1 Kings 6
1 And it comes to pass, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fourth year—in the month of Ziv, it [is] the second month—of the reigning of Solomon over Israel, that he builds the house for YHWH.
En el año cuatrocientos ochenta después de que los hijos de Israel salieron de la tierra de Egipto, en el cuarto año del reinado de Salomón sobre Israel, en el mes de Ziv, que es el segundo mes, comenzó a edificar la casa de Yahvé.
2 As for the house that King Solomon has built for YHWH, its length [is] sixty cubits, and its breadth twenty, and its height thirty cubits.
La casa que el rey Salomón construyó para Yahvé tenía una longitud de sesenta codos, y su anchura veinte, y su altura treinta codos.
3 As for the porch on the front of the temple of the house, its length [is] twenty cubits on the front of the breadth of the house; its breadth [is] ten by the cubit on the front of the house;
El pórtico frente al templo de la casa tenía una longitud de veinte codos, que se extendía a lo ancho de la casa. Su anchura era de diez codos frente a la casa.
4 and he makes frames of narrowing windows for the house.
Hizo ventanas de celosía fija para la casa.
5 And he builds a couch against the wall of the house all around, [even] the walls of the house all around, of the temple and of the oracle, and makes sides all around.
Contra la pared de la casa, construyó pisos alrededor, contra las paredes de la casa alrededor, tanto del templo como del santuario interior; e hizo habitaciones laterales alrededor.
6 The lowest couch, its breadth [is] five by the cubit; and the middle, its breadth [is] six by the cubit; and the third, its breadth [is] seven by the cubit, for he has put withdrawings of the house all around outside—not to lay hold on the walls of the house.
El piso más bajo tenía cinco codos de ancho, el del medio seis codos de ancho y el tercero siete codos de ancho, pues por fuera hizo desviaciones en la pared de la casa en todo su perímetro, para que las vigas no se introdujeran en las paredes de la casa.
7 And the house, in its being built, has been built of perfect stone [that was] brought; and hammer and the axe—any instrument of iron—was not heard in the house in its being built.
La casa, cuando se estaba construyendo, era de piedra preparada en la cantera; y no se oyó en la casa ningún martillo ni hacha ni ninguna herramienta de hierro mientras se estaba construyendo.
8 The opening of the middle side [is] at the right shoulder of the house, and with windings they go up on the middle one, and from the middle one to the third.
La puerta de las habitaciones del medio estaba en el lado derecho de la casa. Se subía por una escalera de caracol al piso del medio, y del medio se subía al tercero.
9 And he builds the house, and completes it, and covers the house [with] beams and rows of cedars.
Así que construyó la casa y la terminó; y la cubrió con vigas y tablas de cedro.
10 And he builds the couch against all the house, its breadth [is] five cubits, and it takes hold of the house by cedar-wood.
Construyó los pisos a lo largo de la casa, cada uno de cinco codos de altura, y los apoyó en la casa con maderas de cedro.
11 And the word of YHWH is to Solomon, saying,
La palabra de Yahvé vino a Salomón, diciendo:
12 “This house that you are building—if you walk in My statutes, and do My judgments, indeed, have done all My commands, to walk in them, then I have established My word with you, which I spoke to your father David,
“En cuanto a esta casa que estás construyendo, si andas en mis estatutos, y ejecutas mis ordenanzas, y guardas todos mis mandamientos para andar en ellos, entonces confirmaré contigo mi palabra, que hablé a David tu padre.
13 and have dwelt in the midst of the sons of Israel, and do not forsake My people Israel.”
Habitaré en medio de los hijos de Israel y no abandonaré a mi pueblo Israel”.
14 And Solomon builds the house and completes it;
Salomón construyó la casa y la terminó.
15 and he builds the walls of the house within with beams of cedar, from the floor of the house to the walls of the ceiling; he has overlaid the inside with wood, and covers the floor of the house with ribs of fir.
Construyó las paredes de la casa por dentro con tablas de cedro; desde el piso de la casa hasta las paredes del techo, las cubrió por dentro con madera. Cubrió el piso de la casa con tablas de ciprés.
16 And he builds the twenty cubits on the sides of the house with ribs of cedar, from the floor to the walls; and he builds for it within, for the oracle, for the Holy of Holies.
Construyó veinte codos de la parte trasera de la casa con tablas de cedro desde el suelo hasta el techo. Construyó esto por dentro, para un santuario interior, para el lugar santísimo.
17 And [this area of] the house was forty by the cubit; it [is the area of] the temple before My face.
La parte delantera del santuario tenía cuarenta codos de largo.
18 And the cedar for the house within [is] carvings of knobs and openings of flowers; the whole [is] cedar, there is not a stone seen.
En el interior de la casa había cedro tallado con capullos y flores abiertas. Todo era de cedro. No se veía ninguna piedra.
19 And he has prepared the oracle in the midst of the house within, to put the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH there.
Preparó un santuario interior en medio de la casa de adentro, para colocar allí el arca de la alianza de Yahvé.
20 And before the oracle [is] twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and its height [is] twenty cubits; and he overlays it with gold refined, and overlays the altar with cedar.
El santuario interior tenía veinte metros de largo, veinte metros de ancho y veinte metros de alto. La recubrió de oro puro. Cubrió el altar con cedro.
21 And Solomon overlays the house within with gold refined, and causes [it] to pass over in chains of gold before the oracle, and overlays it with gold.
Salomón recubrió de oro puro la casa por dentro. Trazó cadenas de oro delante del santuario interior y lo recubrió de oro.
22 And he has overlaid the whole of the house with gold, until the completion of all the house; and the whole of the altar that the oracle has, he has overlaid with gold.
Recubrió de oro toda la casa, hasta que estuvo terminada. También recubrió de oro todo el altar que pertenecía al santuario interior.
23 And he makes two cherubim of the oil-tree within the oracle; their height [is] ten cubits;
En el santuario interior hizo dos querubines de madera de olivo, de diez codos de altura cada uno.
24 and the first wing of the cherub [is] five cubits, and the second wing of the cherub five cubits—ten cubits from the ends of his wings even to the ends of his wings;
La longitud de un ala del querubín era de cinco codos, y la del otro, de cinco codos. Desde la punta de un ala hasta la punta de la otra había diez codos.
25 and the second cherub [is] ten by the cubit; one measure and one form [are] of the two cherubim,
El otro querubín medía diez codos. Ambos querubines tenían una misma medida y una misma forma.
26 the height of the first cherub [is] ten by the cubit, and so [is] the second cherub;
Un querubín tenía diez codos de altura, y el otro querubín también.
27 and he sets the cherubim in the midst of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubim, and a wing of the first comes against the wall, and a wing of the second cherub is coming against the second wall, and their wings [stretched] into the midst of the house, coming wing against wing;
Puso los querubines dentro de la casa interior. Las alas de los querubines estaban extendidas, de tal manera que el ala de uno tocaba una pared y el ala del otro querubín tocaba la otra pared; y sus alas se tocaban entre sí en medio de la casa.
28 and he overlays the cherubim with gold,
Recubrió los querubines con oro.
29 and he has carved all around the walls of the house with engravings of carvings, cherubim, and palm trees, and openings of flowers, inside and outside.
Talló todas las paredes de la casa alrededor con figuras talladas de querubines, palmeras y flores abiertas, por dentro y por fuera.
30 And he has overlaid the floor of the house with gold, inside and outside;
Recubrió de oro el suelo de la casa, por dentro y por fuera.
31 as for the opening of the oracle, he made doors of the oil-tree; the lintel [and] doorposts [are] a fifth [of the wall].
Para la entrada del santuario interior, hizo puertas de madera de olivo. El dintel y los postes de la puerta eran la quinta parte de la pared.
32 And the two doors [are] of the oil-tree, and he has carved on them carvings of cherubim, and palm-trees, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with gold, and he causes the gold to go down on the cherubim and on the palm-trees.
Hizo, pues, dos puertas de madera de olivo, y talló en ellas tallas de querubines, palmeras y flores abiertas, y las recubrió de oro. Extendió el oro sobre los querubines y las palmeras.
33 And so he has made for the opening of the temple, doorposts of the oil-tree, from the fourth [of the wall].
También hizo los postes de la entrada del templo de madera de olivo, de una cuarta parte de la pared,
34 And the two doors [are] of fir-tree, the two sides of the first door are revolving, and the two hangings of the second door are revolving.
y dos puertas de madera de ciprés. Las dos hojas de una puerta eran plegables, y las dos hojas de la otra puerta eran plegables.
35 And he has carved cherubim, and palms, and openings of flowers, and overlaid the carved work with straightened gold.
Esculpió querubines, palmeras y flores abiertas, y los recubrió con oro ajustado a la obra grabada.
36 And he builds the inner court, three rows of hewn work, and a row of beams of cedar.
Construyó el atrio interior con tres hileras de piedra tallada y una hilera de vigas de cedro.
37 In the fourth year the house of YHWH has been founded, in the month of Ziv,
Los cimientos de la Casa de Yahvé fueron puestos en el cuarto año, en el mes de Ziv.
38 and in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul (the eighth month), the house has been finished in all its matters, and in all its ordinances, and he builds it [in] seven years.
En el undécimo año, en el mes de Bul, que es el octavo mes, la casa fue terminada en todas sus partes y según todas sus especificaciones. Así pasó siete años construyéndola.
