1 John 2
1 My little children, these things I write to you that you may not sin: and if anyone may sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, [the] Righteous One,
Watoto wangu wapendwa, nawaandikia mambo haya kwenu ili msitende dhambi. Lakini kama mmoja wenu akitenda dhambi, tunaye wakili aliye pamoja na Baba, Yesu Kristo- ambaye ni mwenye haki.
2 and He is [the] propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for the whole world,
Yeye ni mpatanishi kwa dhambi zetu, na si kwa dhambi zetu pekee, lakini pia kwa ulimwengu mzima.
3 and in this we know that we have known Him, if we may keep His commands;
Kwa hili twajua kwamba twamjua yeye, kama tukizitunza amri zake.
4 he who is saying, “I have known Him,” and is not keeping His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
Yeye asemaye, “Namjua Mungu,” lakini hazishiki amri zake, ni mwongo, na kweli haimo ndani yake.
5 and whoever may keep His word, truly the love of God has been perfected in him; in this we know that we are in Him.
Lakini yeyote ashikaye neno lake, kweli katika mtu yule upendo wa Mungu umekamilishwa. Katika hili twajua kwamba tuko ndani yake.
6 He who is saying he remains in Him, himself ought to also walk according as He walked.
Yeye asemaye anaishi ndani ya Mungu anapaswa mwenyewe pia kuenenda kama vile Yesu Kristo alivyoenenda.
7 Beloved, I do not write a new command to you, but an old command, that you had from the beginning—the old command is the word that you heard from the beginning;
Wapenzi, siwaandikii ninyi amri mpya, bali amri ya zamani ambayo mmekwisha kuwa nayo tangu mwanzo. Amri ya zamani ni neno ambalo mlilolisikia.
8 again, a new command I write to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light now shines;
Hata hivyo ninawaandikia ninyi amri mpya, ambayo ni kweli katika Kristo na kwenu, kwa sababu giza linapita, na nuru ya kweli iko tayari inaangaza
9 he who is saying he is in the light, and is hating his brother, he is in the darkness until now;
Yeye asemeye yuko kwenye nuru na amchukia ndugu yake yuko katika giza hata sasa.
10 he who is loving his brother, he remains in the light, and there is not a stumbling-block in him;
Yeye ampendaye ndugu yake anaishi katika nuru na hakuna jambo lolote liwezalo kumkwaza.
11 but he who is hating his brother, he is in the darkness, and he walks in the darkness, and he has not known where he goes, because the darkness blinded his eyes.
Lakini yeye amchukiaye ndugu yake yuko gizani na anatembea gizani; Yeye hajui wapi aendako, kwa sababu giza limeyapofusha macho yake.
12 I write to you, little children, because sins have been forgiven you through His Name;
Nawaandikia ninyi, watoto wapendwa, kwa sababu mmesamehewa dhambi zenu kwa ajili ya jina lake.
13 I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from the beginning; I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil [one]; I write to you, little youths, because you have known the Father;
Nawaandikia ninyi, akina baba, kwa sababu mnamjua yeye aliye tangu mwanzo. Nawaandikia ninyi, vijana, kwa sababu mmemshinda yule mwovu. Nimewaandikia ninyi, watoto wadogo, kwa sababu mnamjua Baba.
14 I wrote to you, fathers, because you have known Him who [is] from the beginning; I wrote to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil [one].
Nimewaandikia ninyi, akina baba, kwa sababu mnamjua yeye aliye tangu mwanzo. Nimewaandikia ninyi, vijana, kwa sababu mko imara, na neno la Mungu linakaa ndani yenu, na mmemshinda yule mwovu.
15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world; if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him,
Msiipende dunia wala mambo ambayo yaliyo katika dunia. Iwapo yule ataipenda dunia, upendo wa kumpenda Baba haumo ndani yake.
16 because all that [is] in the world—the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of [one’s] life—is not of the Father, but of the world,
Kwani kila kitu kilichomo katika dunia- tamaa ya mwili, tamaa ya macho, na kiburi cha uzima- havitokani na Baba lakini vinatokana na dunia.
17 and the world is passing away, and the desire of it, but he who is doing the will of God, he remains—throughout the age. (aiōn g165)
Dunia na tamaa zake zinapita. Bali yeye afanyaye mapenzi ya Mungu huyo adumu milele. (aiōn g165)
18 Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as you heard that the antichrist comes, even now antichrists have become many—whereby we know that it is [the] last hour;
Watoto wadogo, ni wakati wa mwisho. Kama ambavyo mmesikia kwamba mpinga kristo anakuja, hata sasa wapinga kristo wamekuja, kwa hali hii tunajua kwamba ni wakati wa mwisho.
19 they went forth out of us, but they were not of us, for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but [they went out] so that they might be revealed that they are not all of us.
Walikwenda zao kutoka kwetu, kwani hawakuwa wa kwetu. Kama vile wangekuwa wa kwetu wangeendelea kuwa pamoja nasi. Lakini wakati walipo kwenda zao, hicho kilionyesha hawakuwa wa kwetu.
20 And you have an anointing from the Holy One, and have known all things;
Lakini mumetiwa mafuta na yule Mtakatifu, nanyi nyote mnaijua kweli.
21 I did not write to you because you have not known the truth, but because you have known it, and because no lie is of the truth.
Sikuwaandikia ninyi kwa sababu hamuijui kweli, bali kwa sababu mnaijua na kwa sababu hakuna uongo wa ile kweli
22 Who is the liar, except he who is denying that Jesus is the Christ? This one is the antichrist who is denying the Father and the Son;
Nani ni mwongo bali ni yeye anayepinga kwamba Yesu ni Kristo? Huyu mtu ni mpinga kristo, pale anapo mpinga Baba na Mwana.
23 everyone who is denying the Son, neither has the Father; he who is confessing the Son has the Father also.
Hakuna anaye mpinga Mwana akawa na Baba. Yeyote anaye mkiri Mwana anaye Baba pia.
24 You, then, that which you heard from the beginning, let it remain in you; if that which you heard from the beginning may remain in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father,
Kama kwa ajili yenu, kile mlichosikia toka mwanzo acha kiendelee kuwa ndani yenu. Kama kile mlichosikia toka mwanzo kitakaa ndani yenu, pia, mtakaa ndani ya Mwana na Baba.
Na hii ni ahadi aliyotupatia sisi: uzima wa milele. (aiōnios g166)
26 These things I wrote to you concerning those leading you astray;
Nimewaandikia haya ninyi kuhusu wale ambao wangewaongoza ninyi katika upotevu.
27 and you, the anointing that you received from Him, it remains in you, and you have no need that anyone may teach you, but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all, and is true, and is not a lie, and even as was taught you, you will remain in Him.
Na kwa ajili yenu, yale mafuta mliyoyapokea kutoka kwake yanakaa ndani yenu, na hamtahitaji mtu yeyote kuwafundisha. bali kama mafuta yake yanawafundisha kuhusu mambo yote na ni kweli na siyo uongo, na hata kama yameshawafundisha, kaeni ndani yake.
28 And now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He may have appeared, we may have boldness, and may not be ashamed before Him, at His coming;
Na sasa, watoto wapendwa, kaeni ndani yake, ili wakati atakapotokea, tuweze kuwa na ujasiri na siyo kujisikia aibu mbele yake katika kuja kwake.
29 if you know that He is righteous, know that everyone doing righteousness, has been begotten of Him.
Kama mnajua kuwa yeye ni mwenye haki, mnajua kwamba kila mmoja atendaye haki amezaliwa na yeye.
