1 Chronicles 23
1 And David was old and satisfied with days, and he causes his son Solomon to reign over Israel,
जब दाऊद वृद्ध भएका र आफ्नो जीवनको अन्तिम क्षणमा थिए, तब तिनले आफ्ना छोरा सोलोमनलाई इस्राएलमाथि राजा बनाए ।
2 and gathers all the heads of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites;
पूजाहारीहरू र लेवीहरूसँगै तिनले इस्राएलका सबै अगुवाहरूलाई भेला गराए ।
3 and the Levites are numbered from a son of thirty years and upward, and their number, for their counted heads, is of thirty-eight thousand mighty men.
तीस वर्ष र त्योभन्दा बढी उमेरका लेवीहरूको सङ्ख्याको गणना भयो । तिनीहरूको संख्या अठ्तीस हजार थियो ।
4 Of these, twenty-four thousand [are] to preside over the work of the house of YHWH, and six thousand officers and judges,
“तिमध्येका चौबीस हजारको काम परमप्रभुका मन्दिरको कामको रेखदेख गर्ने थियो, र छ हजार अधिकारीहरू र न्यायकर्ताहरू थिए ।
5 and four thousand gatekeepers, and four thousand giving praise to YHWH, “with instruments that I made for praising,” [says David.]
चार हजार द्वारपालहरू, र चार हजारले मैले दिएका बाजा बजाएर परमप्रभुको स्तुतिगान गर्नपर्छ,” दाऊदले भने ।
6 And David distributes them into divisions of the sons of Levi—of Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
तिनले उनीहरूलाई लेवीका छोराहरू गेर्शोन, कहात र मरारीका नाउँबमोजिम विभाजन गरे ।
7 Of the Gershonite: Laadan and Shimei.
लादान र शिमी गेर्शोनका वंशका थिए ।
8 Sons of Laadan: the head [is] Jehiel, and Zetham, and Joel—three.
लादानका तीन छोराहरू: अगुवा यहीएल, जेताम र योएल थिए ।
9 Sons of Shimei: Shelomith, and Haziel, and Haran—three; these [are] heads of the fathers of Laadan.
शिमीका तिन छोराहरू: शलोमोत, हजीएल र हारान थिए । लादानका वंशका मुखियाहरू यी नै थिए ।
10 And sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah; these [are] the four sons of Shimei.
शिमीका चार छोराहरूः यहत, जीजा, येऊश र बरीआ थिए ।
11 And Jahath is the head, and Zizah the second, and Jeush and Beriah have not multiplied sons, and they become the house of a father by one numbering.
यहत जेठा थिए, जीजा माइला, तर येऊश र बरीआका धेरै छोराहरू थिएनन्, त्यसैले तिनीहरू एउटै कामको निम्ति एकै वंशको रूपमा गनिए ।
12 Sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel—four.
कहातका चार छोराहरू: अम्राम, यिसहार, हेब्रोन र उज्जीएल थिए ।
13 Sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron is separated for his sanctifying the Holy of Holies, he and his sons, for all time, to make incense before YHWH, to serve Him, and to bless in His Name for all time.
अम्रामका छोराहरू हारून र मोशा थिए । अति पवित्र कुराहरू अलग गर्न हारूनलाई चुनिएका थियो । तिनी र तिनका सन्तानहरूले परमप्रभुको सामु धूप चढाउनु, उहाँको सेवा गर्नु र उहाँको नाउँमा सधैं आशीर्वाद दिनुपर्थ्यो ।
14 As for Moses, the man of God, his sons are called after the tribe of Levi.
तर परमेश्वरका मानिस मोशाका छोराहरू भने लेवीकै कुलका मानिए ।
15 Sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
मोशाका छोराहरू गेर्शोम र एलीएजर थिए ।
16 Sons of Gershom: Shebuel the head.
गेर्शोमका सन्तानमा शूबाएल जेठा थिए ।
17 And sons of Eliezer are Rehabiah the head, and Eliezer had no other sons, and the sons of Rehabiah have multiplied exceedingly.
एलीएजरका सन्तान रहब्याह थिए । एलीएजरका अरू छोरा थिएनन्, तर रहब्याहका धेरै सन्तानहरू थिए ।
18 Sons of Izhar: Shelomith the head.
यिसहारका छोरा अगुवा शलोमीत थिए ।
19 Sons of Hebron: Jeriah the head, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
हेब्रोनका छोराहरू यरियाह जेठा, अमर्याह माइला, यहासेल साँइला र यकमाम कान्छ थिए ।
20 Sons of Uzziel: Micah the head, and Ishshiah the second.
उज्जीएलका छोराहरू मीका जेठा र यिशियाह माइला थिए ।
21 Sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
मरारीका छोराहरू महली र मूशी थिए । महलीका छोराहरू एलाजार र कीश थिए ।
22 And Eleazar dies, and he had no sons, but daughters, and their brothers, sons of Kish, take them.
एलाजार छोराहरू नभै मरे । तिनका छोरीहरू मात्र थिए । कीशका छोराहरूले तिनीहरूलाई विवाह गरे ।
23 Sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth—three.
मूशीका तिन छोराहरू महली, एदेर र यरीमोत थिए ।
24 These [are] sons of Levi, by the house of their fathers, heads of the fathers, by their appointments, in the number of names, by their counted heads, doing the work for the service of the house of YHWH, from a son of twenty years and upward,
आ-आफ्ना वंशअनुसार लेवीका सन्तानहरू यी नै थिए । परमप्रभुको भवनमा सेवाको काम गर्ने वंशका नामअनुसार गनिएका र सूचिकृत गरिएका बीस वर्ष र त्योभन्दा बढी उमेरका अगुवाहरू तिनीहरू थिए ।
25 for David said, “YHWH, God of Israel, has given rest to His people, and He dwells in Jerusalem for all time”;
किनकि दाऊदले भने, “परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वरले आफ्नो मानिसहरूलाई आराम दिनुभएको छ । उहाँले सदासर्वदाको निम्ति यरूशलेममा आफ्नो मन्दिर बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
26 and also of the Levites, “None [are] to carry the Dwelling Place and all its vessels for its service”;
लेवीहरूले फेरि कहिल्यै पवित्र वासस्थान अथवा त्यसको सेवामा प्रयोग गरिने भाँडाहरू बोक्नुपर्दैन ।”
27 for by the last words of David they [took] the number of the sons of Levi from a son of twenty years and upward,
किनकि दाऊदका अन्तिम वचनद्वारा बीस वर्ष र त्यसभन्दा बढी उमेरका लेवीहरूको सङ्ख्या गनिए ।
28 for their station [is] at the side of the sons of Aaron, for the service of the house of YHWH, over the courts, and over the chambers, and over the cleansing of every holy thing, and the work of the service of the house of God,
तिनीहरूको काम परमप्रभुका मन्दिरको सेवामा हारूनका सन्तानहरूलाई सघाउनुपर्ने थियो । तिनीहरूले चोक र कोठाहरूको रेखदेख गर्नुपर्ने, परमप्रभुका सबै पवित्र थोकहरू शुद्ध पार्नुपर्ने, र परमेश्वरका मन्दिरका सेवामा अरू काम गर्नुपर्ने थियो ।
29 and for the bread of the arrangement, and for fine flour for present, and for the thin unleavened cakes, and for [the work of] the pan, and for that which is stirred, and for all [liquid] measure and [solid] measure;
उपस्थितिको रोटी, अन्नबलिको मसिनो पीठो, पातला अखमिरी रोटी, पोलेका र तेलमा पकाएका भेटीहरूको हेरविचार गर्नुपर्ने, अनि विभिन्न कुराहरू नाप्नको निम्ति ढक र तराजू तयार गर्नुपर्ने जिम्मा पनि तिनीहरूको थियो ।
30 and to stand, morning by morning, to give thanks, and to give praise to YHWH, and so at evening;
हरेक बिहान परमप्रभुलाई धन्यवाद दिन र प्रशंसा चढाउन पनि तिनीहरू खडा हुन्थे । तिनीहरूले बेलुका,
31 and for all the burnt-offerings—burnt-offerings to YHWH for Sabbaths, for new moons, and for appointed times, by number, according to the ordinance on them continually, before YHWH.
र शबाथ र औंसीका चाडमा र चाडका दिनहरूमा परमप्रभुको निम्ति होमबलि चढाउने बेलामा पनि यसै गरे । तोकिएको संख्यामा नियमअनुसार जिम्मा दिइएकाहरू परमप्रभुको सामु उपस्थित हुनुपर्थ्यो ।
32 And they have kept the charge of the Tent of Meeting, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of their brothers, the sons of Aaron, for the service of the house of YHWH.
तिनीहरूको जिम्मामा भेट हुने पाल र पवित्रस्थान थिए, र आफ्ना आफन्त हारूनका सन्तानहरूलाई परमप्रभुका मन्दिरको सेवामा सहयोग गर्थे ।
