1 Chronicles 13
1 And David consults with the heads of the thousands and of the hundreds, [and] with every leader,
A Dawid wszedł w radę z hetmanami nad tysiącami, i z setnikami, i ze wszystkimi rotmistrzami.
2 and David says to all the assembly of Israel, “If it is good to you, and it has broken forth from our God YHWH—we send to our brothers, those left in all the lands of Israel, and the priests and the Levites with them in the cities of their outskirts, and they are gathered to us,
I mówił Dawid do wszystkiego zgromadzenia Izraelkskiego: Jeźli się wam podoba, i jeźli to jest od Pana Boga naszego, roześlijmy wszędy do braci naszych pozostałych po wszystkich krainach Izraelskich; przytem też do kapłanów i Lewitów po miastach i przedmieściach ich, a niech się zgromadzą do nas:
3 and we bring around the Ark of our God to us, for we did not seek Him in the days of Saul.”
Abyśmy przeprowadzili skrzynię Boga naszego do nas; albowiem nie pytaliśmy się o niej za dni Saulowych.
4 And all the assembly says to do so, for the thing is right in the eyes of all the people.
I rzekło wszystko zgromadzenie, aby się tak stało; bo się ta rzecz podobała wszystkiemu ludowi.
5 And David assembles all Israel from Shihor of Egypt even to the entering in of Hamath, to bring in the Ark of God from Kirjath-Jearim,
Zebrał tedy Dawid wszystkiego Izraela od Nilu Egipskiego aż gdzie się chodzi do Emat, aby przyprowadzili skrzynię Bożą z Karyjatyjarym.
6 and David goes up, and all Israel, to Ba‘alah, to Kirjath-Jearim that [belongs] to Judah, to bring up from there the Ark of God, YHWH, inhabiting the cherubim, where the Name is called on.
A tak przyszedł Dawid, i wszystek Izrael do Baala w Karyjatyjarym, które jest w Judzie, aby przyprowadzili stamtąd skrzynię Pana Boga siedzącego nad Cherubinami, gdzie wzywane bywa imię jego.
7 And they place the Ark of God on a new cart from the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and Ahio are leading the cart,
I wieźli skrzynię Bożą na wozie nowym z domu Abinadabowego, a Oza i Achyjo prowadzili wóz.
8 and David and all Israel are playing before God, with all strength, and with songs, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
Lecz Dawid i wszystek Izrael grali przed Bogiem ze wszystkiej mocy, i pieśniami, i na harfach, i na cytrach, i na bębnach, i na cymbałach, i na trąbach.
9 And they come to the threshing-floor of Chidon, and Uzza puts forth his hand to seize the Ark, for the oxen were released,
A gdy przyszli na bojewisko Chydon, ściągnął Oza rękę swą, aby zadzierżał skrzynię; bo woły były wystąpiły z drogi.
10 and the anger of YHWH is kindled against Uzza, and He strikes him, because that he has put forth his hand on the Ark, and he dies there before God.
I rozgniewał się bardzo Pan na Ozę, i zabił go, przeto iż ściągnął rękę swą ku skrzyni; i umarł tamże przed Bogiem.
11 And it is displeasing to David, because YHWH has made a breach on Uzza, and one calls that place “Breach of Uzza” to this day.
I zafrasował się Dawid, iż to rozerwanie Pan uczynił w Ozie; a przetoż nazwał ono miejsce Peres Oza, aż do dnia tego.
12 And David fears God on that day, saying, “How do I bring the Ark of God to me?”
I uląkł się Dawid Boga dnia onego, a rzekł: Jakoż mam wprowadzić do siebie skrzynię Bożą?
13 And David has not turned aside the Ark to himself, to the City of David, and turns it aside to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
Przetoż nie wprowadził Dawid skrzyni do siebie, do miasta Dawidowego; ale ją wprowadził do domu Obededoma Gietejczyka.
14 And the Ark of God dwells with the household of Obed-Edom, in his house, three months, and YHWH blesses the house of Obed-Edom, and all that he has.
I została skrzynia Boża między domownikami Obededomowymi w domu jego przez trzy miesiące. I błogosławił Pan domowi Obededomowemu i wszystkiemu, co miał.
