1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life—
Lo que era desde el principio, lo que hemos oído, lo que hemos visto con nuestros ojos, lo que hemos contemplado, y lo que han palpado nuestras manos, tocante al Verbo de vida,
2 and the Life appeared, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the continuous Life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us— (aiōnios g166)
pues la vida se ha manifestado y la hemos visto, y ( de ella ) damos testimonio, y os anunciamos la vida eterna, la misma que estaba con el Padre, y se dejó ver de nosotros, (aiōnios g166)
3 we declare to you that which we have seen and heard, that you also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ;
esto que hemos visto y oído es lo que os anunciamos también a vosotros, para que también vosotros tengáis comunión con nosotros y nuestra comunión sea con el Padre y con el Hijo suyo Jesucristo.
4 and these things we write to you, that your joy may be full.
Os escribimos esto para que vuestro gozo sea cumplido.
5 And this is the message that we have heard from Him, and announce to you, that God is light, and darkness is not in Him at all;
Este es el mensaje que de Él hemos oído y que os anunciamos: Dios es luz y en Él no hay tiniebla alguna.
6 if we may say, “We have fellowship with Him,” and may walk in the darkness—we lie, and do not [speak] the truth;
Si decimos que tenemos comunión con Él y andamos en tinieblas, mentimos, y no obramos la verdad.
7 and if we may walk in the light, as He is in the light—we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from every sin;
Pero si caminamos a la luz, como Él está en la luz, tenemos comunión unos con otros, y la sangre de su Hijo Jesús nos limpia de todo pecado.
8 if we may say, “We have no sin,” we lead ourselves astray, and the truth is not in us;
Si decimos que no tenemos pecado, nos engañamos a nosotros mismos, y la verdad no está en nosotros.
9 if we may confess our sins, He is steadfast and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;
Si confesamos nuestros pecados, Él es fiel y justo para perdonarnos los pecados, y limpiarnos de toda iniquidad.
10 if we may say, “We have not sinned,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
Si decimos que no hemos pecado, le declaramos a Él mentiroso, y su palabra no está en nosotros.
