1 Peter 1
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
ปนฺต-คาลาติยา-กปฺปทกิยา-อาศิยา-พิถุนิยาเทเศษุ ปฺรวาสิโน เย วิกีรฺณโลกา:
2 according to [the] foreknowledge of God the Father, by [the] sanctification of the Spirit, to [the] obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
ปิตุรีศฺวรสฺย ปูรฺวฺวนิรฺณยาทฺ อาตฺมน: ปาวเนน ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาชฺญาคฺรหณาย โศณิตโปฺรกฺษณาย จาภิรุจิตาสฺตานฺ ปฺรติ ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย เปฺรริต: ปิตร: ปตฺรํ ลิขติฯ ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺรติ พาหุเลฺยน ศานฺติรนุคฺรหศฺจ ภูยาสฺตำฯ
3 Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness begot us again to a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ out of the dead,
อสฺมากํ ปฺรโภ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย ตาต อีศฺวโร ธนฺย: , ยต: ส สฺวกียพหุกฺฤปาโต มฺฤตคณมธฺยาทฺ ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏโสฺยตฺถาเนน ชีวนปฺรตฺยาศารฺถมฺ อรฺถโต
4 to an incorruptible inheritance, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved for you in the heavens,
'กฺษยนิษฺกลงฺกามฺลานสมฺปตฺติปฺราปฺตฺยรฺถมฺ อสฺมานฺ ปุน รฺชนยามาสฯ สา สมฺปตฺติ: สฺวรฺเค 'สฺมากํ กฺฤเต สญฺจิตา ติษฺฐติ,
5 who, in the power of God are being guarded, through faith, to salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,
ยูยญฺเจศฺวรสฺย ศกฺติต: เศษกาเล ปฺรกาศฺยปริตฺราณารฺถํ วิศฺวาเสน รกฺษฺยเธฺวฯ
6 in which you are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in various trials,
ตสฺมาทฺ ยูยํ ยทฺยปฺยานนฺเทน ปฺรผุลฺลา ภวถ ตถาปิ สามฺปฺรตํ ปฺรโยชนเหโต: กิยตฺกาลปรฺยฺยนฺตํ นานาวิธปรีกฺษาภิ: กฺลิศฺยเธฺวฯ
7 so that the proof of your faith—much more precious than gold that is perishing, and being approved through fire—may be found to [result in] praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
ยโต วหฺนินา ยสฺย ปรีกฺษา ภวติ ตสฺมาตฺ นศฺวรสุวรฺณาทปิ พหุมูลฺยํ ยุษฺมากํ วิศฺวาสรูปํ ยตฺ ปรีกฺษิตํ สฺวรฺณํ เตน ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาคมนสมเย ปฺรศํสายา: สมาทรสฺย เคารวสฺย จ โยคฺยตา ปฺราปฺตวฺยาฯ
8 whom, having not seen, you love, in whom, now believing [although] not seeing, you are glad with unspeakable joy and have been filled with glory,
ยูยํ ตํ ขฺรีษฺฏมฺ อทฺฤษฺฏฺวาปิ ตสฺมินฺ ปฺรียเธฺว สามฺปฺรตํ ตํ น ปศฺยนฺโต'ปิ ตสฺมินฺ วิศฺวสนฺโต 'นิรฺวฺวจนีเยน ปฺรภาวยุกฺเตน จานนฺเทน ปฺรผุลฺลา ภวถ,
9 receiving the outcome of the faith—salvation of your souls;
สฺววิศฺวาสสฺย ปริณามรูปมฺ อาตฺมนำ ปริตฺราณํ ลภเธฺว จฯ
10 concerning which salvation [the] prophets sought out and searched out, who prophesied concerning the grace toward you,
ยุษฺมาสุ โย 'นุคฺรโห วรฺตฺตเต ตทฺวิษเย ย อีศฺวรียวากฺยํ กถิตวนฺตเสฺต ภวิษฺยทฺวาทินสฺตสฺย ปริตฺราณสฺยาเนฺวษณมฺ อนุสนฺธานญฺจ กฺฤตวนฺต: ฯ
11 searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was signifying, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these,
วิเศษตเสฺตษามนฺตรฺวฺวาสี ย: ขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาตฺมา ขฺรีษฺเฏ วรฺตฺติษฺยมาณานิ ทุ: ขานิ ตทนุคามิปฺรภาวญฺจ ปูรฺวฺวํ ปฺรากาศยตฺ เตน ก: กีทฺฤโศ วา สมโย นิรทิศฺยไตตสฺยานุสนฺธานํ กฺฤตวนฺต: ฯ
12 to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who proclaimed good news to you), by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven, to which things messengers desire to look into intently.
ตตไสฺต รฺวิษไยเสฺต ยนฺน สฺวานฺ กินฺตฺวสฺมานฺ อุปกุรฺวฺวนฺเตฺยตตฺ เตษำ นิกเฏ ปฺรากาศฺยตฯ ยำศฺจ ตานฺ วิษยานฺ ทิวฺยทูตา อปฺยวนตศิรโส นิรีกฺษิตุมฺ อภิลษนฺติ เต วิษยา: สามฺปฺรตํ สฺวรฺคาตฺ เปฺรษิตสฺย ปวิตฺรสฺยาตฺมน: สหายฺยาทฺ ยุษฺมตฺสมีเป สุสํวาทปฺรจารยิตฺฤภิ: ปฺรากาศฺยนฺตฯ
13 For this reason, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly on the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
อเตอว ยูยํ มน: กฏิพนฺธนํ กฺฤตฺวา ปฺรพุทฺธา: สนฺโต ยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺย ปฺรกาศสมเย ยุษฺมาสุ วรฺตฺติษฺยมานสฺยานุคฺรหสฺย สมฺปูรฺณำ ปฺรตฺยาศำ กุรุตฯ
14 as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance,
อปรํ ปูรฺวฺวียาชฺญานตาวสฺถายา: กุตฺสิตาภิลาษาณำ โยคฺยมฺ อาจารํ น กุรฺวฺวนฺโต ยุษฺมทาหฺวานการี ยถา ปวิโตฺร 'สฺติ
15 but according as He who called you [is] holy, you also, become holy in all behavior,
ยูยมปฺยาชฺญาคฺราหิสนฺตานา อิว สรฺวฺวสฺมินฺ อาจาเร ตาทฺฤกฺ ปวิตฺรา ภวตฯ
16 because it has been written: “Become holy, because I am holy”;
ยโต ลิขิตมฺ อาเสฺต, ยูยํ ปวิตฺราสฺติษฺฐต ยสฺมาทหํ ปวิตฺร: ฯ
17 and if you call on the Father, who is judging without favoritism according to the work of each, pass the time of your sojourn in fear,
อปรญฺจ โย วินาปกฺษปาตมฺ เอไกกมานุษสฺย กรฺมฺมานุสาราทฺ วิจารํ กโรติ ส ยทิ ยุษฺมาภิสฺตาต อาขฺยายเต ตรฺหิ สฺวปฺรวาสสฺย กาโล ยุษฺมาภิ รฺภีตฺยา ยาปฺยตำฯ
18 having known that, not with corruptible things—silver or gold—were you redeemed from your foolish behavior inherited from our forefathers,
ยูยํ นิรรฺถกาตฺ ไปตฺฤกาจาราตฺ กฺษยณีไย รูปฺยสุวรฺณาทิภิ รฺมุกฺตึ น ปฺราปฺย
19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted—Christ’s—
นิษฺกลงฺกนิรฺมฺมลเมษศาวกเสฺยว ขฺรีษฺฏสฺย พหุมูเลฺยน รุธิเรณ มุกฺตึ ปฺราปฺตวนฺต อิติ ชานีถฯ
20 foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and revealed in the last times because of you,
ส ชคโต ภิตฺติมูลสฺถาปนาตฺ ปูรฺวฺวํ นิยุกฺต: กินฺตุ จรมทิเนษุ ยุษฺมทรฺถํ ปฺรกาศิโต 'ภวตฺฯ
21 who through Him believe in God who raised [Him] out of the dead, and gave glory to Him, so that your faith and hope may be in God.
ยตเสฺตไนว มฺฤตคณาตฺ ตโสฺยตฺถาปยิตริ ตไสฺม เคารวทาตริ เจศฺวเร วิศฺวสิถ ตสฺมาทฺ อีศฺวเร ยุษฺมากํ วิศฺวาส: ปฺรตฺยาศา จาเสฺตฯ
22 Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unhypocritical brotherly love, love one another earnestly out of a pure heart,
ยูยมฺ อาตฺมนา สตฺยมตสฺยาชฺญาคฺรหณทฺวารา นิษฺกปฏาย ภฺราตฺฤเปฺรมฺเน ปาวิตมนโส ภูตฺวา นิรฺมฺมลานฺต: กรไณ: ปรสฺปรํ คาฒํ เปฺรม กุรุตฯ
23 being begotten again, not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through a word of God—living and remaining—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
ยสฺมาทฺ ยูยํ กฺษยณียวีรฺยฺยาตฺ นหิ กินฺตฺวกฺษยณียวีรฺยฺยาทฺ อีศฺวรสฺย ชีวนทายเกน นิตฺยสฺถายินา วาเกฺยน ปุนรฺชนฺม คฺฤหีตวนฺต: ฯ (aiōn g165)
24 because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; the grass withered, and the flower of it fell away,
สรฺวฺวปฺราณี ตฺฤไณสฺตุลฺยสฺตตฺเตชสฺตฺฤณปุษฺปวตฺฯ ตฺฤณานิ ปริศุษฺยติ ปุษฺปาณิ นิปตนฺติ จฯ
