Zephaniah 2
1 Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation without desire [for repentance];
Paghiusa ug pagtigom gayod kamo, walay ulaw nga nasod—
2 Before the decree is brought forth—like the chaff the day passeth away—before yet there be come over you the fierce anger of the Lord, before yet there be come over you the day of the anger of the Lord.
sa dili pa mahitabo ang gimando kanang adlaw molabay sama sa tahop, sa dili pa moabot ang hilabihan nga kasuko ni Yahweh diha kaninyo, sa dili pa moabot ang adlaw sa kaligutgot ni Yahweh diha kaninyo.
3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, who have fulfilled his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: perhaps ye will be protected on the day of the Lord's anger.
Pangitaa si Yahweh, kamong tanang mapaubsanon nga katawhan sa kalibotan nga nagtuman sa iyang mga mando! Pagmatarong kamo. Pagmapaubsanon, ug tingali niana nga paagi mapanalipdan kamo sa adlaw sa kasuko ni Yahweh.
4 For Gazzah shall become forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolate place: Ashdod shall they drive out at the noon of day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
Tungod kay ang Gaza pagabiyaan gayod, ug ang Ashkelon maguba. Sa udtong tutok papahawaon nila ang Ashdod, ug paga-ibton nila ang Ekron!
5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the district by the sea, the nation of the Kerethites! the word of the Lord is against you, O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that no inhabitant shall remain.
Pagkaalaot sa mga lumulupyo sa kabaybayonan, ang nasod sa Keretihanon! Nagsulti si Yahweh batok kanimo, Canaan, nga yuta sa mga Filistihanon. Laglagon ko ikaw hangtod nga mahurot kamo.
6 And the district by the sea shall become places for pens of shepherds, and folds for flocks.
Busa ang mga kabaybayonan mahimong pasibsibanan alang sa magbalantay sa mga karnero ug ranso sa mga karnero.
7 And this district shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; thereupon shall they feed their flocks: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for the Lord their God will think of them, and bring back their captivity.
Ang mga baybayon sa rehiyon mahisakop sa mga nahibilin sa panimalay ni Juda, nga maoy magbantay sa ilang mga karnero didto. mangatulog ang ilang mga katawhan didto panahon sa kagabhion sa mga balay sa Ashkelon, kay si Yahweh man nga ilang Dios maoy nag-atiman kanila ug magpasig-uli sa ilang mga bahandi.
8 I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of 'Ammon, wherewith they have reproached my people, and made themselves great against their border.
Nadungog ko ang pagbiaybiay sa Moab ug ang pagyubit sa katawhan sa Amon sa dihang gibiaybiay nila ang akong katawhan ug gidaot ang ilang mga utlanan.
9 Therefore as I live, saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall become like Sodom, and the children of 'Ammon like Gomorrah, overgrown with nettles, and [filled with] salt-pits, and a desolation to eternity; the residue of my people shall plunder them, and the remnant of my nation shall possess them.
Busa, ingon nga ako buhi— mao kini ang gipamulong ni Yahweh nga pangulo sa mga kasundalohang anghel, ang Dios sa Israel, — Himuon ko nga ang Moab mahisama sa Sodoma, ug ang katawhan sa Amon mahisama sa Gomora; ang dapit sa mga sampinit ug bung-aw nga asin, ug mahimong mingaw hangtod sa hangtod. Apan pang-ilugon sa nahibilin kong katawhan ang ilang mga kabtangan, ug ang salin sa akong nasod maoy magapanag-iya kanila.”
10 This shall they have in recompense for their pride; because they have reproached and made themselves great against the people of the Lord of hosts.
Mahitabo kini sa Moab ug Amon tungod sa ilang garbo, tungod kay gitamay ug gibiaybiay man nila ang katawhan ni Yahweh nga pangulo sa mga kasundalohang anghel.
11 Terrible will the Lord [appear] over them; for he will cause to vanish all the gods of the earth; and then shall prostrate themselves before him, every one from its place, all the isles of the nations.
Unya mahadlok sila kang Yahweh, kay pagatamayon man niya ang tanan nga mga diosdios sa kalibotan. Ug ang matag-usa mosimba kaniya, ang matag-usa nga gikan sa iyang dapit, ug gikan sa matag baybayon.
12 Also ye Ethiopians shall be those slain by my sword.
Kamo usab nga mga Cushihanon mangamatay pinaagi sa akong espada,
13 And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and he will make Nineveh a desolate place, dry, like the wilderness.
ug sulongon sa Dios ang amihang bahin sa Asiria ug laglagon, aron nga mahimong biniyaan ug pinasagdan ang Nineve, ingon nga uga sama sa desyerto.
14 And there shall lie down in the midst of her flocks, all the beasts of the nations; both the pelican and the hedgehog shall lodge in the capitals of her columns; singing-birds shall sing in the windows; ruin shall be on the thresholds; for the cedar wainscoting shall be torn away.
Unya didto magapanghingda ang mga mananap, ang matag mananap sa mga kanasoran, bisan ang kuwago ug ang ngewngew nga gikan sa desyerto mobatog ibabaw sa mga haligi niini. Ang singgit sa awit magagikan sa mga bintana; ang tinumpag maanaa sa mga agianan sa pultahan; ang sidro nga kahoy nga iyang sagbayan makita.
15 This is the joyful city that dwelt in security, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none else beside me: how is she become desolate, a resting-place for beasts! every one that passeth by her will hiss, and shake his hand.
Kini nga siyudad walay kahadlok ug tinuboy sa iyang kaugalingon, nga nag-ingon, “Kanako, walay makatupong.” Nganong nahimo man siyang makahahadlok, ang dapit nga puy-anan sa mga mapintas nga mananap. Ang matag usa nga moagi kaniya magpangsitsit ug magpangumo kaniya.
