1 Chronicles 22
1 And David says, “This is the house of YHWH God, and this [is] the altar for burnt-offering for Israel.”
Entonces David dijo: “Esta es la casa de Yahvé Dios, y este es el altar del holocausto para Israel”.
2 And David says to gather the sojourners who [are] in the land of Israel, and appoints hewers to hew hewn-stones to build a house of God.
David dio órdenes de reunir a los extranjeros que estaban en la tierra de Israel, y puso a los albañiles a cortar piedras labradas para construir la casa de Dios.
3 And David has prepared iron in abundance for nails for leaves of the gates and for couplings, and bronze in abundance—there is no weighing,
David preparó hierro en abundancia para los clavos de las puertas y para los enganches, y bronce en abundancia sin peso,
4 and cedar-trees without number, for the Zidonians and the Tyrians brought in cedar-trees in abundance to David.
y cedros en abundancia, porque los sidonios y la gente de Tiro le trajeron cedros en abundancia a David.
5 And David says, “My son Solomon [is] a youth and tender, and the house to be built for YHWH [is] to be made exceedingly great, for renown and for beauty to all the lands; now let me prepare for it”; and David prepares in abundance before his death.
David dijo: “Salomón, mi hijo, es joven y tierno, y la casa que se va a construir para Yahvé debe ser sumamente magnífica, de fama y de gloria en todos los países. Por lo tanto, haré los preparativos para ello”. Así que David se preparó abundantemente antes de su muerte.
6 And he calls for his son Solomon, and charges him to build a house for YHWH, God of Israel,
Luego llamó a su hijo Salomón y le ordenó que construyera una casa para Yahvé, el Dios de Israel.
7 and David says to his son Solomon, “As for me, it has been with my heart to build a house for the Name of my God YHWH,
David le dijo a su hijo Salomón: “En cuanto a mí, tenía en mi corazón construir una casa al nombre de Yahvé, mi Dios.
8 and the word of YHWH [is] against me, saying, You have shed blood in abundance, and you have made great wars; you do not build a house for My Name, for you have shed much blood to the earth before Me.
Pero vino a mí la palabra de Yahvé, diciendo: ‘Has derramado mucha sangre y has hecho grandes guerras. No construirás una casa a mi nombre, porque has derramado mucha sangre en la tierra a mis ojos.
9 Behold, a son is born to you; he is a man of rest, and I have given rest to him from all his surrounding enemies, for Solomon is his name, and I give peace and quietness to Israel in his days;
He aquí que te nacerá un hijo, que será un hombre de paz. Le daré descanso de todos sus enemigos alrededor; porque su nombre será Salomón, y daré paz y tranquilidad a Israel en sus días.
10 he builds a house for My Name, and he is to Me for a son, and I [am] to him for a father, and I have established the throne of his kingdom over Israel for all time.
Él edificará una casa a mi nombre, y él será mi hijo, y yo seré su padre; y estableceré el trono de su reino sobre Israel para siempre.’
11 Now my son, YHWH is with you, and you have prospered, and have built the house of your God YHWH, as He spoke concerning you.
Ahora, hijo mío, que el Señor te acompañe y te haga prosperar, y que construyas la casa del Señor, tu Dios, como él ha hablado de ti.
12 Only, may YHWH give wisdom and understanding to you, and charge you concerning Israel, even to keep the Law of your God YHWH;
Que Yahvé te dé discreción y entendimiento, y te ponga al frente de Israel, para que cumplas la ley de Yahvé vuestro Dios.
13 then you prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the judgments that YHWH charged Moses with concerning Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.
Entonces prosperarás, si cumples con los estatutos y las ordenanzas que el Señor le dio a Moisés acerca de Israel. Sé fuerte y valiente. No tengas miedo ni te desanimes.
14 And behold, in my affliction I have prepared for the house of YHWH one hundred thousand talents of gold, and one million talents of silver; and of bronze and of iron there is no weighing, for it has been in abundance; and I have prepared wood and stones, and you add to them.
Ahora bien, he aquí que en mi aflicción he preparado para la casa de Yahvé cien mil talentos de oro, un millón de talentos de plata, y bronce y hierro sin peso, pues hay en abundancia. También he preparado madera y piedra; y tú puedes añadirlas.
15 And with you in abundance [are] workmen, hewers and craftsmen of stone and of wood, and every skillful man for every work.
También hay con vosotros obreros en abundancia — cortadores y trabajadores de la piedra y de la madera, y toda clase de hombres hábiles en toda clase de trabajos;
16 Of the gold, of the silver, and of the bronze, and of the iron, there is no number; arise and do, and YHWH is with you.”
del oro, de la plata, del bronce y del hierro, no hay número. Levantaos y haced, y que el Señor esté con vosotros”.
17 And David gives charge to all heads of Israel to give help to his son Solomon, [saying],
David también ordenó a todos los príncipes de Israel que ayudaran a su hijo Salomón, diciendo:
18 “Is your God YHWH not with you? Indeed, He has given rest to you all around, for He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land has been subdued before His people.
“¿No está Yahvé, tu Dios, contigo? ¿No te ha dado descanso por todos lados? Porque él ha entregado a los habitantes de la tierra en mi mano; y la tierra está sometida ante el Señor y ante su pueblo.
19 Now give your heart and your soul to seek for your God YHWH, and rise and build the sanctuary of YHWH God, to bring in the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH, and the holy vessels of God, to the house that is built for the Name of YHWH.”
Ahora pon tu corazón y tu alma para seguir a Yahvé, tu Dios. Levántate, pues, y construye el santuario de Yahvé Dios, para llevar el arca de la alianza de Yahvé y los utensilios sagrados de Dios a la casa que se va a construir para el nombre de Yahvé.”
