1 Kings 1
1 And King David [is] old, entering into days, and they cover him with garments, and he has no heat,
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜା ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଓ ଗତବୟସ୍କ ହେଲେ; ତହିଁରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଅନେକ ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଘୋଡ଼ାଇଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ସେ କିଛି ଉଷ୍ଣତା ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ।
2 and his servants say to him, “Let them seek [for] a young woman, a virgin, for my lord the king, and she has stood before the king, and is a companion to him, and has lain in your bosom, and my lord the king has heat.”
ଏଥିପାଇଁ, ତାଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଗୋଟିଏ ଯୁବତୀ କନ୍ୟା ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରାଯାଉ ଓ ସେ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଠିଆ ହୋଇ ସେବା କରୁ; ଆଉ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜ ଯେପରି ଉଷ୍ଣତା ପାଇବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେ ଆପଣଙ୍କ କୋଳରେ ଶୟନ କରୁ।
3 And they seek [for] a beautiful young woman in all the border of Israel, and find Abishag the Shunammite, and bring her to the king,
ତହିଁରେ ଲୋକମାନେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ସମସ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ସୁନ୍ଦରୀ କନ୍ୟାର ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣ କରି ଶୁନେମୀୟା ଅବୀଶଗ ନାମକ ଏକ କନ୍ୟାକୁ ପାଇ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।
4 and the young woman [is] very, very beautiful, and she is a companion to the king, and serves him, and the king has not known her.
ସେହି ଯୁବତୀ ଅତି ସୁନ୍ଦରୀ ଥିଲା ଓ ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ସେବା ଓ ପରିଚର୍ଯ୍ୟା କଲା; ମାତ୍ର ରାଜା ତାହାର ସହବାସ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
5 And Adonijah son of Haggith is lifting himself up, saying, “I reign”; and he prepares for himself a chariot and horsemen, and fifty men running before him,
ଏହି ସମୟରେ ହଗୀତର ପୁତ୍ର ଅଦୋନୀୟ ଆପଣାକୁ ବଡ଼ କରି କହିଲା, “ମୁଁ ରାଜା ହେବି,” ଏଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ପାଇଁ ରଥ ଓ ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀଗଣ ଓ ଆପଣା ଆଗେ ଆଗେ ଦୌଡ଼ିବା ପାଇଁ ପଚାଶ ଜଣ ଦେହରକ୍ଷୀକୁ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କଲେ।
6 and his father has not grieved him [all] his days, saying, “Why have you done this?” And he also [is] of a very good form, and [his mother] bore him after Absalom.
ମାତ୍ର, ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହିଁକି ଏପରି କରୁଅଛ ବୋଲି କହି ତାହାର ପିତା ତାହାକୁ କୌଣସି ସମୟରେ ଅସନ୍ତୁଷ୍ଟ କରି ନ ଥିଲେ। ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଅତି ସୁନ୍ଦର ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ଅବଶାଲୋମ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଜାତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
7 And his words are with Joab son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest, and they help after Adonijah;
ପୁଣି, ସେ ସରୁୟାର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋୟାବ ଓ ଅବୀୟାଥର ଯାଜକ ସହିତ ପରାମର୍ଶ କଲା; ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଅଦୋନୀୟର ଅନୁଗତ ହୋଇ ତାହାକୁ ସାହାଯ୍ୟ କଲେ।
8 and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty ones whom David has, have not been with Adonijah.
ମାତ୍ର, ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକ ଓ ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟ ଓ ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଓ ଶିମୀୟି ଓ ରେୟି ଓ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କର ବୀରଗଣ ଅଦୋନୀୟର ପକ୍ଷ ନ ଥିଲେ।
9 And Adonijah sacrifices sheep and oxen and fatlings near the stone of Zoheleth that [is] by En-Rogel, and calls all his brothers, sons of the king, and for all the men of Judah, servants of the king;
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଅଦୋନୀୟ ଐନ୍-ରୋଗେଲର ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱସ୍ଥ ସୋହେଲତ୍-ପ୍ରସ୍ତର ନିକଟରେ ମେଷ, ବୃଷ ଓ ପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁମାନଙ୍କୁ ମାରି ଆପଣା ଭ୍ରାତା ସମସ୍ତ ରାଜପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଓ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଯିହୁଦାର ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କଲେ।
10 and he has not called Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty ones, and his brother Solomon.
ମାତ୍ର, ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ବନାୟକୁ ଓ ବୀରମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଆପଣା ଭାଇ ଶଲୋମନକୁ ସେ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କଲେ ନାହିଁ।
11 And Nathan speaks to Bathsheba, mother of Solomon, saying, “Have you not heard that Adonijah son of Haggith has reigned, and our lord David has not known?
ଏଥିରେ ନାଥନ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ମାତା ବତ୍ଶେବାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ଅଜ୍ଞାତସାରରେ ହଗୀତର ପୁତ୍ର ଅଦୋନୀୟ ରାଜା ହୋଇଅଛି, ଏହା କʼଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଶୁଣି ନାହଁ?
12 And now, come, please let me counsel you, and deliver your life and the life of your son Solomon;
ଏହେତୁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଏବେ ଆସ, ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପରାମର୍ଶ ଦେବି; ତହିଁରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରାଣ ଓ ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନର ପ୍ରାଣ ରକ୍ଷା କରିବ।
13 go and enter in to King David, and you have said to him: Have you not, my lord, O king, sworn to your handmaid, saying, Surely your son Solomon reigns after me, and he sits on my throne? And why has Adonijah reigned?
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଯାଇ ତାଙ୍କୁ କୁହ, ‘ହେ ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୋ, ମହାରାଜ, ଆପଣ କି ଶପଥ କରି ଆପଣା ଦାସୀକୁ କହି ନାହାନ୍ତି, ମୋʼ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବ ଓ ସେ ମୋʼ ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସିବ? ତେବେ, କାହିଁକି ଅଦୋନୀୟ ରାଜା ହୋଇଅଛି?’
14 Behold, you are yet speaking there with the king, and I come in after you, and have completed your words.”
ଦେଖ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରୁଥିବା ବେଳେ ମୁଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପଛେ ଯାଇ ତୁମ୍ଭ କଥା ଦୃଢ଼ କରିବି।”
15 And Bathsheba comes in to the king, [into] the inner chamber, and the king [is] very aged, and Abishag the Shunammite is serving the king;
ଏଥିରେ ବତ୍ଶେବା କୋଠରି ଭିତରେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲା; ସେହି ସମୟରେ ରାଜା ଅତି ବୃଦ୍ଧ ଥିଲେ; ଆଉ ଶୁନେମୀୟା ଅବୀଶଗ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ପରିଚର୍ଯ୍ୟା କରୁଥିଲା।
16 and Bathsheba bows and pays respect to the king, and the king says, “What do you [want]?”
ତହୁଁ ବତ୍ଶେବା ନଇଁପଡ଼ି ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା। ତହିଁରେ ରାଜା ପଚାରିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କଅଣ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଅଛ?”
17 And she says to him, “My lord, you have sworn by your God YHWH to your handmaid, [saying], Surely your son Solomon reigns after me, and he sits on my throne;
ଏଥିରେ ସେ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ହେ ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୋ, ଆପଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆପଣା ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ଆପଣା ଦାସୀ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଥିଲେ ଯେ, ମୋʼ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବ ଓ ସେ ମୋʼ ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସିବ।”
18 and now, behold, Adonijah has reigned, and now, my lord, O king, you have not known;
ମାତ୍ର, ଏବେ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଅଦୋନୀୟ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଆଉ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜ ତାହା ଜାଣନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
19 and he sacrifices ox, and fatling, and sheep in abundance, and calls for all the sons of the king, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab head of the host—and he has not called for your servant Solomon.
ଆଉ, ସେ ଅନେକ ବୃଷ, ପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁ ଓ ମେଷ ମାରି ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ସମସ୍ତ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଅବୀୟାଥର ଯାଜକଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯୋୟାବ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ମାତ୍ର, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଶଲୋମନକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରି ନାହିଁ।
20 And you, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel [are] on you, to declare to them who sit on the throne of my lord the king after him;
ପୁଣି, ହେ ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୋ, ମହାରାଜ, ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତାରେ କିଏ ବସିବ, ଏହା ଯେପରି ଆପଣ ସମଗ୍ର ଇସ୍ରାଏଲକୁ କହିବେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ଅଛି।
21 and it has been, when my lord the king lies with his fathers, that I have been, I and my son Solomon—[reckoned] sinners.”
ନୋହିଲେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜ ଆପଣା ପିତୃଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଶୟନ କଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ମୁଁ ଓ ମୋʼ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନ ଦୋଷୀ ଗଣିତ ହେବୁ।
22 And behold, she is yet speaking with the king, and Nathan the prophet has come in;
ଆଉ, ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସହିତ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ, ଦେଖ, ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲେ।
23 and they declare to the king, saying, “Behold, Nathan the prophet”; and he comes in before the king, and bows himself to the king, on his face to the earth.
ଏଣୁ, ସେମାନେ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଏହି ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା। ତହିଁରେ ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖକୁ ଆସି ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ହୋଇ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ।”
24 And Nathan says, “My lord, O king, you have said, Adonijah reigns after me, and he sits on my throne;
ପୁଣି, ନାଥନ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ମୋହର ପ୍ରଭୋ ମହାରାଜ, ମୋʼ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଅଦୋନୀୟ ରାଜ୍ୟ କରିବ ଓ ମୋʼ ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସିବ, ଏହା କଅଣ ଆପଣ କହିଅଛନ୍ତି?”
25 for he has gone down today, and sacrifices ox, and fatling, and sheep, in abundance, and calls for all the sons of the king, and for the heads of the host, and for Abiathar the priest, and behold, they are eating and drinking before him, and they say, Let King Adonijah live!
କାରଣ, ସେ ଆଜି ଯାଇ ଅନେକ ବୃଷ, ପୁଷ୍ଟ ପଶୁ ଓ ମେଷ ମାରି ରାଜପୁତ୍ର ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଓ ସେନାପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଅବୀୟାଥର ଯାଜକଙ୍କୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆଉ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ସେମାନେ ତାହା ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ଭୋଜନପାନ କରି କହୁଅଛନ୍ତି, ଅଦୋନୀୟ ରାଜା ଚିରଜୀବୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
26 But he has not called for me, your servant, and for Zadok the priest, and for Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, and for your servant Solomon;
ମାତ୍ର, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଯେ ମୁଁ, ମୋତେ ଓ ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟକୁ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସ ଶଲୋମନକୁ ସେ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରି ନାହାନ୍ତି।
27 if this thing has been from my lord the king, then you have not caused your servant to know who sits on the throne of my lord the king after him.”
ଏହି କର୍ମ କି ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହରାଜଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ହେଲା, ଆଉ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ତାରେ କିଏ ବସିବ, ଏହା ଆପଣ ନିଜ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇ ନାହାନ୍ତି?
28 And King David answers and says, “Call for Bathsheba for me”; and she comes in before the king, and stands before the king.
ତେବେ, ଦାଉଦ ରାଜା ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲେ, “ବତ୍ଶେବାକୁ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଡାକ। ତହୁଁ ସେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁକୁ ଆସି ରାଜାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲା।”
29 And the king swears and says, “YHWH lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity;
ଏଥିରେ ରାଜା ଶପଥ କରି କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ନାମରେ
30 surely as I swore to you by YHWH, God of Israel, saying, Surely your son Solomon reigns after me, and he sits on my throne in my stead; surely so I do this day.”
ଯେପରି ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରିଅଛି ଯେ, ମୋʼ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ରାଜା ହେବ ଓ ମୋʼ ପଦରେ ମୋʼ ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସିବ, ସବୁ କ୍ଳେଶରୁ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରାଣ ମୁକ୍ତକାରୀ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ମୁଁ ଅବଶ୍ୟ ଆଜି ସେପରି କରିବି।”
31 And Bathsheba bows—face to the earth—and pays respect to the king, and says, “Let my lord, King David, live for all time.”
ତହୁଁ ବତ୍ଶେବା ଭୂମିରେ ମୁହଁ ମାଡ଼ି ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କରି କହିଲା, “ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜ ଦାଉଦ ଚିରଜୀବୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।”
32 And King David says, “Call for Zadok the priest, and for Nathan the prophet, and for Benaiah son of Jehoiada for me”; and they come in before the king.
ଏଥିରେ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜା କହିଲେ, “ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକଙ୍କୁ ଓ ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟକୁ ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଡାକ।” ଏଣୁ, ସେମାନେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖକୁ ଆସିଲେ।
33 And the king says to them, “Take the servants of your lord with you, and you have caused my son Solomon to ride on my own mule, and caused him to go down to Gihon,
ତହିଁରେ, ରାଜା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣା ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କୁ ସଙ୍ଗେ ନେଇ ଓ ମୋʼ ପୁତ୍ର ଶଲୋମନକୁ ମୋʼ ନିଜ ଖଚରରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରାଇ ଗୀହୋନ ଝରଣାକୁ ନେଇଯାଅ।”
34 and Zadok the priest has anointed him there—and Nathan the prophet—for king over Israel, and you have blown with a horn and said, Let King Solomon live;
ଆଉ, ସେଠାରେ ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକ ଓ ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ତାହାକୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଉପରେ ରାଜାଭିଷିକ୍ତ କରନ୍ତୁ; ପୁଣି, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୂରୀ ବଜାଇ କୁହ, ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜା ଚିରଜୀବୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
35 and you have come up after him, and he has come in and has sat on my throne, and he reigns in my stead, and I have appointed him to be leader over Israel, and over Judah.”
ତହିଁ ଉତ୍ତାରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାର ପଛେ ପଛେ ଆସ ଓ ସେ ଆସି ମୋʼ ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସୁ; କାରଣ, ସେ ମୋʼ ପଦରେ ରାଜା ହେବ; ଆଉ, ମୁଁ ତାହାକୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲ ଓ ଯିହୁଦାର ଅଗ୍ରଣୀ କରି ନିଯୁକ୍ତ କରିଅଛି।
36 And Benaiah son of Jehoiada answers the king and says, “Amen! So does YHWH, God of my lord the king, say;
ଏଥିରେ ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, “ଆମେନ୍,” ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜଙ୍କୁ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମଧ୍ୟ ଏପରି କହନ୍ତୁ।
37 as YHWH has been with my lord the king, so is He with Solomon, and makes his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.”
ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଯେପରି ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜାଙ୍କର ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହୋଇଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେହିପରି ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କର ସହବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ ଓ ସେ ମୋʼ ପ୍ରଭୁ ମହାରାଜ ଦାଉଦଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ତାଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ ବଡ଼ କରନ୍ତୁ।
38 And Zadok the priest goes down, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethite, and the Pelethite, and they cause Solomon to ride on the mule of King David, and cause him to go to Gihon,
ଏଥିରେ ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକ, ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା, ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟ, କରେଥୀୟ ଓ ପଲେଥୀୟ ଲୋକମାନେ ଯାଇ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଖଚର ଉପରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରାଇ ଗୀହୋନକୁ ଆଣିଲେ।
39 and Zadok the priest takes the horn of oil out of the tent, and anoints Solomon, and they blow with a horn, and all the people say, “Let King Solomon live.”
ପୁଣି, ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକ ତମ୍ବୁ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ତୈଳପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଶୃଙ୍ଗ ନେଇ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଷେକ କଲେ। ତହୁଁ ଲୋକମାନେ ତୂରୀ ବଜାନ୍ତେ, ସମସ୍ତେ କହିଲେ, “ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜା ଚିରଜୀବୀ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।”
40 And all the people come up after him, and the people are piping with pipes, and rejoicing [with] great joy, and the earth splits with their voice.
ଆଉ, ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପଛେ ପଛେ ଉଠି ଆସିଲେ ଓ ଲୋକମାନେ ବଂଶୀ ବଜାଇ ଏପରି ମହାହର୍ଷନାଦ କଲେ ଯେ, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଶବ୍ଦରେ ପୃଥିବୀ ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହେଲା।
41 And Adonijah hears, and all those called who [are] with him, and they have finished to eat, and Joab hears the noise of the horn and says, “Why [is] the noise of the city roaring?”
ପୁଣି, ଅଦୋନୀୟ ଓ ତାହାର ସଙ୍ଗୀ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ସମସ୍ତ ଲୋକ ଭୋଜନ ଶେଷ କରିବା ସମୟରେ ତାହା ଶୁଣିଲେ। ଆଉ, ଯୋୟାବ ତୂରୀ ଶବ୍ଦ ଶୁଣି ପଚାରିଲା, ନଗରରେ ଏହି କୋଳାହଳ ଶବ୍ଦ କାହିଁକି ହେଉଅଛି?
42 He is yet speaking, and behold, Jonathan son of Abiathar the priest has come in, and Adonijah says, “Come in, for you [are] a man of valor, and you bear good tidings.”
ସେ ଏପରି କହୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ, ଦେଖ, ଅବୀୟାଥର ଯାଜକର ପୁତ୍ର ଯୋନାଥନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହେଲା; ତହିଁରେ ଅଦୋନୀୟ କହିଲା, “ଭିତରକୁ ଆସ; କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ପୁରୁଷ ଓ ସୁସମାଚାର ଆଣିଥିବ।”
43 And Jonathan answers and says to Adonijah, “Truly our lord King David has caused Solomon to reign,
ତହିଁରେ ଯୋନାଥନ ଅଦୋନୀୟକୁ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା, “ସତ୍ୟ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ରାଜା କରିଅଛନ୍ତି;
44 and the king sends with him Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethite, and the Pelethite, and they cause him to ride on the king’s mule,
ପୁଣି, ରାଜା ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକଙ୍କୁ, ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଙ୍କୁ ଓ ଯିହୋୟାଦାର ପୁତ୍ର ବନାୟକୁ, ପୁଣି, କରେଥୀୟ ଓ ପଲେଥୀୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ପଠାଇଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ନିଜ ଖଚରରେ ଆରୋହଣ କରାଇଲେ;
45 and they anoint him—Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet—for king in Gihon, and have come up there rejoicing, and the city is moved; it [is] the noise that you have heard.
ଆଉ, ସାଦୋକ ଯାଜକ ଓ ନାଥନ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତା ତାଙ୍କୁ ଗୀହୋନରେ ରାଜାଭିଷିକ୍ତ କଲେ ଓ ସେମାନେ ସେଠାରୁ ଏପରି ଆନନ୍ଦ କରି କରି ଆସିଲେ ଯେ, ତହିଁର ଶବ୍ଦରେ ନଗରରେ କୋଳାହଳ ହେଲା। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯାହା ଶୁଣିଲ, ତାହା ସେହି ଶବ୍ଦ।
46 And also Solomon has sat on the throne of the kingdom,
ଶଲୋମନ ମଧ୍ୟ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସୁଅଛନ୍ତି।
47 and also the servants of the king have come into bless our lord King David, saying, Your God makes the name of Solomon better than your name, and his throne greater than your throne; and the king bows himself on the bed,
ଆହୁରି ରାଜାଙ୍କର ଦାସମାନେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଦାଉଦ ରାଜାଙ୍କର ମଙ୍ଗଳବାଦ କରିବାକୁ ଆସି କହିଲେ, ‘ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଆପଣଙ୍କ ନାମ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ନାମ ଅଧିକ କରନ୍ତୁ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ତାଙ୍କ ସିଂହାସନ ବଡ଼ କରନ୍ତୁ,’ ତହିଁରେ ରାଜା ଶଯ୍ୟାରେ ଥାଇ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ।
48 and also thus the king has said, Blessed [is] YHWH, God of Israel, who has given [one] sitting on my throne today, and my eyes are seeing.”
ଆଉ, ମଧ୍ୟ ରାଜା ଏପରି କହିଲେ, ‘ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଧନ୍ୟ, ସେ ଆଜି ମୋʼ ସିଂହାସନରେ ବସିବା ପାଇଁ ଜଣକୁ ଯୋଗାଇଲେ, ଏହା ହିଁ ମୋହର ଚକ୍ଷୁ ଦେଖିଲା।’”
49 And they tremble, and rise—all those called who [are] for Adonijah—and go, each on his way;
ଏଥିରେ ଅଦୋନୀୟର ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଲୋକ ସମସ୍ତେ ଭୀତ ହେଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଉଠି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକେ ଆପଣା ଆପଣା ବାଟରେ ଚାଲିଗଲେ।
50 and Adonijah fears because of Solomon, and rises, and goes, and lays hold on the horns of the altar.
ଆଉ, ଅଦୋନୀୟ ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କ ସକାଶୁ ଭୀତ ହେଲା ଓ ସେ ଉଠିଯାଇ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିର ଶୃଙ୍ଗ ଧରିପକାଇଲା।
51 And it is declared to Solomon, saying, “Behold, Adonijah fears King Solomon, and behold, he has laid hold on the horns of the altar, saying, Let King Solomon swear to me as today—he does not put his servant to death by the sword.”
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ କେହି ଶଲୋମନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣାଇ କହିଲା, “ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ଅଦୋନୀୟ ଭୟ କରୁଅଛି; କାରଣ, ସେ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିର ଶୃଙ୍ଗ ଅବଲମ୍ବନ କରି କହୁଅଛି, ‘ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜା ଯେ ଆପଣା ଦାସକୁ ଖଡ୍ଗରେ ବଧ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ସେ ଆଜି ମୋʼ ନିକଟରେ ଶପଥ କରନ୍ତୁ।’”
52 And Solomon says, “If he becomes a virtuous man—there does not fall [even one] hair of his to the earth, and if evil is found in him—then he has died.”
ତହିଁରେ ଶଲୋମନ କହିଲେ, “ଯେବେ ସେ ଆପଣାକୁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଲୋକ ଦେଖାଇବ, ତେବେ ତାହାର ଏକ କେଶ ହିଁ ଭୂମିରେ ପଡ଼ିବ ନାହିଁ; ମାତ୍ର, ତାହାଠାରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟତା ଦେଖାଗଲେ, ସେ ମରିବ।”
53 And King Solomon sends, and they bring him down from off the altar, and he comes in and bows himself to King Solomon, and Solomon says to him, “Go to your house.”
ତହୁଁ ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜା ଲୋକ ପଠାନ୍ତେ, ସେମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ଯଜ୍ଞବେଦିରୁ ଓହ୍ଲାଇ ଆଣିଲେ। ତହିଁରେ ସେ ଆସି ଶଲୋମନ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲା, ପୁଣି, ଶଲୋମନ ତାହାକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆପଣା ଘରକୁ ଯାଅ।”
