1 Peter 5
1 Elders who [are] among you, I exhort [you], [as] a fellow-elder, and a witness of the sufferings of the Christ, and a partaker of the glory about to be revealed,
RUEGO á los ancianos que están entre vosotros, yo anciano [tambien] con ellos, y testigo de las aflicciones de Cristo, que soy tambien participante de la gloria que ha de ser revelada;
2 feed the flock of God that [is] among you, overseeing not by compulsion, but willingly, neither for shameful gain, but eagerly,
Apacentad la grey de Dios que está entre vosotros, teniendo cuidado [de ella, ] no por fuerza, sino voluntariamente; no por ganancia deshonesta, sino de un ánimo pronto;
3 neither as exercising lordship over the heritages, but becoming patterns for the flock,
Y no como teniendo señorío sobre las heredades [del Señor, ] sino siendo dechados de la grey.
4 and the Chief Shepherd having appeared, you will receive the unfading garland of glory.
Y cuando apareciere el Príncipe de los pastores, vosotros recibiréis la corona incorruptible de gloria.
5 In like manner, you young [ones], be subject to elders, and all subjecting yourselves to one another; clothe yourselves with humble-mindedness, because God resists the proud, but He gives grace to the humble;
Igualmente, mancebos, sed sujetos á los ancianos: y todos sumisos unos á otros, revestíos de humildad; porque Dios resiste á los soberbios, y da gracia á los humildes.
6 be humbled, then, under the powerful hand of God, that He may exalt you in good time,
Humilláos pues bajo la poderosa mano de Dios, para que él os ensalce cuando fuere tiempo:
7 having cast all your care on Him, because He cares for you.
Echando toda vuestra solicitud en él: porque él tiene cuidado de vosotros.
8 Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the Devil walks around as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may swallow up,
Sed templados, y velad; porque vuestro adversario el diablo anda como un leon bramando alrededor [de vosotros] buscando á quien devore:
9 whom you must resist, steadfast in the faith, having known the same sufferings of your brotherhood to be accomplished in the world.
Al cual resistid firmes en la fé, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to His perpetual glory in Christ Jesus, having suffered a little, Himself make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle [you]; (aiōnios g166)
Mas el Dios de toda gracia, que nos ha llamado á su gloria eterna por Jesu-Cristo, despues que hubiereis un poco de tiempo padecido, él mismo os perfeccione, confirme, corrobore, y establezca. (aiōnios g166)
A él sea gloria, é imperio para siempre. Amen. (aiōn g165)
12 Through Silvanus, the faithful brother as I reckon, I wrote through few [words] to you, exhorting and testifying this to be the true grace of God in which you have stood.
Por Silvano, hermano fiel segun yo pienso, os he escrito brevemente, amonestándoos, y testificando que esta es la verdadera gracia de Dios, en la cual estais.
13 She in Babylon chosen with you greets you, and my son Marcus.
La [iglesia que está] en Babilonia, juntamente elegida con vosotros, os saluda, y Marcos mi hijo.
14 Greet one another in a kiss of love. Peace to you all who [are] in Christ Jesus! Amen.
Saludáos unos á otros con ósculo de caridad. Paz [sea] con todos vosotros los que estais en Jesu-Cristo. Amen.
