1 Kings 21
1 And it comes to pass after these things, a vineyard has been to Naboth the Jezreelite, that [is] in Jezreel, near the palace of Ahab king of Samaria,
౧యెజ్రెయేలులో సమరయ రాజు అహాబు భవనాన్ని ఆనుకుని యెజ్రెయేలు వాడు నాబోతుకు ఒక ద్రాక్షతోట ఉంది.
2 and Ahab speaks to Naboth, saying, “Give your vineyard to me, and it is for a garden of green herbs for me, for it [is] near by my house, and I give to you a better vineyard than it in its stead; if [this is] good in your eyes, I give to you its price [in] silver.”
౨అహాబు నాబోతును పిలిపించి “నీ ద్రాక్షతోట నా భవనాన్ని ఆనుకుని ఉంది. కాబట్టి అది నాకివ్వు. దానిలో కూరగాయలు పండించుకుంటాను. దానికి బదులు దాని కంటే మంచి ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిస్తాను. లేకపోతే దాని ఖరీదైనా ఇస్తాను” అన్నాడు.
3 And Naboth says to Ahab, “Far be it from me, by YHWH, my giving the inheritance of my fathers to you”;
౩అందుకు నాబోతు “నా పిత్రార్జితాన్ని నీకివ్వడానికి నాకెంత మాత్రం కుదరదు” అన్నాడు.
4 and Ahab comes to his house, sulky and angry, because of the word that Naboth the Jezreelite has spoken to him when he says, “I do not give the inheritance of my fathers to you,” and he lies down on his bed, and turns around his face, and has not eaten bread.
౪నా పిత్రార్జితాన్ని నీకివ్వనని యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతు తనతో చెప్పినందువల్ల అహాబు విచారంగా కోపంతో తన భవనానికి వెళ్లిపోయాడు. మంచం మీద పడుకుని ఎవరితో మాట్లాడకుండా భోజనం చేయకుండా ఉన్నాడు.
5 And his wife Jezebel comes to him, and speaks to him, “Why [is] this [that] your spirit [is] sulky, and you are not eating bread?”
౫అప్పుడు అతని భార్య యెజెబెలు వచ్చి “నీవు విచారంగా భోజనం చేయకుండా ఉన్నావేంటి?” అని అడిగింది.
6 And he says to her, “Because I speak to Naboth the Jezreelite, and say to him, Give your vineyard to me for money, or if you desire, I give a vineyard to you in its stead; and he says, I do not give my vineyard to you.”
౬అతడు ఆమెతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. “నీ ద్రాక్షతోటను నాకు అమ్ము. లేకపోతే దానికి బదులు మరొక ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిస్తానని యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతును అడిగాను. అతడు నా ద్రాక్షతోట నీకివ్వను అన్నాడు.”
7 And his wife Jezebel says to him, “You now execute rule over Israel! Rise, eat bread, and let your heart be glad—I give the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite to you.”
౭అందుకు యెజెబెలు “నీవు ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజ్యాన్ని పరిపాలన చేయడం లేదా? లేచి భోజనం చెయ్యి. మనస్సులో సంతోషంగా ఉండు. నేనే యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోట నీకిప్పిస్తాను” అంది.
8 And she writes letters in the name of Ahab, and seals with his seal, and sends the letters to the elderly and to the nobles who are in his city, those dwelling with Naboth,
౮ఆమె అహాబు పేర ఉత్తరాలు రాయించి అతని ముద్రతో ముద్రించి, ఆ ఉత్తరాలను నాబోతు నివసిస్తున్న పట్టణ పెద్దలకూ ఇంకా ముఖ్యమైన వారికీ పంపింది.
9 and she writes in the letters, saying, “Proclaim a fast, and cause Naboth to sit at the head of the people,
౯ఆ ఉత్తరాల్లో ఇలా రాయించింది. “ఉపవాస దినం జరగాలని మీరు చాటింపు వేయించి నాబోతును ప్రజల ఎదుట నిలబెట్టండి.
10 and cause two men—sons of worthlessness—to sit opposite him, and they testify of him, saying, You have blessed [[or cursed]] God and [the] king; and they have brought him out, and stoned him, and he dies.”
౧౦నీవు దేవుణ్ణి, రాజునూ దూషించావు, అని అతని మీద సాక్ష్యం చెప్పడానికి ఇద్దరు నిజాయితీ లేని మనుషులను ఏర్పాటు చేయండి. తీర్పు అయిన తరువాత అతన్ని బయటికి తీసికెళ్ళి రాళ్లతో కొట్టి చంపేయండి.”
11 And the men of his city, the elderly and the nobles who are dwelling in his city, do as Jezebel has sent to them, as written in the letters that she sent to them,
౧౧అతని నగర పెద్దలూ పట్టణంలో నివసించే ముఖ్యమైన వారూ యెజెబెలు తమకు పంపిన ఉత్తరాల్లో ఉన్నట్టుగా జరిగించారు.
12 they have proclaimed a fast, and caused Naboth to sit at the head of the people,
౧౨ఉపవాస దినం చాటించి నాబోతును ప్రజల ఎదుట నిలబెట్టారు.
13 and two men—sons of worthlessness—come in, and sit opposite him, and the men of worthlessness testify of him, even Naboth, before the people, saying, “Naboth blessed [[or cursed]] God and [the] king”; and they take him out to the outside of the city, and stone him with stones, and he dies;
౧౩అప్పుడు ఇద్దరు నిజాయితీ లేని మనుషులు వచ్చి అతని ఎదుట కూర్చుని “నాబోతు దేవుణ్ణీ రాజునూ దూషించాడు” అని ప్రజల ఎదుట నాబోతు మీద సాక్ష్యం చెప్పారు. వాళ్ళు పట్టణం బయటికి అతన్ని తీసికెళ్లి రాళ్లతో కొట్టి చంపేశారు.
14 and they send to Jezebel, saying, “Naboth was stoned, and is dead.”
౧౪నాబోతు రాతి దెబ్బలతో చచ్చిపోయాడని వాళ్ళు యెజెబెలుకు కబురు పంపారు.
15 And it comes to pass, at Jezebel’s hearing that Naboth has been stoned, and is dead, that Jezebel says to Ahab, “Rise, possess the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, that he refused to give to you for money, for Naboth is not alive but dead.”
౧౫అది విని యెజెబెలు “నాబోతు బతికి లేడు, చచ్చిపోయాడు. కాబట్టి నీవు లేచి యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతు ఖరీదుకు నీకివ్వనన్న అతని ద్రాక్షతోటను స్వాధీనం చేసుకో” అని అహాబుతో చెప్పింది.
16 And it comes to pass, at Ahab’s hearing that Naboth is dead, that Ahab rises to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to possess it.
౧౬నాబోతు చనిపోయాడని అహాబు విని లేచి యెజ్రెయేలు వాడైన నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోటను స్వాధీన పరచుకోడానికి వెళ్ళాడు.
17 And the word of YHWH is to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
౧౭అప్పుడు యెహోవా తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయాతో ఇలా చెప్పాడు,
18 “Rise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who [is] in Samaria—behold, in the vineyard of Naboth, to where he has gone down to possess it,
౧౮“నీవు లేచి సమరయలో ఉన్న ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజైన అహాబును కలుసుకోడానికి బయలు దేరు. అతడు నాబోతు ద్రాక్షతోటలో ఉన్నాడు. అతడు దాన్ని స్వాధీనం చేసుకోడానికి వెళ్ళాడు.
19 and you have spoken to him, saying, Thus said YHWH: Have you murdered, and also possessed? And you have spoken to him, saying, Thus said YHWH: In the place where the dogs licked the blood of Naboth, the dogs lick your blood, even yours.”
౧౯నీవు అతనితో ఇలా చెప్పు, యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే దీన్ని స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవాలని నీవు నాబోతును చంపించావు గదా! యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే ఏ స్థలం లో కుక్కలు నాబోతు రక్తాన్ని నాకాయో ఆ స్థలం లోనే కుక్కలు నీ రక్తాన్ని కూడా నాకుతాయి.”
20 And Ahab says to Elijah, “Have you found me, O my enemy?” And he says, “I have found—because of your selling yourself to do evil in the eyes of YHWH;
౨౦అది విని అహాబు ఏలీయాతో “నా పగవాడా, నేను నీకు దొరికానా?” అన్నాడు. అందుకు ఏలీయా ఇలా అన్నాడు. “యెహోవా దృష్టికి కీడు చేయడానికి నిన్ను నువ్వే అమ్ముకున్నావు. కాబట్టి నీవు నాకు దొరికావు.
21 behold, I am bringing calamity on you, and have taken away your posterity, and cut off from Ahab those sitting on the wall, and restrained, and left, in Israel,
౨౧యెహోవా నీతో ఇలా చెబుతున్నాడు, నేను నీ మీదికి కీడు రప్పిస్తాను. నీ వంశం వారిని నాశనం చేస్తాను. ఇశ్రాయేలు వారిలో బానిస గానీ స్వతంత్రుడు గానీ అహాబు వైపు ఎవరూ లేకుండా పురుషులందరినీ నిర్మూలం చేస్తాను.
22 and given up your house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha son of Ahijah, for the provocation with which you have provoked [Me], and cause Israel to sin.
౨౨ఇశ్రాయేలువారు పాపం చేయడానికి నీవు కారకుడివై నాకు కోపం పుట్టించావు. కాబట్టి నెబాతు కొడుకు యరొబాము కుటుంబానికీ అహీయా కొడుకు బయెషా కుటుంబానికీ నేను చేసినట్లు నీ కుటుంబానికీ చేస్తాను.
23 And YHWH has also spoken of Jezebel, saying, The dogs eat Jezebel in the bulwark of Jezreel;
౨౩యెజెబెలు గురించి యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే యెజ్రెయేలు ప్రాకారం దగ్గర కుక్కలు యెజెబెలును పీక్కుతింటాయి.
24 the dogs eat him who dies of Ahab in a city, and [the] bird of the heavens eats him who dies in a field;
౨౪పట్టణంలో చనిపోయే అహాబు సంబంధులను కుక్కలు తింటాయి. పొలంలో చనిపోయేవారిని రాబందులు తింటాయి” అన్నాడు.
25 surely there has been none like Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the eyes of YHWH, whom his wife Jezebel has moved,
౨౫తన భార్య యెజెబెలు ప్రేరేపణతో యెహోవా దృష్టిలో కీడు చేయడానికి తన్ను తాను అమ్ముకున్న అహాబులాంటి వాడు ఎవ్వడూ లేడు.
26 and he does very abominably to go after the idols, according to all that the Amorite did whom YHWH dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel.”
౨౬ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల దగ్గరనుంచి యెహోవా వెళ్లగొట్టిన అమోరీయులు చేసినట్టు, అతడు విగ్రహాలను పెట్టుకుని చాలా నీచంగా ప్రవర్తించాడు.
27 And it comes to pass, at Ahab’s hearing these words, that he tears his garments, and puts sackcloth on his flesh, and fasts, and lies in sackcloth, and goes gently.
౨౭అహాబు ఆ మాటలు విని తన బట్టలు చించుకుని గోనెపట్ట కట్టుకుని ఉపవాసముండి, గోనెపట్ట మీద పడుకుని చాలా విచారించాడు.
28 And the word of YHWH is to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
౨౮యెహోవా తిష్బీ వాడైన ఏలీయాతో ఇలా చెప్పాడు.
29 “Have you seen that Ahab has been humbled before Me? Because that he has been humbled before Me, I do not bring in the calamity in his days; I bring in the calamity on his house in the days of his son.”
౨౯“అహాబు నా ఎదుట తనను తాను ఎంత తగ్గించుకుంటున్నాడో చూశావా? తనను నా ఎదుట తగ్గించుకుంటున్నాడు కాబట్టి, రాబోయే ఆ కీడును అతని కాలంలో పంపించను. నేనతని కొడుకు రోజుల్లో అతని వంశం మీదికి కీడు రానిస్తాను.”
