1 Chronicles 11

1 And all Israel is gathered to David at Hebron, saying, “Behold, we [are] your bone and your flesh;

Nang magkagayo'y ang buong Israel ay nagpipisan kay David sa Hebron, na nagsasabi, Narito, kami ay iyong buto at iyong laman.

2 even in time past, even in Saul’s being king, it is you who are taking out and bringing in Israel, and your God YHWH says to you: You feed My people Israel, and you are leader over My people Israel.”

Nang mga panahong nakaraan, sa makatuwid baga'y nang si Saul ay hari, ikaw ang pumapatnubay at nagpapasok sa Israel: at sinabi sa iyo ng Panginoon mong Dios, Iyong aalagaan ang aking bayang Israel, at ikaw ay magiging pangulo ng aking bayang Israel.

3 And all [the] elderly of Israel come to the king at Hebron, and David makes a covenant with them in Hebron before YHWH, and they anoint David for king over Israel, according to the word of YHWH by the hand of Samuel.

Sa gayo'y lahat ng mga matanda sa Israel ay nagsiparoon sa hari sa Hebron; at si David ay nakipagtipan sa kanila sa Hebron sa harap ng Panginoon, at kanilang pinahiran ng langis si David na hari sa Israel, ayon sa salita ng Panginoon sa pamamagitan ni Samuel.

4 And David goes, and all Israel, to Jerusalem—it [is] Jebus—and the Jebusite [is] there, the inhabitants of the land.

At si David at ang buong Israel ay naparoon sa Jerusalem (na siyang Jebus); at ang mga Jebuseo na mga tagaroon sa lupain, ay nangandoon.

5 And the inhabitants of Jebus say to David, “You do not come in here”; and David captures the fortress of Zion—it [is] the City of David.

At sinabi ng mga taga Jebus kay David, Ikaw ay hindi makapapasok rito. Gayon ma'y sinakop ni David ang katibayan ng Sion; na siyang bayan ni David.

6 And David says, “Whoever strikes the Jebusite first becomes head and prince”; and Joab son of Zeruiah goes up first and becomes head.

At sinabi ni David, Sinomang sumakit sa mga Jebuseo na una ay magiging pinuno at kapitan. At si Joab na anak ni Sarvia ay sumampang una, at naging pinuno.

7 And David dwells in the fortress, therefore they have called it the City of David;

At si David ay tumahan sa katibayan; kaya't kanilang tinawag na bayan ni David.

8 and he builds the city all around, from Millo, and to the circumference, and Joab restores the rest of the city.

At kaniyang itinayo ang bayan sa palibot, mula sa Millo hanggang sa palibot: at hinusay ni Joab ang nalabi sa bayan.

9 And David goes, going on and becoming great, and YHWH of Hosts [is] with him.

At si David ay dumakila ng dumakila; sapagka't ang Panginoon ng mga hukbo ay sumasa kaniya.

10 And these [are] heads of the mighty ones whom David has, who are strengthening themselves with him in his kingdom, with all Israel, to cause him to reign, according to the word of YHWH, over Israel.

Ang mga ito ang mga pinuno ng mga makapangyarihang lalake na nasa kay David, na napakilala na malakas na kasama niya sa kaniyang kaharian, na kasama ng buong Israel, upang gawin siyang hari, ayon sa salita ng Panginoon tungkol sa Israel.

11 And this [is] an account of the mighty ones whom David has: Jashobeam son of a Hachmonite [is] head of the thirty; he is lifting up his spear against three hundred—wounded, at one time.

At ito ang bilang ng mga makapangyarihang lalake na nasa kay David: si Jasobam, na anak ng isang Hachmonita, na pinuno ng tatlongpu; siya ang nagtaas ng kaniyang sibat laban sa tatlong daan, at pinatay niya sila na paminsan.

12 And after him [is] Eleazar son of Dodo the Ahohite, he [is] among the three mighty;

At pagkatapos niya ay si Eleazar na anak ni Dodo, na Ahohita, na isa sa tatlong makapangyarihang lalake.

13 he has been with David in Pas-Dammim, and the Philistines have been gathered there to battle, and a portion of the field is full of barley, and the people have fled from the face of the Philistines,

Siya'y kasama ni David sa Pasdammin, at doo'y ang mga Filisteo ay nagpipisan upang bumaka, na kinaroroonan ng isang putol na lupa na puno ng sebada; at ang bayan ay tumakas sa harap ng mga Filisteo.

14 and they station themselves in the midst of the portion, and deliver it, and strike the Philistines, and YHWH saves [with] a great salvation.

At sila'y nagsitayo sa gitna ng putol na yaon at ipinagsanggalang, at pinatay ang mga Filisteo; at iniligtas ng Panginoon sila sa pamamagitan ng isang dakilang pagtatagumpay.

15 And three of the thirty heads go down on the rock to David, to the cave of Adullam, and the host of the Philistines is encamping in the Valley of Rephaim,

At binaba sa malaking bato si David ng tatlo sa tatlongpung pinuno, sa loob ng yungib ni Adullam; at ang hukbo ng mga Filisteo ay humantong sa libis ng Raphaim.

16 and David [is] then in the fortress, and the station of the Philistines [is] then in Beth-Lehem,

At si David nga ay nasa katibayan, at ang pulutong ng mga Filisteo ay nasa Bethlehem noon.

17 and David longs and says, “Who gives me water to drink from the well of Beth-Lehem that [is] at the gate!”

At si David ay nagbuntonghininga, at nagsabi, Oh may magbigay sana sa akin ng tubig sa balon ng Bethlehem na mainom, na nasa siping ng pintuang-bayan!

18 And the three break through the camp of the Philistines, and draw water from the well of Beth-Lehem that [is] at the gate, and carry and bring [it] to David, and David has not been willing to drink it, and pours it out to YHWH,

At ang tatlo'y nagsisagasa sa hukbo ng mga Filisteo, at nagsiigib ng tubig sa balon ng Bethlehem na nasa siping ng pintuang-bayan, at kinuha at dinala kay David: nguni't hindi ininom ni David yaon, kundi ibinuhos na pinakainuming handog sa Panginoon.

19 and says, “Far be it from me, by my God, to do this; do I drink the blood of these men with their lives? For with their lives they have brought it”; and he was not willing to drink it; these [things] the three mighty ones did.

At sinabi, Huwag itulot sa akin ng aking Dios na aking gawin ito; iinumin ko ba ang dugo ng mga lalaking ito na ipinain ang kanilang buhay sa pagkamatay? sapagka't sa pagpapain ng kanilang mga buhay ay kanilang dinala. Kaya't hindi niya ininom. Ang mga bagay na ito ay ginawa ng tatlong makapangyarihang lalake.

20 And Abishai brother of Joab, he has been head of the three: and he is lifting up his spear against three hundred—wounded, and has a name among three.

At si Abisai na kapatid ni Joab, siyang pinuno ng tatlo: sapagka't kaniyang itinaas ang kaniyang sibat laban sa tatlong daan, at pinatay niya sila, at nagkaroon ng pangalan sa tatlo.

21 Of the three he is more honored than the [other] two, and becomes their head; but he has not come to the [first] three.

Sa tatlo, siya'y lalong marangal kay sa dalawa, at ginawang kanilang pinunong kawal: gayon ma'y hindi siya umabot sa unang tatlo.

22 Benaiah son of Jehoiada, son of a man of valor, of great deeds, from Kabzeel: he has struck the two lion-like Moabites, and he has gone down and struck the lion in the midst of the pit, in the day of snow.

Si Benaias na anak ni Joiada, na anak ng isang matapang na lalake sa Cabseel, na gumawa ng mga makapangyarihang gawa, ay kaniyang pinatay ang dalawang anak ni Ariel na taga Moab: siya'y bumaba rin naman at pumatay ng isang leon sa gitna ng isang hukay sa panahon ng niebe.

23 And he has struck the man, the Egyptian, a man of [great] measure—five by the cubit—and in the hand of the Egyptian [is] a spear like a weavers’ beam, and he goes down to him with a rod, and violently takes away the spear out of the hand of the Egyptian, and slays him with his own spear.

At siya'y pumatay ng isang taga Egipto, na isang lalaking may malaking bulas, na limang siko ang taas; at sa kamay ng taga Egipto ay may isang sibat na gaya ng panghabi ng manghahabi; at binaba niya siya na may isang tungkod, at inagaw ang sibat sa kamay ng taga Egipto, at pinatay niya siya ng kaniyang sariling sibat.

24 These [things] Benaiah son of Jehoiada has done, and has a name among the three mighty ones.

Ang mga bagay na ito ay ginawa ni Benaias na anak ni Joiada, at nagkapangalan sa tatlong makapangyarihang lalake.

25 Of the thirty, behold, he [is] honored, but he has not come to the [first] three, and David sets him over his guard.

Narito, siya'y lalong marangal kay sa tatlongpu, nguni't hindi siya umabot sa unang tatlo: at inilagay ni David sa kaniya na bantay.

26 And the mighty ones of the forces [are] Asahel brother of Joab, Elhanan son of Dodo of Beth-Lehem,

Ang mga makapangyarihang lalake naman sa mga hukbo; si Asael na kapatid ni Joab, si Elchanan na anak ni Dodo na taga Bethlehem:

27 Shammoth the Harorite, Helez the Pelonite,

Si Samoth na Arorita, si Helles na Pelonita;

28 Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite, Abi-Ezer the Annethothite,

Si Ira na anak ni Acces na Tecoita, si Abiezer na Anathothita;

29 Sibbecai the Hushathite, Ilai the Ahohite,

Si Sibbecai na Husatita, si Ilai na Ahohita;

30 Maharai the Netophathite, Heled son of Baanah the Netophathite,

Si Maharai na Nethophatita, si Heled na anak ni Baana na Nethophatita;

31 Ithai son of Ribai of Gibeah, of the sons of Benjamin, Benaiah the Pirathonite,

32 Hurai of the brooks of Gaash, Abiel the Arbathite,

34 the sons of Hashem the Gizonite, Jonathan son of Shage the Hararite,

35 Ahiam son of Sacar the Hararite, Eliphal son of Ur,

38 Joel brother of Nathan, Mibhar son of Haggeri,

39 Zelek the Ammonite, Naharai the Berothite, bearer of the weapons of Joab son of Zeruiah,

45 Jediael son of Shimri, and his brother Joha the Tizite,

46 Eliel the Mahavite, and Jeribai, and Joshaviah, sons of Elnaam, and Ithmah the Moabite,

Si Eliel na Mahavita, at si Jeribai, at si Josabias na mga anak ni Elnaam, at si Ithma na Moabita;

47 Eliel, and Obed, and Jaasiel the Mesobaite.

Si Eliel, at si Obed, at si Jaasiel, na taga Mesobiata.
