1 Corinthians 2
1 And I, having come to you, brothers, came—not in superiority of discourse or wisdom—declaring to you the testimony of God,
Én is, amikor hozzátok mentem atyámfiai, nem úgy mentem, hogy nagy ékesszólással vagy bölcsességgel hirdessem nektek az Isten bizonyságtételét,
2 for I decided not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified;
mert elhatároztam, hogy egyébről ne tudjak köztetek, csak Jézus Krisztusról, mégpedig a megfeszítettről.
3 and I, in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling, was with you;
És én erőtlenség, félelem és nagy rettegés között jelentem meg közöttetek.
4 and my word and my preaching was not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power—
És az én beszédem és prédikálásom nem emberi bölcsesség megtévesztő szavaiból állt, hanem a Léleknek és erőnek megmutatásában,
5 that your faith may not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
hogy a ti hitetek ne emberek bölcsességén, hanem Isten erején nyugodjék.
6 And wisdom we speak among the perfect, and wisdom not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age—of those becoming useless, (aiōn g165)
A (hitben) nagykorúak között mi is bölcsességet hirdetünk, de nem e világnak, sem e világ letűnt fejedelmeinek bölcsességét, (aiōn g165)
7 but we speak the hidden wisdom of God in a secret, that God foreordained before the ages to our glory, (aiōn g165)
hanem Istennek titkon való bölcsességét szóljuk, azt az elrejtettet, amelyet Isten öröktől fogva elrendelt a mi dicsőségünkre, (aiōn g165)
8 which no one of the rulers of this age knew, for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory; (aiōn g165)
amelyet e világ fejedelmei közül senki sem ismert fel, mert ha felismerték volna, nem feszítették volna meg a dicsőség Urát. (aiōn g165)
9 but according as it has been written: “What eye did not see, and ear did not hear, and on the heart of man did not come up, what God prepared for those loving Him”;
Hanem, amint meg van írva: „Amit szem nem látott, fül nem hallott és embernek szíve meg sem gondolt, azt készítette Isten az őt szeretőknek“.
10 but God revealed [them] to us through His Spirit, for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God,
Nekünk azonban Isten kinyilatkoztatta az ő Lelke által, mert a Lélek mindent megvizsgál, még Isten mélységeit is.
11 for who of men has known the things of the man, except the spirit of the man that [is] in him? So also the things of God no one has known, except the Spirit of God.
Mert ki ismeri az ember gondolatait? Csak az embernek lelke, amely benne lakik. Azonképpen az Isten dolgait sem ismeri senki, csak az Isten Lelke.
12 And we did not receive the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that [is] of God, that we may know the things conferred by God on us,
Mi pedig nem e világnak lelkét kaptuk, hanem az Istenből való Lelket, hogy megismerjük mindazt, amit Isten ajándékozott nekünk.
13 which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things,
Ezeket prédikáljuk is, de nem emberi bölcsességből tanult szavakkal, hanem úgy, ahogy a Lélek tanít, lelkieknek lelkieket adva.
14 and the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he is not able to know [them], because they are discerned spiritually;
A nem lelki ember pedig nem foghatja fel Isten Lelkének dolgait, mert bolondságnak tűnik neki, nem is érti, mert ezeket csak a Lélek szerint lehet elbírálni.
15 and he who is spiritual, indeed discerns all things, and he himself is discerned by no one;
A lelki ember azonban mindent elbírál, de őt nem bírálja felül senki.
16 for who knew the mind of the LORD that he will instruct Him? And we have the mind of Christ.
Mert ugyan, „Ki ismerte meg az Úr gondolatait, hogy őt kioktathatná?“Mi pedig Krisztus gondolataiban részesülünk.
