5 Sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
Die Kinder Japheths sind diese: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Thubal, Mesech, Thiras.
6 And sons of Gomer: Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

7 And sons of Javan: Elisha, and Tarshishah, Kittim, and Dodanim.
Die Kinder Javans sind: Elisa, Tharsisa, Chitim, Dodanim.
8 Sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
Die Kinder Hams sind: Chus, Mizraim, Put, Kanaan.
9 And sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecka. And sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
Die Kinder aber Chus sind: Seba, Hevila, Sabtha, Ragema, Sabthecha. Die Kinder aber Ragemas sind: Scheba und Dedan.
10 And Cush begot Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the land.
Chus aber zeugete Nimrod; der fing an gewaltig zu sein auf Erden.
11 And Mizraim begot the Ludim, and the Anamim, and the Lehabim, and the Naphtuhim,
Mizraim zeugete Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphthuhim,
12 and the Pathrusim, and the Casluhim (from whom the Philistim came out), and the Caphtorim.
Pathrusim, Kasluhim (von welchen sind auskommen die Philistim) und Kaphthorim.
13 And Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
Kanaan aber zeugete Zidon, seinen ersten Sohn, und Heth,
14 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,
Jebusi, Amori, Girgosi,
15 and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
Hevi, Arki, Sini,
16 and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.
Arwadi, Zemari und Hemathi.
17 Sons of Shem: Elam and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

18 And Arphaxad begot Shelah, and Shelah begot Eber.
Arphachsad aber zeugete Salah; Salah zeugete Eber.
19 And two sons have been born to Eber, the name of the first [is] Peleg, for in his days the earth has been divided, and the name of his brother is Joktan.
Eber aber wurden zween Söhne geboren; der eine hieß Peleg, darum daß zu seiner Zeit das Land zerteilet ward; und sein Bruder hieß Jaktan.
20 And Joktan begot Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
Jaktan aber zeugete Almodad, Saleph, Hazarmaveth, Jarah,
21 and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
Hadoram, Usal, Dikla,
22 and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
Ebal, Abimael, Scheba,
23 and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab; all these [are] sons of Joktan.
Ophir, Hevila und Jobab. Das sind alle Kinder Jaktans.
24 Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,

26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,

27 Abram—he [is] Abraham.

28 Sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael.

29 These [are] their generations: [the] firstborn of Ishmael [was] Nebaioth, then Kedar, and Adheel, and Mibsam,

30 Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
Misma, Duma, Masa, Hadad, Thema,
31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedema. These are sons of Ishmael.

32 And sons of Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
Die Kinder aber Keturas, des Kebsweibes Abrahams: die gebar Simran, Jaksan, Medan, Midian, Jesbak, Suah. Aber die Kinder Jaksans sind: Scheba und Dedan.
33 And sons of Midian: Ephah and Epher, and Enoch, and Abida, and Eldaah; all these [are] sons of Keturah.
Und die Kinder Midians sind: Epha, Epher, Henoch, Abida, Eldaa. Dies sind alle Kinder der Ketura.
34 And Abraham begets Isaac. Sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
Abraham zeugete Isaak. Die Kinder aber Isaaks sind: Esau und Israel.
35 Sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
Die Kinder Esaus sind: Eliphas, Reguel, Jeus, Jaelam, Korah.
36 Sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.
Die Kinder Eliphas sind: Theman, Omar, Zephi, Gaetham, Kenas, Thimna, Amalek.
37 Sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
Die Kinder Reguels sind: Nahath, Serah, Samma und Misa.
38 And sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezar, and Dishan.
Die Kinder Seirs sind: Lothan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, Dison, Ezer, Disan.
39 And sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam, and sister of Lotan [is] Timna.
Die Kinder Lothans sind: Hori, Homam; und Thimna war eine Schwester Lothans.
40 Sons of Shobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And sons of Zideon: Aiah and Anah.
Die Kinder Sobals sind: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Sephi, Onam. Die Kinder Zibeons sind: Aja und Ana.
41 The sons of Anah: Dishon. And sons of Dishon: Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
Die Kinder Anas: Dison. Die Kinder Disons sind: Hamran, Esban, Jethran, Cheran.
42 Sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zavan, Jakan. Sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
Die Kinder Ezers sind: Bilhan, Saewan, Jaekan. Die Kinder Disans sind: Uz und Aran.
43 And these [are] the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before the reigning of a king of the sons of Israel: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city [is] Dinhabah.
Dies sind die Könige, die regieret haben im Lande Edom, ehe denn ein König regierete unter den Kindern Israel: Bela, der Sohn Beors; und seine Stadt hieß Dinhaba.
44 And Bela dies, and Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrali reigns in his stead;
Und da Bela starb, ward König an seiner Statt Jobab, der Sohn Serahs, von Bazra.
45 and Jobab dies, and Husham from the land of the Temanite reigns in his stead;
Und da Jobab starb, ward König an seiner Statt Husam aus der Themaniter Lande.
46 and Husham dies, and Hadad son of Bedad reigns in his stead (who strikes Midian in the field of Moab) and the name of his city [is] Avith;
Da Husam starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, der Sohn Bedads, der die Midianiter schlug in der Moabiter Felde; und seine Stadt hieß Awith.
47 and Hadad dies, and Samlah from Masrekah reigns in his stead;
Da Hadad starb, ward König an seiner Statt Samla von Masrek.
48 and Samlah dies, and Shaul from Rehoboth of the River reigns in his stead;
Da Samla starb, ward König an seiner Statt Saul von Rehoboth am Wasser.
49 and Shaul dies, and Ba‘al-Hanan son of Achbor reigns in his stead;
Da Saul starb, ward König an seiner Statt Baal-Hanan, der Sohn Achbors.
50 and Ba‘al-Hanan dies, and Hadad reigns in his stead, and the name of his city [is] Pai, and the name of his wife [is] Mehetabel daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab; Hadad also dies.
Da Baal-Hanan starb, ward König an seiner Statt Hadad, und seine Stadt hieß Pagi; und sein Weib hieß Mehetabeel, eine Tochter Matreds, die Mesahabs Tochter war.
51 And chiefs of Edom are: Chief Timnah, Chief Aliah, Chief Jetheth,
Da aber Hadad starb, wurden Fürsten zu Edom: Fürst Thimna, Fürst Alwa, Fürst Jetheth,
52 Chief Aholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon,
Fürst Ahalibama, Fürst Ela, Fürst Pinon,
53 Chief Kenaz, Chief Teman, Chief Mibzar,
Fürst Kenas, Fürst Theman, Fürst Mibzar,
54 Chief Magdiel, Chief Iram. These [are] chiefs of Edom.
Fürst Magdiel, Fürst Iram. Das sind die Fürsten zu Edom.
