1 Chronicles 25
1 And David and the heads of the host separate for service, of the sons of Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun, who are prophesying with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals; and the number of the workmen is according to their service.
| וַיַּבְדֵּל דָּוִיד וְשָׂרֵי הַצָּבָא לַעֲבֹדָה לִבְנֵי אָסָף וְהֵימָן וִידוּתוּן (הנביאים) [הַֽנִּבְּאִים] בְּכִנֹּרוֹת בִּנְבָלִים וּבִמְצִלְתָּיִם וַֽיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם אַנְשֵׁי מְלָאכָה לַעֲבֹדָתָֽם׃ |
2 Of sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah; sons of Asaph [are] by the side of Asaph, who is prophesying by the side of the king.
| לִבְנֵי אָסָף זַכּוּר וְיוֹסֵף וּנְתַנְיָה וַאֲשַׂרְאֵלָה בְּנֵי אָסָף עַל יַד־אָסָף הַנִּבָּא עַל־יְדֵי הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ |
3 Of Jeduthun, sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, [and Shimei, and] Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, by the side of their father Jeduthun; he is prophesying with a harp, for giving of thanks and of praise for YHWH.
| לִידוּתוּן בְּנֵי יְדוּתוּן גְּדַלְיָהוּ וּצְרִי וִישַׁעְיָהוּ חֲשַׁבְיָהוּ וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ שִׁשָּׁה עַל יְדֵי אֲבִיהֶם יְדוּתוּן בַּכִּנּוֹר הַנִּבָּא עַל־הֹדוֹת וְהַלֵּל לַיהֹוָֽה׃ |
4 Of Heman, sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth;
| לְהֵימָן בְּנֵי הֵימָן בֻּקִּיָּהוּ מַתַּנְיָהוּ עֻזִּיאֵל שְׁבוּאֵל וִירִימוֹת חֲנַנְיָה חֲנָנִי אֱלִיאָתָה גִדַּלְתִּי וְרֹמַמְתִּי עֶזֶר יׇשְׁבְּקָשָׁה מַלּוֹתִי הוֹתִיר מַחֲזִיאֹֽת׃ |
5 all these [are] sons of Heman, seer of the king in the things of God, to lift up a horn; and God gives fourteen sons and three daughters to Heman.
| כׇּל־אֵלֶּה בָנִים לְהֵימָן חֹזֵה הַמֶּלֶךְ בְּדִבְרֵי הָאֱלֹהִים לְהָרִים קָרֶן וַיִּתֵּן הָאֱלֹהִים לְהֵימָן בָּנִים אַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר וּבָנוֹת שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃ |
6 All these [are] by the side of their father in the song of the house of YHWH, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God; by the side of the king [are] Asaph, and Jeduthun, and Heman.
| כׇּל־אֵלֶּה עַל־יְדֵי אֲבִיהֶם בַּשִּׁיר בֵּית יְהֹוָה בִּמְצִלְתַּיִם נְבָלִים וְכִנֹּרוֹת לַעֲבֹדַת בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים עַל יְדֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ אָסָף וִידוּתוּן וְהֵימָֽן׃ |
7 And their number, with their brothers taught in the song of YHWH—all who are intelligent—[is] two hundred and eighty-eight.
| וַיְהִי מִסְפָּרָם עִם־אֲחֵיהֶם מְלֻמְּדֵי־שִׁיר לַיהֹוָה כׇּל־הַמֵּבִין מָאתַיִם שְׁמוֹנִים וּשְׁמוֹנָֽה׃ |
8 And they cause lots to fall, charge next to [charge], the small as well as the great, the intelligent with the learner.
| וַיַּפִּילוּ גּוֹרָלוֹת מִשְׁמֶרֶת לְעֻמַּת כַּקָּטֹן כַּגָּדוֹל מֵבִין עִם־תַּלְמִֽיד׃ |
9 And the first lot goes out for Asaph to Joseph; the second, Gedaliah—him, and his brothers and his sons—twelve;
| וַיֵּצֵא הַגּוֹרָל הָרִאשׁוֹן לְאָסָף לְיוֹסֵף גְּדַלְיָהוּ הַשֵּׁנִי הֽוּא־וְאֶחָיו וּבָנָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
10 the third, Zaccur, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַשְּׁלִשִׁי זַכּוּר בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
11 the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הָֽרְבִיעִי לַיִּצְרִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
12 the fifth, Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַחֲמִישִׁי נְתַנְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
13 the sixth, Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַשִּׁשִּׁי בֻקִּיָּהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
14 the seventh, Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַשְּׁבִעִי יְשַׂרְאֵלָה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
15 the eighth, Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַשְּׁמִינִי יְשַֽׁעְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
16 the ninth, Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַתְּשִׁיעִי מַתַּנְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
17 the tenth, Shimei, his sons and his brothers—twelve:
| הָעֲשִׂירִי שִׁמְעִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
18 eleventh, Azareel, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| עַשְׁתֵּי־עָשָׂר עֲזַרְאֵל בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
19 the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| הַשְּׁנֵים עָשָׂר לַֽחֲשַׁבְיָה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
20 for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לִשְׁלֹשָׁה עָשָׂר שֽׁוּבָאֵל בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
21 for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לְאַרְבָּעָה עָשָׂר מַתִּתְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
22 for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לַחֲמִשָּׁה עָשָׂר לִירֵמוֹת בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
23 the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לְשִׁשָּׁה עָשָׂר לַחֲנַנְיָהוּ בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
24 the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לְשִׁבְעָה עָשָׂר לְיׇשְׁבְּקָשָׁה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
25 the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לִשְׁמוֹנָה עָשָׂר לַחֲנָנִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
26 the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לְתִשְׁעָה עָשָׂר לְמַלּוֹתִי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
27 the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לְעֶשְׂרִים לֶאֱלִיָּתָה בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
28 the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לְאֶחָד וְעֶשְׂרִים לְהוֹתִיר בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
29 the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לִשְׁנַיִם וְעֶשְׂרִים לְגִדַּלְתִּי בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
30 the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers—twelve;
| לִשְׁלֹשָׁה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְמַחֲזִיאוֹת בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
31 the twenty-fourth to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brothers—twelve.
| לְאַרְבָּעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים לְרוֹמַמְתִּי עָזֶר בָּנָיו וְאֶחָיו שְׁנֵים עָשָֽׂר׃ |
