1 Corinthians 11
1 Become followers of me, as I also [am] of Christ.
ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ മാതൃക പിൻതുടരുന്നതുപോലെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ മാതൃകയും പിൻതുടരുക.
2 And I praise you, brothers, that in all things you remember me, and according as I delivered to you, you keep the deliverances,
നിങ്ങൾ എല്ലാ കാര്യങ്ങളിലും എന്നെ ഓർക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുതന്ന ഉപദേശങ്ങൾ കർശനമായി പാലിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അനുമോദിക്കുന്നു.
3 and I wish you to know that the Christ is the head of every man, and the head of a woman is the husband, and the head of Christ is God.
പുരുഷന്റെ ശിരസ്സ് ക്രിസ്തു; സ്ത്രീയുടെ ശിരസ്സ് പുരുഷൻ; ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ ശിരസ്സ് ദൈവം. ഇതു നിങ്ങൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കണമെന്ന് ഞാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having the head covered, dishonors his head,
ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പ്രാർഥിക്കുകയോ പ്രവചിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്ന പുരുഷൻ തന്റെ ശിരസ്സിനെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു.
5 and every woman praying or prophesying with the head uncovered, dishonors her own head, for it is one and the same thing with her being shaven,
ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാതെ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ പ്രാർഥിക്കുകയോ പ്രവചിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ അവൾ തന്റെ ശിരസ്സിനെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നു; അതു മുണ്ഡനം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനു തുല്യമാണ്.
6 for if a woman is not covered—then let her be shorn, and if [it is] a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven—let her be covered;
ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാൻ വിസമ്മതിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീ മുടി മുറിച്ചുകളയട്ടെ. മുടി മുറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതോ തലമുണ്ഡനം ചെയ്യുന്നതോ തനിക്കു ലജ്ജാകരമെന്ന് ഒരു സ്ത്രീക്കു തോന്നുന്നെങ്കിൽ അവൾ നിർബന്ധമായും ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കണം.
7 for a man, indeed, ought not to cover the head, being the image and glory of God, and a woman is the glory of a man,
പുരുഷൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിരൂപവും തേജസ്സും ആകയാൽ ശിരസ്സു മറയ്ക്കേണ്ടതില്ല; എന്നാൽ സ്ത്രീയോ പുരുഷന്റെ തേജസ്സാണ്.
8 for a man is not of a woman, but a woman [is] of a man,
കാരണം പുരുഷൻ സ്ത്രീയിൽനിന്നല്ല, സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനിൽനിന്നാണ് ഉണ്ടായത്;
9 for also was a man not created because of the woman, but a woman because of the man;
പുരുഷൻ സ്ത്രീക്കുവേണ്ടിയല്ല, സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനുവേണ്ടിയാണു സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
10 because of this the woman ought to have [a token of] authority on the head, because of the messengers;
ഈ കാരണത്താലും ദൂതന്മാർനിമിത്തവും സ്ത്രീയുടെ ശിരസ്സിൽ ഒരു അധികാരചിഹ്നം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.
11 but neither [is] a man apart from a woman, nor a woman apart from a man, in the LORD,
എങ്കിലും കർത്താവിൽ, പുരുഷനെക്കൂടാതെ സ്ത്രീയില്ല, സ്ത്രീയെക്കൂടാതെ പുരുഷനുമില്ല.
12 for as the woman [is] of the man, so also the man [is] through the woman, and all the things [are] of God.
സ്ത്രീ പുരുഷനിൽനിന്ന് ഉളവായതുപോലെ പുരുഷൻ സ്ത്രീയിൽനിന്നു ജനിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ എല്ലാറ്റിന്റെയും ഉത്ഭവസ്ഥാനം ദൈവംതന്നെ.
13 Judge in your own selves: is it seemly for a woman to pray to God uncovered?
നിങ്ങൾതന്നെ ചിന്തിക്കുക: സ്ത്രീ ശിരോവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാതെ ദൈവത്തോടു പ്രാർഥിക്കുന്നതു ഉചിതമോ?
14 Does not even nature itself teach you, that if a man indeed has long hair, it is a dishonor to him?
നീണ്ടമുടി ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുന്നതു പുരുഷന് അപമാനമാണെന്നും സ്ത്രീക്ക് അത് അഭിമാനകരമെന്നും പ്രകൃതിതന്നെ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നില്ലേ? നീണ്ടമുടി സ്ത്രീക്കു മൂടുപടംപോലെ നൽകപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 And a woman, if she has long hair, it is a glory to her, because the hair has been given to her instead of a covering;
16 and if anyone thinks to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the assemblies of God.
ഇതിനെപ്പറ്റി ആരെങ്കിലും തർക്കിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ ഇതിൽനിന്ന് വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ഒരു കീഴ്വഴക്കം ഞങ്ങൾക്കില്ല, ദൈവസഭകൾക്കും ഇല്ലായെന്നുമാത്രമേ എനിക്കു പറയാനുള്ളൂ.
17 And declaring this, I give no praise, because you do not come together for the better, but for the worse;
നിങ്ങളെ പ്രശംസിച്ചുകൊണ്ടല്ല ഞാൻ ഇനിയുള്ള നിർദേശങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്നത്. കാരണം, നിങ്ങളുടെ യോഗങ്ങൾ ഗുണത്തെക്കാൾ അധികം ദോഷം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18 for first, indeed, coming together in an assembly, I hear of divisions being among you, and I partly believe [it],
ഒന്നാമത്, നിങ്ങളുടെ സഭായോഗങ്ങളിൽ ഭിന്നതകൾ ഉള്ളതായി ഞാൻ കേൾക്കുന്നു; ഒരു പരിധിവരെ ഞാനത് വിശ്വസിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.
19 for it is also necessary for sects to be among you, that those approved may become visible among you;
നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ദൈവത്താൽ അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ ആരെന്നു വ്യക്തമാകേണ്ടതിന് ഭിന്നതകൾ ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതാണ്.
20 you, then, coming together at the same place—it is not to eat the LORD’s Dinner;
നിങ്ങൾ സമ്മേളിക്കുമ്പോൾ കർത്താവിന്റെ അത്താഴത്തിലല്ല നിങ്ങൾ പങ്കുകാരാകുന്നത്;
21 for each takes his own dinner before in the eating, and one is hungry, and another is drunk;
കാരണം ഓരോരുത്തരും മറ്റാർക്കുംവേണ്ടി കാത്തുനിൽക്കാതെ ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുന്നു. ഒരാൾ വിശന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മറ്റൊരാൾ കുടിച്ചു മദിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
22 why, do you not have houses to eat and to drink in? Or do you despise the Assembly of God, and shame those not having? What may I say to you? Will I praise you in this? I do not praise!
തിന്നാനും കുടിക്കാനും നിങ്ങൾക്കു വീടുകൾ ഇല്ലേ? നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവസഭയോട് അനാദരവ് കാട്ടുകയും ദരിദ്രരെ നിന്ദിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നോ? എന്താണു നിങ്ങളോടു ഞാൻ പറയേണ്ടത്? ഇതിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ പുകഴ്ത്തണോ? സാധ്യമല്ല.
23 For I received from the LORD that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was delivered up, took bread,
ഇതാണ് ഞാൻ കർത്താവിൽനിന്ന് പ്രാപിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുതന്നത്: കർത്താവായ യേശു ഒറ്റിക്കൊടുക്കപ്പെട്ട രാത്രിയിൽ, അവിടന്ന് അപ്പം എടുത്ത്
24 and having given thanks, He broke, and said, “Take, eat, this is My body that is being broken for you; do this—to the remembrance of Me.”
സ്തോത്രംചെയ്ത്, നുറുക്കി “ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടിയുള്ള എന്റെ ശരീരം; എന്റെ ഓർമയ്ക്കായി ഇതു ചെയ്യുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 In like manner also the cup after the supping, saying, “This cup is the New Covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you may drink [it]—to the remembrance of Me”;
അതുപോലെതന്നെ, അവിടന്ന് അത്താഴത്തിനുശേഷം പാനപാത്രം എടുത്ത്, “ഈ പാനപാത്രം എന്റെ രക്തത്തിലുള്ള ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ ഉടമ്പടി, ഇതു പാനംചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ഓർമയ്ക്കായി ഇതു ചെയ്യുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
26 for as often as you may eat this bread, and may drink this cup, you show forth the death of the LORD—until He may come;
നിങ്ങൾ ഈ അപ്പം ഭക്ഷിക്കുയും ഈ പാനപാത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് കുടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കർത്താവ് വരുന്നതുവരെയും അവിടത്തെ മരണത്തെ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നു.
27 so that whoever may eat this bread or may drink the cup of the LORD unworthily, he will be guilty of the body and blood of the LORD:
അതുകൊണ്ട്, അയോഗ്യമായി അപ്പം ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയോ കർത്താവിന്റെ പാനപാത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് കുടിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവർ കർത്താവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിനും രക്തത്തിനും വിരുദ്ധമായി കുറ്റംചെയ്യുന്നു.
28 and let a man be proving himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and let him drink of the cup;
ഓരോരുത്തരും തന്നെത്താൻ പരിശോധിച്ചിട്ടുവേണം അപ്പം ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയും പാനപാത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് കുടിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്.
29 for he who is eating and drinking unworthily, he eats and drinks judgment to himself—not discerning the body of the LORD.
ആരെങ്കിലും കർത്താവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തെ വിവേചിക്കാതെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയോ പാനംചെയ്യുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ അയാൾ സ്വന്തം ശിക്ഷാവിധിതന്നെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയും പാനംചെയ്യുകയുമാണ് ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
30 Because of this many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep;
ഇക്കാരണത്താലാണ് നിങ്ങളിൽ പലരും ദുർബലരും രോഗികളും ആയിരിക്കുന്നത്. ചിലർ മരണമടയുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
31 for if we were discerning ourselves, we would not be being judged,
നാം നമ്മെത്തന്നെ വിധിക്കുന്നെങ്കിൽ നാം വിധിക്കപ്പെടുകയില്ല.
32 and being judged by the LORD, we are disciplined, that we may not be condemned with the world;
നാം ലോകത്തോടൊപ്പം ന്യായവിധിയിൽ അകപ്പെടാതിരിക്കാനായി ഒരു പിതാവ് മക്കളെ എന്നപോലെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതാണ് കർത്താവ് നമുക്ക് ഇപ്പോൾ നൽകുന്ന ന്യായവിധി.
33 so then, my brothers, coming together to eat, wait for one another;
അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങളേ, നിങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കാനായി ഒരുമിച്ചുകൂടുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാവരും വന്നുചേരാനായി കാത്തിരിക്കുക.
34 and if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, that you may not come together to judgment; and the rest, whenever I may come, I will arrange.
നിങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ചുചേരുമ്പോൾ ശിക്ഷാവിധി വരാതിരിക്കാനായി നിങ്ങളിൽ വിശപ്പുള്ളവർ വീട്ടിൽവെച്ചു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചുകൊള്ളണം. ശേഷം കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ വരുമ്പോൾ ക്രമീകരിച്ചുകൊള്ളാം.
