1 Kings 2
1 And the days of David to die draw near, and he charges his son Solomon, saying,
౧దావీదు చనిపోయే కాలం సమీపించినపుడు అతడు తన కొడుకు సొలొమోనుకు ఈ విధంగా ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు,
2 “I am going in the way of all the earth, and you have been strong, and become a man,
౨“మనుషులందరి లాగా నేనూ ఈ లోకం వదిలి వెళబోతున్నాను. కాబట్టి నీవు ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకుని నిబ్బరంగా ఉండు.
3 and you have kept the charge of your God YHWH, to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commands, and His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, so that you do wisely [in] all that you do, and wherever you turn,
౩నీ దేవుడు యెహోవా నీకు అప్పగించిన దాన్ని కాపాడి, ఆయన మార్గాలను అనుసరించి నడుచుకో. నీవు ఏ పని చేపట్టినా, ఎక్కడికి వెళ్ళినా అన్నిటిలో వర్దిల్లుతావు. మోషే ధర్మశాస్త్రంలో రాసి ఉన్న దేవుని శాసనాలకూ ఆయన నియమించిన ధర్మమంతటికీ ఆయన న్యాయవిధులకూ ఉపదేశాలకూ విధేయుడివై ఉండు.
4 so that YHWH establishes His word which He spoke to me, saying, If your sons observe their way to walk before Me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul; saying, A man of yours is never cut off from the throne of Israel.
౪అప్పుడు ‘నీ పిల్లలు తమ ప్రవర్తన విషయంలో జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండి నా ఎదుట తమ పూర్ణ హృదయంతో, పూర్ణ మనస్సుతో సత్యాన్ని అనుసరించి నడుచుకున్నంత కాలం నీ సంతానంలో ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజ్య సింహాసనం మీద కూర్చునే వాడు ఒకడు నీకు ఉండకుండాా పోడు’ అని యెహోవా నాకు ప్రమాణం చేసిన మాటను స్థిరపరుస్తాడు.
5 And also, you have known that which he did to me—Joab son of Zeruiah—that which he did to two heads of the hosts of Israel, to Abner son of Ner, and to Amasa son of Jether—that he slays them, and makes the blood of war in peace, and puts the blood of war in his girdle, that [is] on his loins, and in his sandals that [are] on his feet;
౫అయితే సెరూయా కొడుకు యోవాబు నాకు చేసిన కీడు నీకు తెలుసు. అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలు సేనాధిపతులైన నేరు కొడుకు అబ్నేరుకీ, యెతెరు కొడుకు అమాశాకీ చేసినదీ నీకు తెలుసు. అతడు వారిని చంపి యుద్ధ సమయంలో చేసినట్టు శాంతి సమయంలో కూడా రక్తం ఒలికించి తన నడికట్టు మీదా తన చెప్పుల మీదా రక్తం మరకలు అయ్యేలా చేసుకున్నాడు.
6 and you have done according to your wisdom, and do not let his old age go down in peace to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)

7 And you do kindness to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and they have been among those eating at your table, for so they drew near to me in my fleeing from the face of your brother Absalom.
౭నేను నీ సోదరుడు అబ్షాలోము నుండి పారిపోతున్నప్పుడు, గిలాదు వాడైన బర్జిల్లయి కుమారులు నాకు సహాయం చేశారు. నీవు వారి మీద దయ చూపి, నీ బల్ల దగ్గర భోజనం చేసే వారిలో వారికి స్థానం ఇవ్వు.
8 And behold, Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite of Bahurim, [is] with you, and he reviled me—a grievous reviling—in the day of my going to Mahanaim; and he has come down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swear to him by YHWH, saying, I do not put you to death by the sword;
౮ఇంకా బెన్యామీనీయుడు, గెరా కొడుకు, బహూరీము ఊరివాడు షిమీ నీ దగ్గర ఉన్నాడు. నేను మహనయీముకు వెళ్తుండగా అతడు నన్ను ఘోరంగా దూషించాడు. నన్ను ఎదుర్కోడానికి అతడు యొర్దాను నది దగ్గరికి దిగి వచ్చినప్పుడు, ‘యెహోవా జీవం తోడు, కత్తితో నేను నిన్ను చంపను’ అని ప్రమాణం చేశాను.
9 and now, do not acquit him, for you [are] a wise man, and you have known that which you do to him, and have brought down his old age with blood to Sheol.” (Sheol h7585)
౯అలాగని అతనిని నిర్దోషిగా ఎంచవద్దు. నీవు తెలివైన వాడివి కాబట్టి అతణ్ణి ఏమి చెయ్యాలో అది నీకు తెలుసు. వాడి నెరసిన తలను రక్తంతో సమాధిలోకి వెళ్ళేలా చెయ్యి.” (Sheol h7585)
10 And David lies down with his fathers, and is buried in the City of David,
౧౦ఆ తరవాత దావీదు చనిపోయి తన పూర్వీకులను చేరుకున్నాడు. ప్రజలు అతణ్ణి దావీదు పట్టణంలో సమాధి చేశారు.
11 and the days that David has reigned over Israel [are] forty years; he has reigned seven years in Hebron, and he has reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.
౧౧దావీదు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను పాలించిన కాలం 40 సంవత్సరాలు. అతడు హెబ్రోనులో 7 సంవత్సరాలు, యెరూషలేములో 33 సంవత్సరాలు పాలించాడు.
12 And Solomon has sat on the throne of his father David, and his kingdom is established greatly,

13 and Adonijah son of Haggith comes to Bathsheba, mother of Solomon, and she says, “Is your coming peace?” And he says, “Peace.”
౧౩అప్పుడు హగ్గీతు కొడుకు అదోనీయా సొలొమోను తల్లి అయిన బత్షెబ దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు. ఆమె “శాంతంగా వస్తున్నావా?” అని అతణ్ణి అడిగింది. అతడు “శాంతంగానే వస్తున్నాను” అని చెప్పి,
14 And he says, “I have a word for you,” and she says, “Speak.”

15 And he says, “You have known that the kingdom was mine, and all Israel had set their faces toward me for reigning, and the kingdom is turned around, and is my brother’s, for it was his from YHWH;
౧౫అతడు “రాజ్యం నిజానికి నాదే అనీ, నేను వారిని పరిపాలిస్తాననీ ఇశ్రాయేలీయులందరూ నేనే రాజునౌతానని చూశారు. అయితే అలా జరక్కుండా రాజ్యం నా సోదరునికి దక్కింది. అది యెహోవా సంకల్పం వలన అతనిది అయింది.
16 and now, I am asking one petition of you—do not turn back my face”; and she says to him, “Speak.”

17 And he says, “Please speak to Solomon the king, for he does not turn back your face, and he gives Abishag the Shunammite to me for a wife.”
౧౭ఆమె “చెప్పు” అంది. అతడు “షూనేమీయురాలైన అబీషగును నాకు భార్యగా ఇమ్మని దయచేసి నీవు సొలొమోనుతో చెప్పాలి. నీవు చెబితే అతడు కాదనడు” అన్నాడు.
18 And Bathsheba says, “Good; I speak to the king for you.”
౧౮బత్షెబ “మంచిది, నేను రాజుతో మాట్లాడుతాను” అంది.
19 And Bathsheba comes to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, and the king rises to meet her, and bows himself to her, and sits on his throne, and places a throne for the mother of the king, and she sits at his right hand.
౧౯బత్షెబ రాజైన సొలొమోను దగ్గరకి అదోనీయా తరపున మాట్లాడటానికి వెళ్ళింది. రాజు లేచి ఆమెకు ఎదురు వచ్చి నమస్కారం చేశాడు. అతడు తన సింహాసనం మీద కూర్చుని తన తల్లి కోసం ఒక ఆసనం వేయించాడు. ఆమె అతని కుడి పక్కన కూర్చుంది.
20 And she says, “I ask one small petition of you, do not turn back my face”; and the king says to her, “Ask, my mother, for I do not turn back your face.”

21 And she says, “Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to your brother Adonijah for a wife.”
౨౧అప్పుడామె “నీ అన్న అదోనీయాకి షూనేమీయురాలైన అబీషగుని పెళ్లాడనీ” అంది.
22 And King Solomon answers and says to his mother, “And why are you asking [for] Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? Also ask [for] the kingdom for him—for he [is] my elder brother—even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab son of Zeruiah.”
౨౨అందుకు సొలొమోను “షూనేమీయురాలైన అబీషగును మాత్రమే అదోనీయా కోసం ఎందుకు అడుగుతున్నావు? అతడు నా అన్న కాబట్టి అతని కోసం, యాజకుడు అబ్యాతారు కోసం, సెరూయా కొడుకు యోవాబు కోసం రాజ్యాన్నే అడగవచ్చు కదా” అని తన తల్లితో అన్నాడు.
23 And King Solomon swears by YHWH, saying, “Thus God does to me, and thus He adds—surely Adonijah has spoken this word against his [own] soul;
౨౩అప్పుడు రాజైన సొలొమోను ఇలా శపథం చేశాడు. “యెహోవా తోడు, అదోనీయా పలికిన ఈ మాట వలన అతని ప్రాణం తీయించకపోతే దేవుడు నాకు అంతకంటే ఎక్కువ కీడు చేస్తాడు గాక.
24 and now, YHWH lives, who has established me, and causes me to sit on the throne of my father David, and who has made a house for me as He spoke—surely Adonijah is put to death today.”
౨౪నన్ను స్థిరపరచి, నా తండ్రి సింహాసనం మీద నన్ను కూర్చోబెట్టి, తన వాగ్దానం ప్రకారం నాకు ఒక రాజవంశాన్ని కలగజేసిన యెహోవా జీవం తోడు, అదోనీయా ఈ రోజు మరణిస్తాడు” అన్నాడు.
25 And King Solomon sends by the hand of Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he falls on him, and he dies.
౨౫అతడు యెహోయాదా కొడుకు బెనాయాను పంపగా అతడు వెళ్ళి అదోనీయాపై దాడి చేసి అతణ్ణి చంపాడు.
26 And the king said to Abiathar the priest, “Go to Anathoth, to your fields; for you [are] a man of death, but I do not put you to death in this day, because you have carried the Ark of Lord YHWH before my father David, and because you were afflicted in all that my father was afflicted in.”
౨౬తరువాత రాజు యాజకుడైన అబ్యాతారుతో “అనాతోతులో ఉన్న నీ పొలాలకు వెళ్ళిపో. నీవు మరణానికి పాత్రుడివయ్యావు గాని, నీవు నా తండ్రి అయిన దావీదు ఎదుట యెహోవా దేవుని మందసాన్ని మోసి, నా తండ్రి పొందిన కష్టాలన్నిటిలో పాలు పొందావు కాబట్టి ఈ రోజు నిన్ను చంపను” అని చెప్పాడు.
27 And Solomon casts out Abiathar from being priest of YHWH, to fulfill the word of YHWH which He spoke concerning the house of Eli in Shiloh.
౨౭తరువాత సొలొమోను అబ్యాతారును యెహోవాకు యాజకునిగా ఉండకుండాా తొలగించాడు. ఈ విధంగా యెహోవా ఏలీ కుటుంబికులను గురించి షిలోహులో చెప్పిన మాట నెరవేరింది.
28 And the report has come to Joab—for Joab has turned aside after Adonijah, though he did not turn aside after Absalom—and Joab flees to the tent of YHWH, and lays hold on the horns of the altar.
౨౮యోవాబు అబ్షాలోమును సమర్ధించక పోయినా, అదోనీయాను సమర్ధించడాన్ని బట్టి ఈ వార్తలు అతనికి చేరగానే అతడు భయపడి పారిపోయి యెహోవా గుడారం లోకి వెళ్ళి బలిపీఠం కొమ్ములు పట్టుకున్నాడు.
29 And it is declared to King Solomon that Joab has fled to the tent of YHWH, and behold, [is] near the altar; and Solomon sends Benaiah son of Jehoiada, saying, “Go, fall on him.”
౨౯యోవాబు పారిపోయి యెహోవా గుడారంలో బలిపీఠం దగ్గర ఉన్నాడని సొలొమోనురాజుకు తెలిసింది. అతడు యెహోయాదా కొడుకు బెనాయాను పిలిచి “నీవు వెళ్లి అతని మీద పడి చంపు” అని ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు.
30 And Benaiah comes into the tent of YHWH and says to him, “Thus said the king: Come out”; and he says, “No, but I die here.” And Benaiah brings back word [to] the king, saying, “Thus spoke Joab, indeed, thus he answered me.”
౩౦బెనాయా యెహోవా గుడారానికి వచ్చి “రాజు నిన్ను బయటికి రమ్మంటున్నాడు” అని యోవాబుతో చెప్పాడు. అతడు “రాను, నేనిక్కడే చనిపోతాను” అని జవాబిచ్చాడు. బెనాయా రాజు దగ్గరకి తిరిగి వచ్చి యోవాబు మాటలు అతనితో చెప్పాడు.
31 And the king says to him, “Do as he has spoken, and fall on him, and you have buried him, and turned aside the causeless blood which Joab shed from off me, and from off the house of my father;
౩౧అందుకు రాజు ఇలా అన్నాడు. “అతడు నీతో చెప్పినట్టే చెయ్యి. అక్కడే అతణ్ణి చంపి పాతిపెట్టి, అతడు ఒలికించిన నిరపరాధుల రక్తాన్ని నా నుండీ, నా తండ్రి కుటుంబం నుండీ తొలగిపోయేలా చెయ్యి.
32 and YHWH has turned back his blood on his own head, [on him] who has fallen on two men more righteous and better than he, and slays them with the sword—and my father David did not know—Abner son of Ner, head of the host of Israel, and Amasa son of Jether, head of the host of Judah;
౩౨నేరు కొడుకు, ఇశ్రాయేలు వారి సైన్యాధిపతి అయిన అబ్నేరు, యెతెరు కొడుకు, యూదా వారి సైన్యాధిపతి అయిన అమాశా అనే తనకంటే నీతిపరులు, యోగ్యులు అయిన ఈ ఇద్దరినీ నా తండ్రి అయిన దావీదుకు తెలియకుండా యోవాబు చంపాడు కాబట్టి అతడు ఒలికించిన రక్తం యెహోవా అతని తల మీదికే రప్పిస్తాడు.
33 indeed, their blood has turned back on the head of Joab, and on the head of his seed for all time; and for David, and for his seed, and for his house, and for his throne, there is peace for all time, from YHWH.”
౩౩అంతే గాక వారి ప్రాణ దోషానికి యోవాబు, అతని సంతతివారే ఎన్నటికీ బాధ్యులు గానీ దావీదుకు, అతని సంతతికి, అతని వంశానికి, అతని సింహాసనానికి ఎన్నటెన్నటికీ యెహోవా శాంతి సమాధానాలు ఉంటాయి.”
34 And Benaiah son of Jehoiada goes up and falls on him, and puts him to death, and he is buried in his own house in the wilderness,
౩౪కాబట్టి యెహోయాదా కొడుకు బెనాయా వెళ్ళి యోవాబు మీద పడి అతణ్ణి చంపాడు. అతణ్ణి అరణ్యంలో ఉన్న తన ఇంట్లోనే పాతిపెట్టారు.
35 and the king puts Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the host in his stead, and the king has put Zadok the priest in the stead of Abiathar.
౩౫రాజు అతని స్థానంలో యెహోయాదా కొడుకు బెనాయాను సేనాధిపతిగా నియమించాడు. రాజు అబ్యాతారుకు బదులు సాదోకును యాజకుడుగా నియమించాడు.
36 And the king sends and calls for Shimei, and says to him, “Build a house for yourself in Jerusalem, and you have dwelt there, and do not go out [from] there anywhere;
౩౬తరువాత రాజు షిమీని పిలిపించి అతనితో ఇలా చెప్పాడు. “నీవు యెరూషలేములో ఇల్లు కట్టించుకుని బయటకి ఎక్కడికీ వెళ్లకుండా అందులోనే నివసించు.
37 and it has been, in the day of your going out, and you have passed over the Brook of Kidron, you certainly know that you surely die—your blood is on your head.”
౩౭నీవు ఏ రోజైతే బయటికి వచ్చి, కిద్రోను వాగు దాటుతావో ఆ రోజున నీవు కచ్చితంగా చస్తావని తెలుసుకో. నీ ప్రాణానికి నీవే బాధ్యుడివి.”
38 And Shimei says to the king, “The word [is] good; as my lord the king has spoken so your servant does”; and Shimei dwells in Jerusalem many days.
౩౮అప్పుడు షిమీ “మీరు చెప్పింది మంచిదే. నా యజమాని, రాజు అయిన మీరు చెప్పిన ప్రకారమే తమ సేవకుణ్ణి అయిన నేను చేస్తాను” అని రాజుతో చెప్పాడు. షిమీ యెరూషలేములో చాలా కాలం నివసించాడు.
39 And it comes to pass, at the end of three years, that two of the servants of Shimei flee to Achish son of Maachah, king of Gath, and they declare to Shimei, saying, “Behold, your servants [are] in Gath”;
౩౯అయితే మూడు సంవత్సరాల తరవాత షిమీ పనివారిలో ఇద్దరు పారిపోయి మయకా కుమారుడు ఆకీషు అనే గాతు రాజు దగ్గరకి చేరారు. అప్పుడు “నీ మనుషులు గాతులో ఉన్నారు” అని షిమీకి వార్త వచ్చింది.
40 and Shimei rises, and saddles his donkey, and goes to Gath, to Achish, to seek his servants, and Shimei goes and brings his servants from Gath.
౪౦షిమీ లేచి గాడిదకు గంతకట్టి తన పనివారిని వెదకడానికి గాతులోని ఆకీషు దగ్గరకి వెళ్ళి, అక్కడి నుండి తన పనివారిని తీసుకువచ్చాడు.
41 And it is declared to Solomon that Shimei has gone from Jerusalem to Gath, and returns,
౪౧షిమీ యెరూషలేమును విడిచి గాతుకు వెళ్ళి వచ్చాడని సొలొమోనుకు తెలిసింది.
42 and the king sends and calls for Shimei, and says to him, “Have I not caused you to swear by YHWH—and I testify against you, saying, In the day of your going out, and you have gone anywhere, you certainly know that you surely die; and you say to me, The word I have heard [is] good?
౪౨రాజు షిమీని పిలిపించి అతనితో “నీవు ఏ రోజున బయలుదేరి బయటికి వెళ్తావో యెహోవా తోడు, ఆ రోజు నీవు కచ్చితంగా చచ్చిపోతావు అని నేను నీకు ఖండితంగా ఆజ్ఞాపించి, నీచేత ప్రమాణం చేయించాను గదా? పైగా, ‘మీరు చెప్పిందే మంచిది’ అని నీవు కూడా ఒప్పుకున్నావు.
43 And why have you not kept the oath of YHWH, and the charge that I charged on you?”
౪౩కాబట్టి యెహోవా తోడని నీవు చేసిన ప్రమాణాన్ని, నేను నీకిచ్చిన ఆజ్ఞను నీవెందుకు పాటించలేదు?” అని అడిగాడు.
44 And the king says to Shimei, “You have known all the evil that your heart has known, which you did to my father David, and YHWH has turned back your evil on your head,
౪౪“నీవు నా తండ్రి దావీదుకు చేసిన కీడంతా నీకు బాగానే తెలుసు. నీవు చేసిన కీడు యెహోవా నీ తల మీదికే రప్పిస్తాడు.
45 and King Solomon [is] blessed, and the throne of David is established before YHWH for all time.”
౪౫అయితే రాజైన సొలొమోను ఆశీర్వాదం పొందుతాడు. దావీదు సింహాసనం యెహోవా సన్నిధిలో చిరకాలం సుస్థిరమౌతుంది” అని షిమీతో చెప్పి
46 And the king charges Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he goes out and falls on him, and he dies, and the kingdom is established in the hand of Solomon.
౪౬రాజు యెహోయాదా కొడుకు బెనాయాకు ఆజ్ఞాపించగానే అతడు షిమీ మీద పడి అతనిని చంపాడు. ఈ విధంగా రాజ్యం సొలొమోను పాలనలో స్థిరపడింది.
