1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life—
O que era desde o principio, o que ouvimos, o que vimos com os nossos olhos, o que temos contemplado, e as nossas mãos tocaram da Palavra da vida
2 and the Life appeared, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the continuous Life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us— (aiōnios g166)
(Porque a vida já foi manifesta, e nós a vimos, e testificámos, e vos annunciámos a vida eterna, que estava com o Pae, e nos foi manifestada); (aiōnios g166)
3 we declare to you that which we have seen and heard, that you also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ;
O que vimos e ouvimos, isso vos annunciamos, para que tambem tenhaes communhão comnosco; e a nossa communhão está com o Pae, e com seu Filho Jesus Christo.
4 and these things we write to you, that your joy may be full.
Estas coisas vos escrevemos, para que o vosso gozo se cumpra.
5 And this is the message that we have heard from Him, and announce to you, that God is light, and darkness is not in Him at all;
E esta é a annunciação que d'elle ouvimos, e vos annunciamos: que Deus é luz, e não ha n'elle trevas nenhumas.
6 if we may say, “We have fellowship with Him,” and may walk in the darkness—we lie, and do not [speak] the truth;
Se dissermos que temos communhão com elle, e andarmos em trevas, mentimos, e não praticamos a verdade.
7 and if we may walk in the light, as He is in the light—we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from every sin;
Porém, se andarmos na luz, como elle na luz está, temos communhão uns com os outros, e o sangue de Jesus Christo, seu Filho, nos purifica de todo o peccado.
8 if we may say, “We have no sin,” we lead ourselves astray, and the truth is not in us;
Se dissermos que não temos peccado, enganamo-nos a nós mesmos, e não ha verdade em nos.
9 if we may confess our sins, He is steadfast and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;
Se confessarmos os nossos peccados, elle é fiel e justo, para nos perdoar os peccados, e purificar-nos de toda a injustiça.
10 if we may say, “We have not sinned,” we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
Se dissermos que não peccamos, fazemol-o mentiroso, e a sua palavra não está em nós.
