be khaia, acuna ngkhaw mkhuimkhanake cun mi phäha Pamhnama hlüei ni ti namimät naw nami ksingki.
4 for even when we were with you, we said to you beforehand that we are about to suffer tribulation, as it also came to pass, and you have known [it];
Nami hlawnga kami ve üng, khuikhanak mi khamei khai ti lü kami ning jah mtheh. Acukba kunga pha lawki, acun cun nami ksingki.
5 because of this also, I, no longer enduring, sent to know your faith, lest he who is tempting tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.
Khawyam naw ning jah hlawhlep se, kami khüikhawmnak alapa a thawn vai naw na ähei se, am khamei khawh ti lü Timoti hin nami jumeinak ning jah ksing khaia ka tüih law ni.
6 And Timotheus now having come to us from you, and having declared good news to us of your faith and love, and that you always have a good remembrance of us, desiring much to see us, as we also [to see] you,
Atuh ta Timoti nami vei üngka naw law be ve. Nami jumeinak ja nami mhläkphyanaka thang jah mtheh lawki. Keimi naw aktäa kami ning jah hmuh hlüa kba aktäa nami jah hmuh hlüa mawng pi jah mtheh lawki.
7 because of this we were comforted, brothers, over you, in all our tribulation and necessity, through your faith,
Acunakyase, benae aw, mpyenkse lü khuikhanak mjüküm kami khamei kyaw üngpi, nami jumeinak naw jah doeisak ve.
8 because now we live, if you may stand fast in the LORD.
Bawipa üng nami ngkhängceka kcün üng keimi naw xünnak yah ve ung.
9 For what thanks are we able to repay to God for you, for all the joy with which we delight because of you in the presence of our God,
Atuh ta, nangmia phäh mi Pamhnam je na ve ung. Nangmi üng jekyainak kami taka phäh, a hmai maa jenak mtheh ve ung.
10 exceedingly imploring night and day, that we might see your face, and perfect the things lacking in your faith?
Akhyang puma mi nghmuh lü nami jumeinak üng hlü hamki akümcei law vaia, amhnüp amthana mlung kcang am kami ktaiyüki.
11 And our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you,
Mi Pamhnam ja mi Pa amät, ja mi Bawipa Jesuh naw nami veia kami lawnak thei vaia lam pyang se.
12 and the LORD cause you to increase and to abound in the love to one another, and to all, even as we also to you,
Keimia mhläkphyanak a dämduha kba, mat ja mat nami mhläkphyanak ja khyang naküt nami mhläkphyanak hin dämduh law bawkbawk khaia Bawipa naw pyang se.
13 in order to have established your hearts, blameless in sanctification before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His holy ones.
Acukba ani naw ning jah kyansaisak khai. A khankhawngsäe am atänga mi Bawipa Jesuh a kyum law be üng, mi Pamhnam ja mi Paa maa ngcingcaihnak ja kümbenak am nami ve khai.
