< 1 Chronicles 14 >

1 And Huram king of Tyre sends messengers to David, and cedar-wood, and craftsmen of walls, and craftsmen of wood, to build a house for him.
Azɔ la, Hiram, Tiro fia dɔ dɔlawo ɖo ɖe David. Etsɔ sedatiwo, gliɖolawo kple atikpalawo kpe ɖe wo ŋuti be woatu fiasã nɛ.
2 And David knows that YHWH has established him for king over Israel, because of the lifting up on high of his kingdom, for the sake of His people Israel.
Azɔ David nya nu si ta Mawu ɖoe fiae na Israel eye wòna eƒe fiaɖuƒe keke ta. Nu tɔxɛ aɖe tae, eyae nye be wòado dzidzɔ na Mawu ƒe amewo.
3 And David takes wives again in Jerusalem, and David begets sons and daughters again;
Esi David ʋu yi Yerusalem la, egaɖe srɔ̃ aɖewo eye wòdzi viŋutsu kple vinyɔnu geɖewo.
4 and these [are] the names of the children whom he has in Jerusalem: Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,
Vi siwo wodzi na Fia David le Yerusalem la ƒe ŋkɔwoe nye: Samua, Sobab, Natan, Solomo,
5 and Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,
Ibhar, Elisua, Elpelet,
6 and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,
Noga, Nefeg, Yafia,
7 and Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.
Elisama, Beeliada kple Elifelet.
8 And the Philistines hear that David has been anointed for king over all Israel, and all the Philistines go up to seek David, and David hears, and goes out before them.
Esi Filistitɔwo se be David zu Israel fia yeyea la, woƒo ƒu aʋakɔ aɖe nu be yewoayi aɖalée. Ke David se be wogbɔna la, eho yi wo kpe ge.
9 And the Philistines have come, and rush into the Valley of Rephaim,
Filistitɔwo nɔ nuwo ham le Refaim balime.
10 and David asks of God, saying, “Do I go up against the Philistines—and have You given them into my hand?” And YHWH says to him, “Go up, and I have given them into your hand.”
David bia Mawu be, “Mayi aɖawɔ aʋa kpli woa? Ɖe nàtsɔ wo ade asi nama?” Yehowa ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Ɛ̃, yi, matsɔ wo ade asi na wò.”
11 And they go up into Ba‘al-Perazim, and David strikes them there, and David says, “God has broken up my enemies by my hand, like the breaking up of waters”; therefore they have called the name of that place Ba‘al-Perazim.
Ale David kple eƒe aʋakɔ la yi ɖadze Filistitɔwo dzi le Baal Perazim eye wòtsrɔ̃ wo. Egblɔ be, “Mawu to dzinye kplɔ nye futɔwo dzoe abe ale si tsi ŋɔna tso tsixaɖoƒe ene!” Esia ta wòna ŋkɔ teƒe la tso ɣe ma ɣi be, “Baal Perazim” si gɔmee nye, “Aƒetɔ si gba go.”
12 And they leave their gods there, and David commands, and they are burned with fire.
Le aʋakpekpe sia megbe la, Filistitɔwo gblẽ woƒe legbawo ɖe anyi, ke David ɖe gbe eye wotɔ dzo wo katã.
13 And the Philistines add again, and rush into the valley,
Emegbe la, Filistitɔwo gava kaka ɖe balime la me.
14 and David asks again of God, and God says to him, “Do not go up after them, turn around from them, and you have come to them from the front [[or in front]] of the mulberries;
David gabia nu si wòawɔ la Mawu eye Mawu ɖo eŋu nɛ be, “Mègaho dze wo yome me o, ke boŋ trɔ ɖa le wo ŋu eye nàva tu wo le balsamtiawo gbɔ.
15 and it comes to pass, when you hear the sound of the stepping at the heads of the mulberries, then you go out into battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.”
Ne èse gbeɖiɖi aɖe le atiawo tame abe asrafowoe le azɔli zɔm ene la, ekema nàdze wo dzi elabena esia afia be, Mawu dze ŋgɔ na wò be nàtsrɔ̃ Filistitɔwo ƒe aʋakɔwo.”
16 And David does as God commanded him, and they strike the camp of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer;
Ale David wɔ nu si Mawu ɖo nɛ eye wòsi Filistitɔwo ƒe aʋakɔ la tso keke Gibeon va se ɖe Gezer.
17 and the name of David goes out into all the lands, and YHWH has put his fear on all the nations.
David ƒe ŋkɔ de dzi le afi sia afi eye Yehowa na be dukɔwo katã navɔ̃e.
