1 Chronicles 5
1 As for sons of Reuben, firstborn of Israel—for he [is] the firstborn, and on account of his profaning the bed of his father his birthright has been given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, and [he is] not to be reckoned by genealogy for the birthright,
Hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel. Él era el primogénito, pero porque profanó el lecho de su padre, su primogenitura fue dada a los hijos de José, hijo de Israel, y no fue posible registrarlo como primogénito.
2 for Judah has been mighty over his brother, and for leader above him, and the birthright [is] to Joseph—
Aunque la primogenitura correspondió a José, Judá fue superior entre sus hermanos y el jefe de ellos, pero el privilegio de primogenitura fue para José.
3 sons of Reuben, firstborn of Israel: Enoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
Los hijos de Rubén, primogénito de Israel, fueron: Hanoc, Falú, Hezrón y Carmi.
4 Sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
Los hijos de Joel: Semaías, Gog, Simei,
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Ba‘al his son,
Micaía, Reaía, y
6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur removed; he [is] prince of the Reubenite.
Beera, el cual fue transportado por Tiglat-pileser, rey de los asirios. Éste fue jefe de los rubenitas.
7 And his brothers, by their families, in the genealogy of their generations, [are] heads: Jeiel, and Zechariah,
Sus hermanos según sus familias, cuando fueron contados según sus generaciones, tenían a Jeiel como jefe, Zacarías,
8 and Bela son of Azaz, son of Shema, son of Joel—he is dwelling in Aroer, even to Nebo and Ba‘al-Meon;
Bela, hijo de Azaz, hijo de Sema, hijo de Joel, quien vivió en Aroer hasta Nebo y Baal-meón.
9 and he dwelt at the east even to the entering in of the wilderness, even from the Euphrates River, for their livestock were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
Se estableció también hacia el oriente hasta la entrada del desierto [que se extiende] desde el río Éufrates, porque tenía mucho ganado en la tierra de Galaad.
10 And they have made war with the Hagarites in the days of Saul, who fall by their hand, and they dwell in their tents over all the face of the east of Gilead.
Pero en tiempo de Saúl guerrearon contra los agarenos, los cuales cayeron en su mano. Y ellos vivieron en sus tiendas en toda la región oriental de Galaad.
11 And the sons of Gad have dwelt opposite them in the land of Bashan to Salcah:
Los hijos de Gad vivieron enfrente a [los rubenitas] en la tierra de Basán hasta Salca.
12 Joel the head, and Shapham the second, and Jaanai and Shaphat in Bashan;
Joel fue el jefe en Basán. El segundo Safán, luego Jaanai, después Safat.
13 and their brothers of the house of their fathers [are] Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber—seven.
Sus hermanos, según las familias de sus padres, fueron Micael, Mesulam, Seba, Jorai, Jacán, Zía y Heber: siete.
14 These [are] sons of Abihail son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jeshishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz;
Éstos fueron los hijos de Abihail, hijo de Huri, hijo de Jaroa, hijo de Galaad, hijo de Micael, hijo de Jesisai, hijo de Jahdo, hijo de Buz.
15 Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, [is] head of the house of their fathers;
También Ahí, hijo de Abdiel, hijo de Guni, fue jefe en la casa de sus padres.
16 and they dwell in Gilead in Bashan, and in her small towns, and in all outskirts of Sharon, on their outskirts;
Vivieron en Galaad, Basán y sus aldeas, y todos los campos de alrededor de Sarón hasta sus confines.
17 all of them reckoned themselves by genealogy in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
Todos éstos fueron contados según sus generaciones en los días de Jotam, rey de Judá, y en tiempo de Jeroboam, rey de Israel.
18 Sons of Reuben, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, of sons of valor, men carrying shield and sword, and treading bow, and taught in battle, [are] forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going out to the host.
Los hijos de Rubén y de Gad, y la media tribu de Manasés, hombres valientes, hombres que portaban escudo y espada, expertos en el manejo del arco y diestros en la guerra, eran 44.760 que salían a la guerra.
19 And they make war with the Hagarites, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab,
Éstos tuvieron guerra contra los agarenos, y Jetur, Nafis y Nodab.
20 and they are helped against them, and the Hagarites are given into their hand, and all who [are] with them, for they cried to God in battle, and He received their plea, because they trusted in Him.
En medio del combate clamaron a su ʼElohim, y les fue favorable porque confiaron en Él. Los agarenos y todos sus aliados fueron entregados en sus manos.
21 And they take their livestock captive—fifty thousand of their camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, and two thousand donkeys, and one hundred thousand of mankind;
Tomaron sus ganados: 50.000 camellos, 250.000 ovejas y 2.000 asnos, además de 100.000 personas.
22 for many have fallen pierced, for the battle [is] of God; and they dwell in their stead until the expulsion.
Muchos cayeron muertos, porque la batalla era de ʼElohim. Vivieron en sus lugares hasta el cautiverio.
23 And the sons of the half of the tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Bashan to Ba‘al-Hermon, and Senir, and Mount Hermon; they have multiplied.
Los hijos de la media tribu de Manasés vivieron en la tierra desde Basán hasta Baal-hermón, Senir y la montaña Hermón, y se multiplicaron muchísimo.
24 And these [are] heads of the house of their fathers: even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, men mighty in valor, men of renown, heads of the house of their fathers.
Estos son los jefes de las casas paternas: Efer, Isi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremías, Hodavías y Jahdiel, hombres valientes y esforzados, varones de renombre y jefes de las casas paternas.
25 And they trespass against the God of their fathers, and go whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed from their presence;
Pero se rebelaron contra el ʼElohim de sus padres, y se prostituyeron al seguir a los ʼelohim de los pueblos de la tierra, a los cuales Yavé quitó de delante de ellos.
26 and the God of Israel stirs up the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur, and he removes them—even the Reubenite, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh—and brings them to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and the River of Gozan to this day.
Por lo cual el ʼElohim de Israel incitó el espíritu de Pul, rey de los asirios, es decir el espíritu de Tiglat-pileser, rey de los asirios, quien deportó a los rubenitas, gaditas y a la media tribu de Manasés. Los llevó a Halah, Habor, Hara y al río Gozán, hasta hoy.
