< 1 Samuel 9 >
1 And there is a man of Benjamin, and his name [is] Kish, son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Bechorath, son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of valor,
Adda maysa a lalaki manipud Benjamin, maysa a mararaem a lalaki. Ti naganna ket Kis a putot ni Abiel, ni Abiel ket putot ni Zeror a putot ni Becorat, ni Becorat ket putot ni Afia, nga anak ti maysa a Benjamita.
2 and he has a son, and his name [is] Saul, a choice youth and handsome, and there is not a man among the sons of Israel more handsome than he—from his shoulder and upward, higher than any of the people.
Addaan isuna iti anak a lalaki nga agnagan iti Saul, nataer a baro. Awanen ti natataer ngem isuna kadagiti tattao ti Israel. Panggat-abagana dagiti dadduma, nataytayag isuna ngem iti siasinoman kadagiti tattao.
3 And the donkeys of Kish, father of Saul, are lost, and Kish says to his son Saul, “Now take one of the young men with you, and rise, go, seek the donkeys.”
Ita, dagiti asno ni Kis nga ama ni Saul ket mapukpukaw. Isu a kinuna ni Kis kenni Saul nga anakna, “Mangitugotka iti maysa kadagiti adipen; agrubbuatka ket mapanyo biroken dagiti asno.”
4 And he passes over through the hill-country of Ephraim, and passes over through the land of Shalisha, and they have not found [them]; and they pass over through the land of Shaalim, and they are not; and he passes over through the land of Benjamin, and they have not found [them].
Isu a sinursor ni Saul ti turod a pagilian ti Efraim ket napan iti daga ti Salisa, ngem saanda a nasarakan dagitoy. Ket sinursorda ti daga ti Salim, ngem awanda sadiay. Ket sinursorda ti daga dagiti Benjamita, ngem saanda a nasarakan dagitoy.
5 They have come to the land of Zuph, and Saul has said to his young man who [is] with him, “Come, and we return, lest my father leave off from the donkeys, and has been sorrowful for us.”
Idi nakadanonda iti daga ti Suf, kinuna ni Saul iti adipenna a kaduana, “Umayka, agsublitan, ta imbes a dagiti asno ti pagdanagan ti amak, saanen ta amangan no datan a dua ti pagdandanaganna.”
6 And he says to him, “Now behold, a man of God [is] in this city, and the man is honored; all that he speaks certainly comes; now, we go there, it may be he declares to us our way on which we have gone.”
Ngem kinuna ti adipen kenkuana, “Dumngegka, adda maysa a tao ti Dios iti daytoy a siudad. Maysa isuna a lalaki a mararaem; amin nga ibagana ket pumudno. Mapanta idiay; mabalin nga maibagana kadata ti dalan a rumbeng a papananta iti panagdaliasatta.”
7 And Saul says to his young man, “And behold, we go, and what do we bring to the man? For the bread has gone from our vessels, and there is no present to bring to the man of God—what [is] with us?”
Ket kinuna ni Saul iti adipenna, “Ngem no mapanta, ania ti maiyegta iti lalaki? Ta naibusen ti tinapay iti supotta, ket awan ti sagut a maiyegta iti tao ti Dios. Ania ti adda kadata?”
8 And the young man adds to answer Saul and says, “Behold, there is found a fourth of a shekel of silver with me: and I have given to the man of God, and he has declared our way to us.”
Simmungbat ti adipen kenni Saul a kunana, “Adtoy, addaanak iti apagkapat ti pirak a siklo nga itedko iti tao ti Dios, tapno ibagana kadata no sadino ti rumbeng a papananta.”
9 Formerly in Israel, thus said the man in his going to seek God: “Come and we go to the seer.” For the “prophet” of today is formerly called “the seer.”
(Idi un-unana iti Israel, no kasta nga adda tao a mapan agdamag iti pagayatan ti Dios, kunana, “Umayka, mapanta iti ayan ti mammadto.” Ta dagiti profeta ita a tiempo ket maaw-awagan idi iti mammadto.)
10 And Saul says to his young man, “Your word [is] good; come, we go”; and they go to the city where the man of God [is].
Ket kinuna ni Saul iti adipenna, “Nasayaat ti imbagam. Umayka, mapantan.” Isu a napanda iti siudad nga ayan ti tao ti Dios.
11 They are going up in the ascent of the city, and have found young women going out to draw water, and say to them, “Is the seer in this [place]?”
Bayat a sumangsang-atda iti turod nga agturong iti siudad, nakasabatda kadagiti babbalasang a mapan sumakdo iti danum; kinuna ni Saul ken ti adipenna kadakuada, “Adda kadi ditoy ti mammadto?”
12 And they answer them and say, “He is; behold, before you! Hurry, now, for he has come to the city today, for the people [have] a sacrifice today in a high place.
Simmungbatda ket kinunada, “Wen adda isuna; kitaenyo, immun-una laeng isuna ngem kadakayo. Darasenyo, ta mapan isuna ita idiay siudad ta mangidaton ita dagiti tattao idiay nangato a disso.
13 At your going into the city so you find him, before he goes up to the high place to eat; for the people do not eat until his coming, for he blesses the sacrifice; afterward, they who are called eat, and now, go up, for you should find him at this time.”
Apaman a makastrekkayo iti siudad, masarakanyo isuna, sakbay a sumang-at isuna iti nangato a disso tapno mangan. Saan a mangan dagiti tattao agingga a sumangpet isuna, gapu ta bendisionanna ti daton; kalpasanna, manganto dagiti naawis. Sumang-atkayo itan, ta masarakanyo isuna a dagus.”
14 And they go up to the city; they are coming into the midst of the city, and behold, Samuel is coming out to meet them, to go up to the high place;
Isu a simmang-atda idiay siudad. Iti iseserrekda iti siudad, nakitada ni Samuel a sumungsungad nga agturong kadakuada, a mapan iti nangato a disso.
15 and YHWH had uncovered the ear of Samuel one day before the coming of Saul, saying,
Ita, ti aldaw sakbay nga immay ni Saul, imbagan ni Yahweh kenni Samuel;
16 “At this time tomorrow, I send to you a man out of the land of Benjamin—and you have anointed him for leader over My people Israel, and he has saved My people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen My people, for its cry has come to Me.”
“Inton bigat iti kastoy met laeng nga oras, ibaonkonto kenka ti maysa a lalaki manipud iti daga ti Benjamin, ket pulotamto isuna nga agbalin a prinsipe dagiti amin a tattaok nga Israel. Isalakannanto dagiti tattaok iti ima dagiti Filisteo. Ta maasianak kadagiti tattaok gapu ta dimmanon kaniak dagiti asugda a dumawdawat iti tulong.”
17 When Samuel has seen Saul, then YHWH has answered him, “Behold, the man of whom I have spoken to you; this [one] restrains My people.”
Idi nakita ni Samuel ni Saul, kinuna ni Yahweh kenkuana, “Adtoy ti lalaki nga imbagak kenka! Isuna ti mangituray kadagiti tattaok.”
18 And Saul draws near to Samuel in the midst of the gate and says, “Please declare to me where this seer’s house [is].”
Ket immasideg ni Saul kenni Samuel iti ruangan ket kinunana, “Mabalin kadi nga ibagam kaniak no sadino ti balay ti mammadto?”
19 And Samuel answers Saul and says, “I [am] the seer; go up before me into the high place, and you have eaten with me today, and I have sent you away in the morning, and all that [is] in your heart I declare to you.
Simmungbat ni Samuel kenni Saul ket kinunana, 'Siak ti mammadto. Umunakan a sumang-at idiay nangato a disso, ta makipanganka kaniak ita nga aldaw. Palubosankanto a pumanaw inton bigat, ket ibagakto kenka amin a banag nga adda iti panunotmo.
20 And as for the donkeys which are lost from you [for] three days as of today, do not set your heart to them, for they have been found; and to whom [is] all the desire of Israel? Is it not to you and to all your father’s house?”
No maipapan kadagiti asnoyo a napukaw, tallo nga aldawen ti napalabas, saanyo ida a pakadanagan, ta nasapulanen dagitoy. Ket siasino koma ngay ti sabali a kayat ti Israel? Saan kadi a sika ken iti amin a sangkabalayan ti amam?”
21 And Saul answers and says, “Am I not a Benjamite—of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? And why have you spoken to me according to this word?”
Simmungbat ni Saul ket kinunana, “Saan kadi a maysaak a Benjamita, manipud iti kababassitan a tribu ti Israel? Saan kadi a ti pulik ti kababaan kadagiti amin a puli ti tribu ti Benjamin? Apay ngarud a kastoy ti wagas ti panagsaom kaniak?”
22 And Samuel takes Saul, and his young man, and brings them into the chamber, and gives a place to them at the head of those called; and they [are] about thirty men.
Isu nga inkuyog ni Samuel ni Saul ken ti adipenna, impanna ida idiay dakkel a kuarto, ket pinagtugawna ida iti kangrunaan a tugaw dagiti naawis, nga aggarup tallopulo a tattao.
23 And Samuel says to the cook, “Give the portion which I gave to you, of which I said to you, Set it by you.”
Kinuna ni Samuel iti kusinero, “Iyegmo ti paset nga intedko kenka, nga imbagak kenka, 'Ilasinmo daytoy.'”
24 (And the cook lifts up the leg, and that which [is] on it, and sets [it] before Saul), and he says, “Behold, that which is left; [it] is set before your face—eat, for it is kept for you for this appointed time, [at my] saying, I have called the people”; and Saul eats with Samuel on that day.
Isu nga innala ti kusinero ti luppo a nailasin iti daton ken ti adda iti daytoy, ket indasarna iti sangoanan ni Saul.
25 And they come down from the high place to the city, and he speaks with Saul on the roof.
Idi simmalogda idiay siudad manipud iti nangato a disso, nakisarita ni Samuel kenni Saul iti tuktok ti balay.
26 And they rise early, and it comes to pass, at the ascending of the dawn, that Samuel calls to Saul, on the roof, saying, “Rise, and I send you away”; and Saul rises, and they go out, both of them—he and Samuel, outside.
Ket iti parbangon, inayaban ni Samuel ni Saul nga adda iti tuktok ti balay ket kinunana, “Bumangonkan, tapno maparubuatanka.” Isu a bimmangon ni Saul, ket nagkuyogda kenni Samuel a napan iti kalsada.
27 They are going down in the extremity of the city, and Samuel has said to Saul, “Say to the young man that he should pass on before us (and he passes on), and you, stand at this time, and I cause you to hear the word of God.”
Bayat a mapmapanda iti ruar ti siudad, kinuna ni Samuel kenni Saul, “Ibagam iti adipen nga umun-una ngem kadata (ket immun-una isuna), ngem agtalinaedka pay ditoy iti apagbiit, tapno maibagak ti mensahe ti Dios kenka.”
