< 1 Corinthians 10 >

1 And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,
Nahi dut bada daquiçuen anayeác, ecen gure Aitác oro hodey azpian içan diradela, eta guciac itsassoaz iragan içan diradela:
2 and all were immersed into Moses in the cloud, and in the sea;
Eta guciac Moysestan batheyatu içan diradela hodeyean eta itsassoan.
3 and all ate the same spiritual food,
Eta guciéc vianda spiritual ber batetaric ian dutela.
4 and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking of a spiritual rock following them, and the rock was the Christ;
Eta guciéc edari spiritual-ber batetaric edan dutela: ecen edaten çutén iarreiquiten çayen Harri spiritualetic: eta Harria cen Christ.
5 but in the most of them God was not well pleased, for they were strewn in the wilderness,
Baina hetaric anhitzen gainean eztu placer hartu vcan Iaincoac: ecen deseguin içan dirade desertuan.
6 and those things became types of us, for our not passionately desiring evil things, as also these desired.
Eta gauça hauc gure exemplutan içan dirade, guthicia eztitzagunçat gauça gaichtoac, nola hec guthiciatu baitituzté.
7 Neither become idolaters, as certain of them, as it has been written: “The people sat down to eat and to drink, and stood up to play”;
Eta etzareten idolatre, hetaric batzu leguez, scribatua den beçala, Iarri içan da populua iatera eta edatera, eta iaiqui içan dirade dostetara.
8 neither may we commit whoredom, as certain of them committed whoredom, and there fell in one day twenty-three thousand;
Eta ezteçagun paillarda, hetaric batzuc paillardatu vkan dutén beçala, eta hil içan baitirade egun batez hoguey eta hirur milla.
9 neither may we tempt the Christ, as also certain of them tempted, and perished by the serpents;
Eta ezteçagun tenta Christ, hetaric batzuc tentatu vkan dutén beçala, eta suguéz deseguin içan baitirade.
10 neither murmur, as also some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
Eta ezteçaçuen murmura, hetaric batzuc murmuratu vkan dutén beçala, eta deseguin içan baitirade deseguileaz.
11 And all these things happened to those persons as types, and they were written for our admonition, to whom the end of the ages came, (aiōn g165)
Eta gauça hauc gucioc exemplutan heltzen çaizten hæyr: eta scribatu içan dirade gure admonitionetan, ceinetara demborén finac heldu içan baitirade. (aiōn g165)
12 so that he who is thinking to stand—let him observe, lest he fall.
Hunegatic bada çutic dagoela vste duenac, beguira biu error eztadin.
13 No temptation has taken you—except that of man; and God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted above what you are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear [it].
Tentationec etzaituztez hartu humanoc baicen: eta fidal da Iaincoa, ceinec ezpaitu permettituren tenta çaitezten egar ahal deçaque çuen baino guehiagoz: baina emanen du tentationearequin batean ilkitbidea-ere sustenga ahal deçaçuençát.
14 For this reason, my beloved, flee from the idolatry;
Hunegatic, ene maiteác, ihes eguiçue idolatriatic.
15 as to wise men I speak—judge what I say.
Adituey beçala minço natzaiçue: ceuroc iugea eçaçue erraiten dudanaz.
16 The cup of the blessing that we bless—is it not the fellowship of the blood of the Christ? The bread that we break—is it not the fellowship of the body of the Christ?
Benedictionezco copa benedicatzen duguna, ezta Christen odolaren communionea? eta hausten dugun oguia ezta Christen gorputzaren communionea?
17 Because one bread, one body, are we the many—for we all partake of the one bread.
Ecen gu baicara anhitz, oguibat gara eta gorputzbat: ceren guciac ogui batetan participant baicara.
18 See Israel according to the flesh! Are those not eating the sacrifices in the fellowship of the altar?
Ikussaçue Israel haraguiaren arauez dena: sacrificioac iaten dituztenac, eztirade aldarean participant?
19 What do I say then? That an idol is anything? Or that a sacrifice offered to an idol is anything?
Cer erraiten dut beraz? idola cerbait dela? edo idolari sacrificatu çayona, cerbait dela? ez.
20 [No, ] but that the things that the nations sacrifice—they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not wish you to come into the fellowship of the demons.
Aitzitic diot, ecen Gentiléc sacrificatzen ditutzen gauçác, deabruey sacrificatzen drauztela, eta ez Iaincoari: eztut bada nahi çuec participant çareten deabruén.
21 You are not able to drink the cup of the LORD and the cup of demons; you are not able to partake of the table of the LORD and of the table of demons;
Ecin Iaunaren copá edan deçaqueçue, eta deabruaren copá: ecin Iaunaren mahainean participant çaratezte: eta deabruén mahainean.
22 do we arouse the LORD to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?
Ala nahi dugu asserre eraci Iauna? ala hura baino borthitzago gara?
23 All things are lawful to me, but not all things are profitable; all things are lawful to me, but not all things build up;
Gauça guciac permettitzen çaizquit, baina guciac eztirade probetchutaco: gauça guciac permettitzen çaizquit, baina gauça guciéc eztute edificatzen.
24 let no one seek his own—but each another’s.
Nehorc ezteçala bere propria bilha, baina batbederac bercerena.
25 Eat whatever is sold in the meat-market, not inquiring, because of the conscience,
Haraquinçán saltzen den orotaric, ianagaçue: deus galdeguin gabe conscientiagatic.
26 for the earth and its fullness [are] the LORD’s;
Ecen Iaunarena da lurra eta hartango complimendua.
27 and if anyone of the unbelieving calls you, and you wish to go, eat all that is set before you, inquiring nothing, because of the conscience;
Eta baldin infideletaric cembeitec gomitatzen baçaituztez, eta ioan nahi baçarete: aitzinera eçarten çaiçuen orotaric ianagaçue, deus galdeguin gabe conscientiagatic.
28 and if anyone may say to you, “This is a thing sacrificed to an idol,” do not eat, because of that one who showed [it], and of the conscience, for the LORD’s [is] the earth and its fullness:
Baina baldin cembeitec erran badieçaçue, Haur idoley sacrificatua da, ezteçaçuela ian, auertitu çaituztenagatic, eta conscientiagatic: ecen Iaunarena da lurra eta hartango complimendua.
29 and conscience, I say, not of yourself, but of the other, for why [is it] that my liberty is judged by another’s conscience?
Baina conscientiá erraiten diat, ez hirea, baina bercearena: ecen cergatic ene libertatea iudicatzen da berceren conscientiaz?
30 And if I partake thankfully, why am I spoken of [as] evil, for that for which I give thanks?
Eta baldin nic gratiaz viandán participatzen badut, cergatic gaichto iudicatzen naiz nic esquerrac emaiten ditudan gauçagatic?
31 Whether, then, you eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;
Bada, edo iaten baduçue, edo edaten baduçue. edo cerbait berceric eguiten baduçue, gucia Iaincoaren gloriatan eguiçue.
32 become offenseless, both to Jews and Greeks, and to the Assembly of God;
Çareten scandalo gabe eta Iuduetara eta Grecoetara eta Iaincoaren Eliçagana.
33 as I also please all in all things, not seeking my own profit, but that of many—that they may be saved.
Ni-ere gauça gucietan gucién gogaraco naicen beçala, bilhatzen eztudala neure probetchu propria: baina anhitzena, salua ditecençat.
