1 Chronicles 4

1 Sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

Los hijos de Judá: Fares, Hezrón, Carmi, Hur y Sobal.

2 And Reaiah son of Shobal begot Jahath, and Jahath begot Ahumai and Lahad; these [are] families of the Zorathite.

Y Reaia, hijo de Sobal, era el padre de Jahat; y Jahath fue el padre de Ahumai y Lahad. Estas son las familias de los zoratitas.

3 And these [are] of the father of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister [is] Hazzelelponi;

Y estos fueron los hijos de Etam: Jezreel e Isma e Idbas, y el nombre de su hermana fue Haze-lelponi;

4 and Penuel [is] father of Gedor, and Ezer father of Hushah. These [are] sons of Hur, firstborn of Ephratah, father of Beth-Lehem.

Y Penuel, el padre de Gedor, y Ezer, el padre de Husa. Estos son los hijos de Hur, el hijo mayor de Efrata, el padre de Belén.

5 And to Ashhur father of Tekoa were two wives, Helah and Naarah;

6 and Naarah bears to him Ahuzzam, and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari: these [are] sons of Naarah.

7 And sons of Helah: Zereth, and Zohar, and Ethnan.

Y los hijos de Hela fueron Zeret, Izar y Etnan.

8 And Coz begot Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel son of Harum.

Y Cus fue el padre de Anub y Zobeba, y las familias de Aharhel, hijo de Harum.

9 And Jabez is honored above his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I have brought forth with grief.”

Y Jabes fue más honrado que sus hermanos; pero su madre le había dado el nombre de Jabes, diciendo: Porque lo di a luz con tristeza.

10 And Jabez calls to the God of Israel, saying, “If blessing You bless me, then You have made my border great, and Your hand has been with me, and You have kept [me] from evil—not to grieve me”; and God brings in that which he asked.

Y Jabes hizo una oración al Dios de Israel, diciendo: Si tan solo me dieras una bendición, y ampliaras los límites de mi territorio, y que tu mano esté conmigo, y me guarde del mal, para que no me dañe! Y Dios le dio su deseo.

11 And Chelub brother of Shuah begot Mehir; he [is] father of Eshton.

Y Quelub, el hermano de Sua, fue el padre de Mehir, quien fue el padre de Eston.

12 And Eshton begot Beth-Rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah father of Ir-Nahash; these [are] men of Rechah.

Y Eston fue el padre de Bet-rafa, Paseah y Tehina, fundador de Ir-nahas. Estos son los habitantes de Reca.

13 And sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah; and sons of Othniel: Hathath.

14 And Meonothai begot Ophrah, and Seraiah begot Joab father of the Valley of the Craftsmen, for they were craftsmen.

15 And sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam; and sons of Elah: even Kenaz.

16 And sons of Jehaleleel: Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asareel.

17 And sons of Ezra: Jether, and Mered, and Epher, and Jalon. And she bears Miriam, and Shammai, and Ishbah father of Eshtemoa.

Y los hijos de Esdras: Jeter, Mered, Efer Jalón; y estos son los hijos de Bitia, la hija de faraón, la esposa de Mered, la madre de Miriam y Samai e Isba, el padre de Estemoa.

18 And his wife Jehudijah bore Jered father of Gedor, and Heber father of Socho, and Jekuthiel father of Zanoah. And these [are] sons of Bithiah daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took,

Y tuvo también una esposa, una mujer de la tribu de Judá, se convirtió en la madre de Jered, el padre de Gedor, y Heber, el padre de Soco, y Jecutiel, el padre de Zanoa.

19 and sons of the wife of Hodiah sister of Nahom: Abi-Keilah the Garmite, and Eshtemoa the Maachathite.

Y los hijos de la mujer de Hodias, la hermana de Naham, fueron los padres de Keila, él Garmita, y Estemoa él maacateo.

20 And sons of Shimon: Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-Hanon, and Tilon; and sons of Ishi: Zoheth, and Ben-Zoheth.

21 Sons of Shelah son of Judah: Er father of Lecah, and Laadah father of Mareshah, and the families of the house of the service of fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;

22 and Jokim, and the men of Chozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who ruled over Moab and Jashubi-Lehem; and these things [are] ancient.

23 They [are] the potters and inhabitants of Netaim and Gedera; they dwelt there with the king in his work.

24 Sons of Simeon: Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul;

25 Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.

26 And sons of Mishma: Hammuel his son, Zacchur his son, Shimei his son.

27 And to Shimei [are] sixteen sons and six daughters, and to his brothers there are not many sons, and none of their families have multiplied as much as the sons of Judah.

Y Simei tenía dieciséis hijos y seis hijas, pero sus hermanos tenían pocos hijos, y su familia no era tan fértil como los hijos de Judá.

28 And they dwell in Beer-Sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-Shaul,

Y vivían en Beer-seba, Molada, Hazar-sual,

29 and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad,

Y Bilha, Ezem, Tolad,

30 and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag,

Y Betuel, Horma, Siclag,

31 and in Beth-Marcaboth, and in Hazar-Susim, and in Beth-Birei, and in Shaarim; these [are] their cities until the reigning of David.

Y Bet-marcabot, Hazar-susim, Bet-birai, y en Saaraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta que David se convirtió en rey.

32 And their villages [are] Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan—five cities,

Y sus pueblos pequeños eran Etam, Ain, Rimon, y Toquen y Asán, cinco pueblos;

33 and all their villages that [are] around these cities to Ba‘al; these [are] their dwellings, and they have their genealogy:

Y todos los lugares pequeños alrededor de estas ciudades, hasta Baalat, el lugar alto del sur. Estos eran sus lugares donde vivieron, y tienen listas de sus generaciones.

34 even Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah son of Amaziah,

35 and Joel, and Jehu son of Josibiah, son of Seraiah, son of Asiel,

Y Joel y Jehú, hijo de Josibías, hijo de Seraías, hijo de Asiel,

36 and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah,

37 and Ziza son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.

38 These who are coming in by name [are] princes in their families, and the house of their fathers has broken forth into a multitude;

Estos, cuyos nombres se dan, eran jefes en sus familias, y sus familias llegaron a ser muy grandes en número.

39 and they go to the entrance of Gedor, to the east of the valley, to seek pasture for their flock,

Y fueron a la entrada de Gedor, hasta el lado este del valle, en busca de pastos para sus rebaños.

40 and they find pasture, fat and good, and the land broad of sides, and quiet, and safe, for those dwelling there before are of Ham.

Y llegaron a un buen pasto fértil, en un país ancho y tranquilo de gente que ama la paz; Porque las personas que vivían allí antes eran de la descendencia de Cam.

41 And these who are written by name come in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and strike their tents, and the habitations that have been found there, and devote them to destruction to this day, and dwell in their stead, because pasture for their flock [is] there.

Y estos cuyos nombres aparecen en los días de Ezequías, rey de Judá, atacaron a los meunitas que vivían allí y los pusieron fin hasta el día de hoy, y tomaron su lugar, porque allí había hierba para sus rebaños.

42 And of them, of the sons of Simeon, five hundred men have gone to Mount Seir, and Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, sons of Ishi, at their head,

Y algunos de ellos, quinientos de los hijos de Simeón, fueron a la región montañosa de Seir, con Pelatias, Nearias, Refaias y Uziel, los hijos de Isi, a la cabeza.

43 and they strike the remnant of those escaped of Amalek, and dwell there to this day.

Y mataron al resto de los amalecitas que se habían escapado a salvo y lo convirtieron en su lugar de residencia hasta el día de hoy.
