1 Chronicles 5
1 As for sons of Reuben, firstborn of Israel—for he [is] the firstborn, and on account of his profaning the bed of his father his birthright has been given to the sons of Joseph son of Israel, and [he is] not to be reckoned by genealogy for the birthright,

2 for Judah has been mighty over his brother, and for leader above him, and the birthright [is] to Joseph—

3 sons of Reuben, firstborn of Israel: Enoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

4 Sons of Joel: Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son,
੪ਯੋਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਗੋਗ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਿਮਈ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
5 Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Ba‘al his son,
੫ਮੀਕਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਰਆਯਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਬਆਲ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
6 Beerah his son, whom Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur removed; he [is] prince of the Reubenite.
੬ਬਏਰਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਿਲਗਥ ਪਿਲਨਅਸਰ ਬੰਧੂਆ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸੀ
7 And his brothers, by their families, in the genealogy of their generations, [are] heads: Jeiel, and Zechariah,
੭ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੁਲ ਪੱਤ੍ਰੀ ਬਣੀ ਇਹ ਸਨ, ਮੁਖੀ, ਯਈਏਲ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ
8 and Bela son of Azaz, son of Shema, son of Joel—he is dwelling in Aroer, even to Nebo and Ba‘al-Meon;
੮ਅਤੇ ਬਲਾ ਆਜ਼ਾਜ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਸ਼ਮਆ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯੋਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਰੋਏਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਬੋ ਤੇ ਬਆਲ-ਮਓਨ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੀ
9 and he dwelt at the east even to the entering in of the wilderness, even from the Euphrates River, for their livestock were multiplied in the land of Gilead.
੯ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੜਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਫ਼ਰਾਤ ਦਰਿਆ ਤੋਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧ ਗਏ ਸਨ
10 And they have made war with the Hagarites in the days of Saul, who fall by their hand, and they dwell in their tents over all the face of the east of Gilead.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਗਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੜਦੇ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੇ।
11 And the sons of Gad have dwelt opposite them in the land of Bashan to Salcah:
੧੧ਗਾਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਲਕਾਹ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਸੇ
12 Joel the head, and Shapham the second, and Jaanai and Shaphat in Bashan;
੧੨ਯੋਏਲ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੀ, ਫੇਰ ਦੂਜਾ ਸ਼ਫਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਅਨਈ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਫਾਟ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ
13 and their brothers of the house of their fathers [are] Michael, and Meshullam, and Sheba, and Jorai, and Jachan, and Zia, and Heber—seven.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਭਰਾ, ਮੀਕਾਏਲ ਤੇ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਾ ਤੇ ਯੋਰਈ ਤੇ ਯਅਕਾਨ ਤੇ ਜ਼ੀਆ ਤੇ ਏਬਰ ਸਨ
14 These [are] sons of Abihail son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jeshishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz;
੧੪ਇਹ ਅਬੀਹੈਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਹੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਾਰੋਅਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਮੀਕਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਸ਼ੀਸ਼ਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਯਹਦੋ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਬੂਜ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
15 Ahi son of Abdiel, son of Guni, [is] head of the house of their fathers;
੧੫ਅਬਦੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਹੀ, ਗੂਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀ
16 and they dwell in Gilead in Bashan, and in her small towns, and in all outskirts of Sharon, on their outskirts;
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਰੋਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਾਰਗਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ
17 all of them reckoned themselves by genealogy in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
੧੭ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕੁਲਪੱਤ੍ਰੀਆਂ ਲਿਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ।
18 Sons of Reuben, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh, of sons of valor, men carrying shield and sword, and treading bow, and taught in battle, [are] forty-four thousand and seven hundred and sixty, going out to the host.
੧੮ਰਊਬੇਨੀ ਤੇ ਗਾਦੀ ਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਢਾਲ਼ ਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਤੀਰ-ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਚੁਤਾਲੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੱਤ ਸੌ ਸੱਠ ਯੋਧੇ ਸਨ
19 And they make war with the Hagarites, and Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab,
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਹਗਰੀਆਂ, ਯਟੂਰ ਤੇ ਨਾਫ਼ੀਸ਼ ਤੇ ਨੋਦਾਬ ਨਾਲ ਲੜੇ
20 and they are helped against them, and the Hagarites are given into their hand, and all who [are] with them, for they cried to God in battle, and He received their plea, because they trusted in Him.
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਗਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੋਈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ
21 And they take their livestock captive—fifty thousand of their camels, and two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, and two thousand donkeys, and one hundred thousand of mankind;
੨੧ਅਤੇ ਓਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਲੈ ਗਏ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਊਠ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਢਾਈ ਲੱਖ, ਅਤੇ ਗਧੇ ਦੋ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ, ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ
22 for many have fallen pierced, for the battle [is] of God; and they dwell in their stead until the expulsion.
੨੨ਸੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਵੱਢੇ ਗਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਯੁੱਧ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
23 And the sons of the half of the tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land, from Bashan to Ba‘al-Hermon, and Senir, and Mount Hermon; they have multiplied.
੨੩ਮਨੱਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੇ। ਓਹ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਆਲ-ਹਰਮੋਨ ਤੇ ਸਨੀਰ ਤੇ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੱਕ ਵਧਦੇ ਗਏ
24 And these [are] heads of the house of their fathers: even Epher, and Ishi, and Eliel, and Azriel, and Jeremiah, and Hodaviah, and Jahdiel, men mighty in valor, men of renown, heads of the house of their fathers.
੨੪ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਏਫਰ ਤੇ ਯਿਸ਼ਈ ਤੇ ਅਲੀਏਲ ਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰੀਏਲ ਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਹੋਦਵਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਯਹਦੀਏਲ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਯੋਧੇ, ਨਾਮੀ, ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ।
25 And they trespass against the God of their fathers, and go whoring after the gods of the peoples of the land whom God destroyed from their presence;
੨੫ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਡ-ਵਡੇਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚਲ ਕੇ ਵਿਭਚਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ
26 and the God of Israel stirs up the spirit of Pul king of Asshur, and the spirit of Tilgath-Pilneser king of Asshur, and he removes them—even the Reubenite, and the Gadite, and the half of the tribe of Manasseh—and brings them to Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and the River of Gozan to this day.
੨੬ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਪੂਲ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਿਲਗਥ ਪਿਲਨਅਸਰ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਰਊਬੇਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਗਾਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਗੋਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਲਹ, ਹਾਬੋਰ, ਹਾਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਜ਼ਾਨ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ।
