< 1 Peter 1 >

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the chosen sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Jesus Christ i sawltak keima Peter in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia le Bithynia ngam mun tatuam ah a ki thethang siat peamta te,
2 according to [the] foreknowledge of God the Father, by [the] sanctification of the Spirit, to [the] obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you!
Pa Pathian in a heaksa bangma in hongteal, Thaa i thianthosak na le Jesus Christ thisan the na tungtawn in thu ni te: note tung ah thuthiamna le thinnopna hong khang tahen.
3 Blessed [is] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness begot us again to a living hope, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ out of the dead,
Pathian le i Topa Jesus Christ i Pa tung ah thupha om tahen, Ama i a dimlet hesuakna hang in Jesus Christ sia thina pan thokiksak a, a nungta lametna nei tu in hong suaksak hi,
4 to an incorruptible inheritance, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved for you in the heavens,
A muat thei ngawl, a niin thei ngawl, le a vul thei ngawl ngamh sia note atu in vantung ah hong koisak hi,
5 who, in the power of God are being guarded, through faith, to salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,
Hun khakbel ciang kilang kiksak tu in a kingingkholsa a om ngupna sia upna tungtawn in Pathian vangletna taw a kepcing te na hi uh hi.
6 in which you are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in various trials,
Ze-etna nam tatuam hang in, tu in a kisam le, tawmvei sung na khuangai uh hang in, tua thu sung ah note nasiatakin na lungdam uh hi:
7 so that the proof of your faith—much more precious than gold that is perishing, and being approved through fire—may be found to [result in] praise, and honor, and glory, at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
Tua na upna uh ze-etna sia a mangthang thei kham sang in manphazaw pek hi, mei taw ze-et napi, Jesus Christ hong kilang ciang in pokna, zatakna le minthanna taw a mu tu in:
8 whom, having not seen, you love, in whom, now believing [although] not seeing, you are glad with unspeakable joy and have been filled with glory,
Ama sia na mu ngei ngawl uh hang, na it uh hi; tu zong in mu ngawl na hi uh hang, na um uh hi, tua ahikom a ki son zo ngawl lungdamna taw na lungdam uh a, vangletna taw kidim hi:
9 receiving the outcome of the faith—salvation of your souls;
Na upna uh hang in phattuamna, na thaa ngupna na nga uh hi.
10 concerning which salvation [the] prophets sought out and searched out, who prophesied concerning the grace toward you,
Hi ngupna sia note tung ah hongpai pheang tu a ki pualak sa thuthiamna thu a hihi, tasia in kamsang te in dawp a, nasiatak in a zon uh a hihi:
11 searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was signifying, testifying beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these,
Christ i thuakna te ahizong, a thuak zawkciang in a nga tu minthanna ahizong, amate sung ah Christ i Thaa in tetti a pan zawkciang in, bangziam, a hibale, bangbang hun ziam, ci zong uh hi.
12 to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who proclaimed good news to you), by the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven, to which things messengers desire to look into intently.
Kamsang te i pualakna sia amate atu hi ngawl in eite atu a hihi, ci sia kilang zo hi, vantung pan hongpai Tha Thiangtho taw note tung ah lungdamna thupha hong hil te in tua thu sia pualak zo uh hi; tua thu sia vantungmi te in zong he nuam mama in encik uh hi.
13 For this reason, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly on the grace that is being brought to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,
Tua ahikom na ngaisutna kawngkhau uh khit vun, pilvang vun, Jesus Christ hong kilang ciang in note kung ah hong paipui tu thuthiamna sia a tawpdong in lamen vun.
14 as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance,
Na thu heak uh ma, nidang cilesa deina bang kizeam ngawl in, thu ni tate bang in om vun:
15 but according as He who called you [is] holy, you also, become holy in all behavior,
Ahihang note hongsampa a thiantho bangma in, note zong na nuntakzia theampo ah thiangtho tavun;
16 because it has been written: “Become holy, because I am holy”;
Banghangziam cile, keima ka thiantho bang in, note zong thiangtho ta vun; ci in ki at hi.
17 and if you call on the Father, who is judging without favoritism according to the work of each, pass the time of your sojourn in fear,
Taciang, kuama doidan nei ngawl in mi theampo amate i sepna bang in thu a khen, Pa tung ah thu na ngen uh le, hi leitung na khualhaw uh hun te sia Ama zatakna taw bosak tavun:
18 having known that, not with corruptible things—silver or gold—were you redeemed from your foolish behavior inherited from our forefathers,
Na pu na pa te tung pan na nga uh ngeina, bangma phattuamna om ngawl na nuntakzia uh pan in, kham le ngun bang a sia thei nate taw hong tan hi ngawl hi;
19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and unspotted—Christ’s—
Ahihang, bangma paubang ngawl le a sitbang ngawl tuuno bang a hi, Christ thisan manpha taw hong tan hi:
20 foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and revealed in the last times because of you,
Ama sia leitung a ki bitphua ma in a kiciangtan sa hi napi, note atu in hunkhakbel sung ah hong kilang hi,
21 who through Him believe in God who raised [Him] out of the dead, and gave glory to Him, so that your faith and hope may be in God.
Jesus hang in Pathian na um uh a, na upna uh le na lametna uh Pathian sung ah a om thei natu in, Ama sia thina pan thokiksak a, minthanna pia hi.
22 Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unhypocritical brotherly love, love one another earnestly out of a pure heart,
Thuman na zui uh a, na thinsung uh thiangthosak zo na hi uhkom in, Thaa tungtawn in suapui te sia itna tak taw na it uh hi, tabang in khat le khat thinsung thiangtho le thinsungtak taw ki it tavun:
23 being begotten again, not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through a word of God—living and remaining—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
A muat thei thaici hi ngawl, a tawntung nungta in a om tawntung Pathian thu, a muat thei ngawl thaici tungtawn in na suakkik zo uh hi. (aiōn g165)
24 because all flesh [is] as grass, and all glory of man as flower of grass; the grass withered, and the flower of it fell away,
Banghangziam cile pumpi taksa theampo sia lopa bang a hihi, taciang mihing i minthanna theampo sia lopa pak bang a hihi. Lopa sia vul a, a pak zong pul hi:
25 but the saying of the LORD remains—throughout the age; and this is the saying of good news that was proclaimed to you. (aiōn g165)
Ahihang Topa thu sia a tawntung in kip hi. Taciang hi thu tungtawn in lungdamna thupha sia note tung ah hong ki hil hi. (aiōn g165)
