< 1 Samuel 6 >
1 And the Ark of YHWH is in the field of the Philistines [for] seven months,
Ita, pito a bulan nga adda iti pagilian dagiti Filisteo ti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh.
2 and the Philistines call for priests and for diviners, saying, “What do we do to the Ark of YHWH? Let us know with what we send it to its place.”
Ket pinaayaban dagiti Filisteo dagiti papadi ken dagiti mammadles; kinunada kadakuada, “Ania ti rumbeng nga aramidenmi iti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh? Ibagayo kadakami no kasano ti panangisublimi iti daytoy iti bukodna a pagilian.”
3 And they say, “If you are sending the Ark of the God of Israel away, you do not send it away empty; for you certainly send back a guilt-offering to Him; then you are healed, and it has been known to you why His hand does not turn aside from you.”
Kinuna dagiti papadi ken dagiti mammadles, “No isubliyo ti lakasa ti tulag ti Dios ti Israel, saanyo nga ipatulod daytoy a saan a mapakuyogan iti sagut; masapul a pakuyoganyo daytoy iti daton a pangsupapak iti basol. Ket umimbagkayonto, ket maammoanyonto no apay a pagsagsagabaennakayo agingga ita.”
4 And they say, “What [is] the guilt-offering which we send back to Him?” And they say, “The number of the princes of the Philistines—five golden lumps, and five golden muroids—for one plague [is] to you all, and to your princes,
Ket kinunada, “Ania ti umno a daton a pangsupapak iti basol nga ipakuyogmi iti isublimi kenkuana?” Insungbatda, “Lima a balitok a sinan-letteg ken lima a balitok a sinan-marabutit, lima a kas iti bilang dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti Filisteo. Ta isu met laeng a didigra ti nangparigat kadakayo ken kadagiti mangidadauloyo.
5 and you have made images of your lumps, and images of your muroids that are corrupting the land, and have given glory to the God of Israel; it may be [that] He lightens His hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land;
Isu a masapul a mangaramidkayo kadagiti sinan-letteg, ken sinan-marabutit a mangdaddadael iti daga, ken padayawanyo ti Dios ti Israel. Mabalin nga isardengnan ti panangdusdusana kadakayo, kadagiti diosyo, ken iti dagayo.
6 and why do you harden your heart as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their heart? Do they not—when He has rolled Himself on them—send them away, and they go?
Apay a patangkenenyo dagiti pusoyo, a kas iti panangpatangken dagiti taga-Egipto ken ti Faraon kadagiti pusoda? Dayta ket idi dinusa ida ti Dios ti Israel iti nakaro; saan kadi a pinalubosan dagiti taga-Egipto dagiti tattao, ket pimmanawda?
7 And now, take and make one new cart, and two suckling cows, on which a yoke has not gone up, and you have bound the cows in the cart, and caused their young ones to turn back from after them to the house,
Ita ngarud, mangisaganakayo iti baro a kariton nga addaan iti dua nga agpaspasuso a baka, a saan pay pulos a naipako. Ipakoyo dagiti baka iti kariton, ngem iyawidyo dagiti urbonda, adayo manipud kadakuada.
8 and you have taken the Ark of YHWH, and put it on the cart, and the vessels of gold which you have returned to Him—a guilt-offering—you put in a coffer on its side, and have sent it away, and it has gone;
Ket alaenyo ti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh ket ikabilyo daytoy iti kariton. Iti abayna, ikabilyo ti kahon a pangikabilanyo kadagiti nahorma a balitok a banbanag nga ipakuyogyo iti isubliyo kenkuana a kas daton a pangsupapak iti basolyo. Ket bay-anyo ida a mapan nga is-isuda.
9 and you have seen if it goes up the way of its own border, to Beth-Shemesh—He has done this great evil to us; and if not, then we have known that His hand has not come against us; it has been an accident to us.”
Kalpasanna siputanyo daytoy; no sumang-at daytoy iti dalan nga agturong idiay Bet-semes a bukodna a daga, ni Yahweh ngarud ti nangyeg iti daytoy a dakkel a didigra. Ngem no saan, maammoantayo ngarud a saan a ti imana ti nangparigat kadatayo; ngem ketdi, maammoantayo a nairana laeng a napasamak kadatayo daytoy.”
10 And the men do so, and take two suckling cows, and bind them in the cart, and they shut up their young ones in the house;
Inaramid dagiti tattao ti naibaga kadakuada; nangalada iti dua nga agpaspasuso a baka ket impakoda dagitoy iti kariton, ket impupokda dagiti urbonda iti balay.
11 and they place the Ark of YHWH on the cart, and the coffer, and the golden muroids, and the images of their lumps.
Inkabilda ti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh iti kariton, agraman ti kahon a naglaon iti balitok a sinan-marabutit ken sinan-letteg.
12 And the cows go straight in the way, on the way to Beth-Shemesh, they have gone in one highway, going and lowing, and have not turned aside right or left; and the princes of the Philistines are going after them to the border of Beth-Shemesh.
Nagturong dagiti baka iti agpa-Betsemes. Nagnada iti maymaysa a dalan, agem-emmakda bayat a mapmapanda, ket saanda a simmiasi iti makannawan wenno iti makannigid. Sinurot ida dagiti mangidadaulo kadagiti Filisteo agingga idiay beddeng ti Betsemes.
13 And the Beth-Shemeshites are reaping their wheat-harvest in the valley, and they lift up their eyes, and see the Ark, and rejoice to see [it].
Ita, agan-ani dagiti tattao iti Betsemes kadagiti trigoda idiay tanap. Idi kimmitada, nakitada ti lakasa ti tulag ket nagrag-oda.
14 And the cart has come into the field of Joshua the Beth-Shemeshite, and stands there, and there [is] a great stone, and they cleave the wood of the cart, and they have caused the cows to ascend [as] a burnt-offering to YHWH.
Dimteng ti kariton iti talon ni Josue manipud iti ili ti Betsemes ket nagsardeng sadiay. Adda dakkel a bato sadiay, ket binalsigda ti kariton, ket indatonda dagiti baka a kas daton a mapuoran para kenni Yahweh.
15 And the Levites have taken down the Ark of YHWH, and the coffer which [is] with it, in which [are] the vessels of gold, and place [them] on the great stone; and the men of Beth-Shemesh have caused burnt-offerings to ascend and sacrifice sacrifices in that day to YHWH;
Imbaba dagiti Levita ti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh ken ti kahon nga adda iti daytoy, a nakaikargaan dagiti nahorma a balitok a banbanag, ket inkabilda dagitoy iti dakkel a bato. Nangidatag dagiti tattao iti Betsemes kadagiti daton a mapuoran ken nangidatonda kenni Yahweh iti dayta met laeng nga aldaw.
16 and the five princes of the Philistines have seen [it], and return [to] Ekron, on that day.
Idi nakita daytoy dagiti lima a mangidadaulo kadagiti Filisteo, nagsublida idiay Ekron iti dayta nga aldaw.
17 And these [are] the golden lumps which the Philistines have sent back—a guilt-offering to YHWH: one for Ashdod, one for Gaza, one for Ashkelon, one for Gath, one for Ekron;
Dagitoy dagiti balitok a sinan-letteg nga impakuyog dagiti Filisteo iti isublida para iti daton a pangsupapak iti basol kenni Yahweh; maysa para iti Asdod, maysa para iti Gaza, maysa iti Askelon, maysa iti Gat, ken maysa para iti Ekron.
18 and the golden muroids—the number of all the cities of the Philistines, for the five princes, from the fortified city even to a village of the open place, and to the great stone [[or great meadow]] on which they placed the Ark of YHWH—[are] in the field of Joshua the Beth-Shemeshite to this day.
Naipada ti bilang dagiti balitok a sinan-marabutit iti bilang dagiti amin a siudad dagiti Filisteo a kukua dagiti lima a mangidadaulo, dagiti natalged a siudad ken dagiti barbario iti dayta a pagilian. Ti dakkel a bato, iti igid a nangikabilanda iti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh, ket nagtalinaed a saksi agingga kadagitoy nga aldaw iti talon ni Josue a taga-Betsemes.
19 And He strikes among the men of Beth-Shemesh, for they looked into the Ark of YHWH, indeed, He strikes seventy men [out] of fifty thousand men [[or fifty thousand and seventy men]] among the people; and the people mourn, because YHWH struck among the people [with] a great striking.
Dinusa ni Yahweh dagiti sumagmamano kadagiti tattao iti Betsemes gapu ta kimmitada iti uneg ti lakasa ti tulagna. Pinatayna ti pitopulo a tattao. Nagladingit dagiti tattao, gapu ta dinusa ni Yahweh dagiti tattao iti nakaro.
20 And the men of Beth-Shemesh say, “Who is able to stand before YHWH, this holy God? And to whom does He go up from us?”
Kinuna dagiti tattao iti Betsemes, “Siasino ti makabael a tumakder iti sangoanan ni Yahweh, daytoy a nasantoan a Dios? Ket siasino ti papananna manipud kadatayo?”” Siasino ti makabael a tumakder iti sangoanan ti Apo, daytoy a nasantoan a Dios? Ken siasino ti papanan ti lakasa ti tulag manipud ditoy?”
21 And they send messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-Jearim, saying, “The Philistines have sent back the Ark of YHWH; come down, take it up with you.”
Nangibaonda kadagiti mensahero kadagiti agnanaed idiay Kiryat-Jearim a kunkunada, “Insubli dagiti Filisteo ti lakasa ti tulag ni Yahweh; sumalogkayo ket alaenyo daytoy.”
