1 Samuel 13
1 Saul [is] a son of [[thirty]] years in his reigning, and he has reigned over Israel [forty]-two years,
১শৌল ত্রিশ বছর বয়সে রাজা হন৷ দুই বছর ইস্রায়েলের উপরে রাজত্ব করার পর
2 then Saul chooses for himself three thousand [men] out of Israel; and two thousand are with Saul in Michmash, and in the hill-country of Beth-El; and one thousand have been with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin; and he has sent each one of the remnant of the people to his tents.
২শৌল নিজেদের জন্য ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে তিন হাজার জন লোক নির্বাচন করলেন; তার মধ্যে দুহাজার মিকমসে ও বৈথেল পর্বতে শৌলের সঙ্গে থাকল এবং এক হাজার বিন্যামীন প্রদেশের গিবিয়াতে যোনাথনের সঙ্গে থাকল; আর অন্য সব লোককে তিনি নিজেদের তাঁবুতে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন৷
3 And Jonathan strikes the garrison of the Philistines which [is] in Geba, and the Philistines hear, and Saul has blown with a horn through all the land, saying, “Let the Hebrews hear.”
৩পরে যোনাথন গেবাতে থাকা পলেষ্টীয়দের পাহারাদার সৈন্যদলকে আঘাত করলেন ও পলেষ্টীয়েরা তা শুনল; তখন শৌল দেশের সব জায়গায় তূরী বাজিয়ে বললেন, “ইব্রীয়েরা শুনুক৷”
4 And all Israel have heard, saying, “Saul has struck the garrison of the Philistines,” and also, “Israel has been abhorred by the Philistines”; and the people are called after Saul to Gilgal.
৪তখন সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল এই কথা শুনল যে, শৌল পলেষ্টীয়দের সেই পাহারাদার সৈন্যদলকে আঘাত করেছেন, আর ইস্রায়েলের জন্য পলেষ্টীয়দের তীব্র ঘৃণা জন্মেছে৷ পরে লোকেরা শৌলের সঙ্গে গিলগলে যোগ দিল৷
5 And the Philistines have been gathered to fight with Israel; thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and a people as the sand which [is] on the seashore for multitude; and they come up and encamp in Michmash, east of Beth-Aven.
৫পরে পলেষ্টীয়েরা ইস্রায়েলের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ করতে এল; ত্রিশ হাজার রথ, ছয় হাজার ঘোড়াচালক ও সমুদ্রতীরের বালির মতো অগুন্তি লোক আসল; তারা এসে বৈৎ-আবনের পূর্বদিকে মিকমসে শিবির তৈরী করল৷
6 And the men of Israel have seen that they are distressed, that the people have been oppressed, and the people hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in high places, and in pits.
৬তখন ইস্রায়েলের লোকেরা নিজেদেরকে বিপদের মধ্যে দেখল, কারণ লোকেরা পীড়িত হচ্ছিল; তখন লোকেরা গুহাতে, ঝোপে, শৈলে, উঁচু জায়গায় ও গর্তে লুকাল৷
7 And Hebrews have passed over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead; and Saul [is] yet in Gilgal, and all the people have trembled after him.
৭আর কয়েকজন ইব্রীয় যর্দ্দন পার হয়ে গাদ ও গিলিয়দ দেশে গেল৷ কিন্তু তখনও শৌল গিলগলে ছিলেন এবং তাঁর পিছনে আসা লোকেরা সবাই কাঁপতে লাগল৷
8 And he waits seven days, according to the appointment with Samuel, and Samuel has not come to Gilgal, and the people are scattered from off him.
৮পরে শৌল শমূয়েলের ঠিক করা দিন অনুসারে সাত দিন অপেক্ষা করলেন; কিন্তু শমূয়েল গিলগলে এলেন না এবং লোকেরা তাঁর কাছ থেকে ছড়িয়ে পড়তে লাগল৷
9 And Saul says, “Bring the burnt-offering and the peace-offerings near to me”; and he causes the burnt-offering to ascend.
৯তাতে শৌল বললেন, “এই জায়গায় আমার কাছে হোমবলি ও মঙ্গলার্থক বলি আন৷” পরে তিনি হোমবলি উত্সর্গ করলেন৷
10 And it comes to pass at his completing to cause the burnt-offering to ascend, that behold, Samuel has come, and Saul goes out to meet him, to bless him;
১০হোমবলি উত্সর্গ শেষ করার সঙ্গে সঙ্গেই শমূয়েল উপস্থিত হলেন; তাতে শৌল তাঁকে অভিবাদন করার জন্য তাঁর সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন৷
11 and Samuel says, “What have you done?” And Saul says, “Because I saw that the people were scattered from off me, and you had not come at the appointment of the days, and the Philistines are gathered to Michmash,
১১পরে শমূয়েল বললেন, “তুমি কি করলে?” শৌল বললেন, “আমি দেখলাম, লোকেরা আমার কাছ থেকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে এবং নির্ধারিত দিনের র মধ্যে আপনিও আসেন নি, আর পলেষ্টীয়েরা মিকমসে জড়ো হয়েছে;
12 and I say, Now the Philistines come down to me to Gilgal, and I have not appeased the face of YHWH; and I force myself, and cause the burnt-offering to ascend.”
১২তাই আমি মনে মনে বললাম, ‘পলেষ্টীয়েরা এখনই আমার বিরুদ্ধে গিলগলে নেমে আসবে,’ আর আমি সদাপ্রভুর দয়া চাই নি; তাই ইচ্ছা না থাকলেও আমি হোমবলি উত্সর্গ করলাম৷”
13 And Samuel says to Saul, “You have been foolish; you have not kept the command of your God YHWH, which He commanded you, for now YHWH had established your kingdom over Israel for all time;
১৩শমূয়েল শৌলকে বললেন, “তুমি বোকার মত কাজ করেছ; তোমার ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যে আদেশ দিয়েছেন, তা মেনে চলনি; মানলে সদাপ্রভু এখন ইস্রায়েলের উপরে তোমার রাজত্ব চিরকাল স্থায়ী করতেন৷
14 and now, your kingdom does not stand, YHWH has sought [for] a man for Himself according to His own heart, and YHWH charges him for leader over His people, for you have not kept that which YHWH commanded you.”
১৪কিন্তু এখন তোমার রাজত্ব স্থির থাকবে না; সদাপ্রভু নিজের মনের মত এক জনকে বেছে নিয়ে তাকেই নিজের প্রজাদের শাসনকর্ত্তার পদে নিযুক্ত করেছেন; কারণ সদাপ্রভু তোমাকে যা আদেশ করেছিলেন, তুমি তা পালন করনি৷”
15 And Samuel rises, and goes up from Gilgal to Gibeah of Benjamin; and Saul inspects the people who are found with him, about six hundred men,
১৫পরে শমূয়েল উঠে গিলগল থেকে বিন্যামীনের গিবিয়াতে চলে গেলেন; তখন শৌল নিজের কাছের বর্তমান লোকদেরকে গণনা করলেন, তারা অনুমান ছশো জন৷
16 and Saul, and his son Jonathan, and the people who are found with them, are abiding in Gibeah of Benjamin, and the Philistines have encamped in Michmash.
১৬শৌল তাঁর ছেলে যোনাথন ও তাদের কাছের বর্তমান লোকেরা বিন্যামীনের গেবাতে থাকলেন এবং পলেষ্টীয়েরা মিকমসে শিবির তৈরী করে থাকলো৷
17 And the destroyer goes out from the camp of the Philistines—three detachments: one detachment turns to the way of Ophrah, to the land of Shual,
১৭পরে পলেষ্টীয়দের শিবির থেকে তিনদল বিনাশকারী সৈন্য বেরিয়ে এল, তার একদল অফ্রার রাস্তা দিয়ে শূয়াল প্রদেশে গেল৷
18 and one detachment turns the way of Beth-Horon, and one detachment turns the way of the border which is looking on the Valley of the Zeboim, toward the wilderness.
১৮আর একদল বৈৎ-হোরোণের পথের দিকে ফিরল এবং আর একদল মরুপ্রান্তের দিকে সিবোয়িম উপত্যকার দিকে সীমানার পথ দিয়ে গেল৷
19 And a craftsman is not found in all the land of Israel, for the Philistines said, “Lest the Hebrews make sword or spear”;
১৯ঐ দিনের সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল দেশে কামার পাওয়া যেত না; কারণ পলেষ্টীয়েরা বলত, “যদি ইব্রীয়েরা নিজেদের জন্য তরোয়াল কি বর্শা তৈরী করে৷”
20 and all Israel goes down to the Philistines, to each sharpen his plowshare, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock;
২০এই জন্য নিজেদের হলমুখ বা ফাল বা কুড়ুল বা কোদাল ধার দেবার জন্য ইস্রায়েলের সব লোককে পলেষ্টীয়দের কাছে নেমে আসতে হত৷
21 and there has been the file for mattocks, and for coulters, and for three-pronged rakes, and for the axes, and to set up the goads.
২১সুতরাং সকলের কোদাল, (তিন ভাগের দুই ভাগ সেকল) ফাল (4 গ্রাম রৌপ্য মুদ্রা) বিদা, কুড়ুলের ধার এবং রাখালের লাঠির কাঁটা ভোঁতা ছিল;
22 And it has been, in the day of battle, that there has not been found a sword and spear in the hand of any of the people who [are] with Saul and with Jonathan—but it is found with Saul and with his son Jonathan.
২২আর যুদ্ধের দিনের শৌলের ও যোনাথনের সঙ্গী লোকদের কারও হাতে তরোয়াল বা বর্শা পাওয়া গেল না, শুধুমাত্র শৌলের ও তাঁর ছেলে যোনাথনের হাতে পাওয়া গেল৷
23 And the station of the Philistines goes out to the passage of Michmash.
২৩পরে পলেষ্টীয়দের পাহারাদার সৈন্যদল বেরিয়ে এসে মিকমসের গিরিপথে এল
