1 Chronicles 18
1 And it comes to pass after this, that David strikes the Philistines, and humbles them, and takes Gath and its small towns out of the hand of the Philistines;
কালক্রমে, দাউদ ফিলিস্তিনীদের পরাজিত করলেন ও তাদের বশীভূতও করলেন, এবং তিনি ফিলিস্তিনীদের হাত থেকে গাৎ ও সেটির চারপাশের গ্রামগুলি ছিনিয়ে নিয়েছিলেন।
2 and he strikes Moab, and the Moabites are servants to David, bringing a present.
দাউদ মোয়াবীয়দেরও পরাজিত করলেন, এবং তারা তাঁর অধীনে এসে তাঁর কাছে কর নিয়ে এসেছিল।
3 And David strikes Hadarezer king of Zobah, at Hamath, in his going to establish his power by the Euphrates River,
এছাড়াও, সোবার রাজা হদদেষর যখন ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর কাছে তাঁর মিনারটি খাড়া করতে গেলেন, তখন হমাৎ অঞ্চলে দাউদ তাঁকেও পরাজিত করলেন।
4 and David captures from him one thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David utterly destroys all the chariots, and leaves of them [only] one hundred chariots.
দাউদ তাঁর 1,000 রথ, 7,000 অশ্বারোহী ও 20,000 পদাতিক সৈন্য দখল করলেন। রথের সঙ্গে জুড়ে থাকা 100-টি ঘোড়া বাদ দিয়ে বাকি সব ঘোড়ার পায়ের শিরা কেটে তিনি সেগুলিকে খঞ্জ করে দিলেন।
5 And Aram of Damascus comes to give help to Hadarezer king of Zobah, and David strikes twenty-two thousand men in Aram,
দামাস্কাসের অরামীয়রা যখন সোবার রাজা হদদেষরকে সাহায্য করতে এসেছিল, তখন দাউদ তাদের মধ্যে বাইশ হাজার জনকে যন্ত্রণা করে ফেলে দিলেন।
6 and David puts [garrisons] in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans are for servants to David, carrying a present, and YHWH gives salvation to David wherever he has gone.
তিনি দামাস্কাসের অরামীয় রাজ্যে সৈন্যদল মোতায়েন করে দিলেন, এবং অরামীয়রা তাঁর বশীভূত হয়ে রাজকর নিয়ে এসেছিল। দাউদ যেখানে যেখানে গেলেন, সদাপ্রভু সেখানে সেখানে তাঁকে বিজয়ী করলেন।
7 And David takes the shields of gold that have been on the servants of Hadarezer, and brings them to Jerusalem;
হদদেষরের কর্মকর্তারা সোনার যে ঢালগুলি বহন করত, দাউদ সেগুলি দখল করে জেরুশালেমে নিয়ে এলেন।
8 and from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, David has taken very much bronze; with it Solomon has made the bronze sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of bronze.
হদদেষরের অধিকারে থাকা দুটি নগর তেভা ও কূন থেকে দাউদ প্রচুর পরিমাণে ব্রোঞ্জ নিয়ে এলেন, যেগুলি শলোমন ব্রোঞ্জের সমুদ্রপাত্র, বেশ কয়েকটি থাম ও ব্রোঞ্জের বিভিন্ন ধরনের জিনিসপত্র তৈরি করার কাজে ব্যবহার করলেন।
9 And Tou king of Hamath hears that David has struck the whole force of Hadarezer king of Zobah,
হমাতের রাজা তোয়ু যখন শুনেছিলেন যে দাউদ সোবার রাজা হদদেষরের সম্পূর্ণ সৈন্যদলকে পরাজিত করেছেন,
10 and he sends his son Hadoram to King David, to ask of him of peace, and to bless him, because that he has fought against Hadarezer and strikes him (for Hadarezer had been a man of wars with Tou); and [with him were] all kinds of vessels, of gold, and silver, and bronze;
তখন হদদেষরের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধজয়ের শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন জানানোর জন্য তিনি দাউদের কাছে তাঁর ছেলে হদোরামকে পাঠিয়ে দিলেন, কারণ হদদেষরের সাথে তোয়ুর প্রায়ই যুদ্ধ হত। হদোরাম সোনা, রুপো ও ব্রোঞ্জের বিভিন্ন ধরনের জিনিসপত্র নিয়ে এলেন।
11 King David has also sanctified them to YHWH with the silver and the gold that he has taken from all the nations, from Edom, and from Moab, and from the sons of Ammon, and from the Philistines, and from Amalek.
রাজা দাউদ এইসব জিনিসপত্র সদাপ্রভুর উদ্দেশে উৎসর্গ করে দিলেন, ঠিক যেভাবে ইদোম ও মোয়াব, অম্মোনীয় ও ফিলিস্তিনী এবং অমালেক: এইসব জাতির কাছ থেকে আনা সোনা ও রুপো তিনি উৎসর্গ করে দিলেন।
12 And Abishai son of Zeruiah has struck Edom in the Valley of Salt—eighteen thousand,
সরূয়ার ছেলে অবীশয় লবণ উপত্যকায় আঠারো হাজার ইদোমীয়কে মেরে ফেলেছিলেন।
13 and he puts garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites are servants to David; and YHWH saves David wherever he has gone.
তিনি ইদোম দেশে সৈন্যদল মোতায়েন করে দিলেন, ও ইদোমীয়রা সবাই দাউদের বশীভূত হল। দাউদ যেখানে যেখানে গেলেন, সদাপ্রভু সেখানে সেখানে তাঁকে বিজয়ী করলেন।
14 And David reigns over all Israel, and he is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,
দাউদ সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলের উপর রাজত্ব করলেন, ও তাঁর সব প্রজার জন্য যা যা ন্যায্য ও উপযুক্ত ছিল, তিনি তাই করতেন।
15 and Joab son of Zeruiah [is] over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer,
সরূয়ার ছেলে যোয়াব সৈন্যদলের প্রধান সেনাপতি ছিলেন; অহীলূদের ছেলে যিহোশাফট ছিলেন লিপিকার;
16 and Zadok son of Ahitub and Abimelech son of Abiathar [are] priests, and Shavsha [is] scribe,
অহীটূবের ছেলে সাদোক ও অবিয়াথরের ছেলে অহীমেলক ছিলেন যাজক; শবশ ছিলেন সচিব;
17 and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is] over the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the chief sons of David [are] at the hand of the king.
যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায় করেথীয় ও পলেথীয়দের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক ছিলেন; এবং দাউদের ছেলেরা রাজার প্রধান সহকারী ছিলেন।
