1 Kings 10
1 And the queen of Sheba is hearing of the fame of Solomon concerning the Name of YHWH, and comes to try him with enigmas,
Ketika ratu negeri Syeba mendengar kabar tentang Salomo, berhubung dengan nama TUHAN, maka datanglah ia hendak mengujinya dengan teka-teki.
2 and she comes to Jerusalem, with a very great company, camels carrying spices, and very much gold, and precious stone, and she comes to Solomon, and speaks to him all that has been with her heart.
Ia datang ke Yerusalem dengan pasukan pengiring yang sangat besar, dengan unta-unta yang membawa rempah-rempah, sangat banyak emas dan batu permata yang mahal-mahal. Setelah ia sampai kepada Salomo, dikatakannyalah segala yang ada dalam hatinya kepadanya.
3 And Solomon declares to her all her matters—there has not been a thing hid from the king that he has not declared to her.
Dan Salomo menjawab segala pertanyaan ratu itu; bagi raja tidak ada yang tersembunyi, yang tidak dapat dijawabnya untuk ratu itu.
4 And the queen of Sheba sees all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house that he built,
Ketika ratu negeri Syeba melihat segala hikmat Salomo dan rumah yang telah didirikannya,
5 and the food of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the standing of his ministers, and their clothing, and his butlers, and his burnt-offering that he causes to ascend in the house of YHWH, and there has not been anymore spirit in her.
makanan di mejanya, cara duduk pegawai-pegawainya, cara pelayan-pelayannya melayani dan berpakaian, minumannya dan korban bakaran yang biasa dipersembahkannya di rumah TUHAN, maka tercenganglah ratu itu.
6 And she says to the king, “The word that I heard in my land has been true concerning your matters and your wisdom;
Dan ia berkata kepada raja: "Benar juga kabar yang kudengar di negeriku tentang engkau dan tentang hikmatmu,
7 and I gave no credence to the words until I have come, and my eyes see, and behold, not [even] half was declared to me; you have added wisdom and goodness to the report that I heard.
tetapi aku tidak percaya perkataan-perkataan itu sampai aku datang dan melihatnya dengan mataku sendiri; sungguh setengahnyapun belum diberitahukan kepadaku; dalam hal hikmat dan kemakmuran, engkau melebihi kabar yang kudengar.
8 O the blessedness of your men, O the blessedness of your servants—these—who are standing before you continually, who are hearing your wisdom!
Berbahagialah para isterimu, berbahagialah para pegawaimu ini yang selalu melayani engkau dan menyaksikan hikmatmu!
9 Your God YHWH is blessed, who delighted in you, to put you on the throne of Israel; in YHWH’s loving Israel for all time He sets you for king, to do judgment and righteousness.”
Terpujilah TUHAN, Allahmu, yang telah berkenan kepadamu sedemikian, hingga Ia mendudukkan engkau di atas takhta kerajaan Israel! Karena TUHAN mengasihi orang Israel untuk selama-lamanya, maka Ia telah mengangkat engkau menjadi raja untuk melakukan keadilan dan kebenaran."
10 And she gives to the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stone; there never again came in abundance like that spice that the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
Lalu diberikannyalah kepada raja seratus dua puluh talenta emas, dan sangat banyak rempah-rempah dan batu permata yang mahal-mahal; tidak pernah datang lagi begitu banyak rempah-rempah seperti yang diberikan ratu negeri Syeba kepada raja Salomo itu.
11 And also, the navy of Hiram that bore gold from Ophir, brought in very much almug-trees and precious stone from Ophir;
Lagipula kapal-kapal Hiram, yang mengangkut emas dari Ofir, membawa dari Ofir sangat banyak kayu cendana dan batu permata yang mahal-mahal.
12 and the king makes the almug-trees a support for the house of YHWH, and for the house of the king, and harps and psalteries for singers; there have not come such almug-trees, nor have there been seen [such] to this day.
Raja mengerjakan kayu cendana itu menjadi langkan untuk rumah TUHAN dan untuk istana raja, dan juga menjadi kecapi dan gambus untuk para penyanyi; kayu cendana seperti itu tidak datang dan tidak kelihatan lagi sampai hari ini.
13 And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire that she asked, apart from that which he gave to her as a memorial of King Solomon, and she turns and goes to her land, she and her servants.
Raja Salomo memberikan kepada ratu negeri Syeba segala yang dikehendakinya dan yang dimintanya, selain apa yang telah diberikannya kepadanya sebagaimana layak bagi raja Salomo. Lalu ratu itu berangkat pulang ke negerinya bersama-sama dengan pegawai-pegawainya.
14 And the weight of the gold that has come to Solomon in one year is six hundred sixty-six talents of gold,
Adapun emas, yang dibawa kepada Salomo dalam satu tahun ialah seberat enam ratus enam puluh enam talenta,
15 apart from [that of] the tourists, and of the traffic of the merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the land.
belum terhitung yang didapat dari saudagar-saudagar dan dari pedagang-pedagang dan dari semua raja Arab dan bupati-bupati di negeri itu.
16 And King Solomon makes two hundred bucklers of alloyed gold—six hundred [shekels] of gold go up on the one buckler;
Raja Salomo membuat dua ratus perisai besar dari emas tempaan, enam ratus syikal emas dipakainya untuk setiap perisai besar;
17 and three hundred shields of alloyed gold—three pounds of gold go up on the one shield; and the king puts them [in] the House of the Forest of Lebanon.
ia membuat juga tiga ratus perisai kecil dari emas tempaan, tiga mina emas dipakainya untuk setiap perisai kecil; lalu raja menaruh semuanya itu di dalam gedung "Hutan Libanon".
18 And the king makes a great throne of ivory, and overlays it with refined gold;
Juga raja membuat takhta besar dari gading, yang disalutnya dengan emas tua.
19 the throne has six steps, and a round top [is] to the throne behind it, and hands [are] on this [side] and on that, to the place of the sitting, and two lions are standing near the hands,
Takhta itu enam tingkatnya; pada takhta itu ada di sebelah belakang sebuah kepala bundar, dan pada kedua sisi tempat duduk ada kelek-kelek. Di samping kelek-kelek itu berdiri dua singa,
20 and twelve lions are standing there on the six steps, on this [side] and on that; it has not been made so for any kingdom.
sedang dua belas singa berdiri di atas keenam tingkat itu sebelah-menyebelah; belum pernah diperbuat yang demikian bagi sesuatu kerajaan.
21 And all the drinking vessels of King Solomon [are] of gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon [are] of refined gold—there are none of silver; it was not reckoned in the days of Solomon for anything,
Segala perkakas minuman raja Salomo dari emas dan segala barang di gedung "Hutan Libanon" itu dari emas murni; tidak ada barang perak, sebab orang menganggap perak tidak berharga pada zaman Salomo.
22 for the king has a navy of Tarshish at sea with a navy of Hiram; once in three years the navy of Tarshish comes, carrying gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks [[or monkeys]].
Sebab di laut raja mempunyai kapal-kapal Tarsis bergabung dengan kapal-kapal Hiram; dan sekali tiga tahun kapal-kapal Tarsis itu datang membawa emas dan perak serta gading; juga kera dan burung merak.
23 And King Solomon is greater than any of the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom,
Raja Salomo melebihi semua raja di bumi dalam hal kekayaan dan hikmat.
24 and all the earth is seeking the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom that God has put into his heart,
Seluruh bumi berikhtiar menghadap Salomo untuk menyaksikan hikmat yang telah ditaruh Allah di dalam hatinya.
25 and they are each bringing his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, the matter of a year in a year.
Mereka datang masing-masing membawa persembahannya, yakni barang-barang perak dan barang-barang emas, pakaian, senjata, rempah-rempah, kuda dan bagal, dan begitulah tahun demi tahun.
26 And Solomon gathers chariots, and horsemen, and he has one thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he places them in the cities of the chariot, and with the king in Jerusalem.
Salomo mengumpulkan juga kereta dan orang berkuda, sehingga ia mempunyai seribu empat ratus kereta dan dua belas ribu orang berkuda, yang semuanya ditempatkan dalam kota-kota kereta dan dekat raja di Yerusalem.
27 And the king makes the silver in Jerusalem as stones, and he has made the cedars as the sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance.
Raja membuat banyaknya perak di Yerusalem sama seperti batu, dan banyaknya pohon kayu aras sama seperti pohon ara yang tumbuh di Daerah Bukit.
28 And the outgoing of the horses that King Solomon has [is] from Egypt, and from Keveh; merchants of the king take from Keveh at a price;
Kuda untuk Salomo didatangkan dari Misraim dan dari Kewe; saudagar-saudagar raja membelinya dari Kewe dengan harga pasar.
29 and a chariot comes up and comes out of Egypt for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty, and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Aram; they bring out by their hand.
Sebuah kereta yang didatangkan dari Misraim berharga sampai enam ratus syikal perak, dan seekor kuda sampai seratus lima puluh syikal; dan begitu juga melalui mereka dikeluarkan semuanya itu kepada semua raja orang Het dan kepada raja-raja Aram.
