Zechariah 9
1 The prophecy of the word of the Lord concerning the land of Chadrach, and Damascus his resting-place; for unto the Lord [will look] the eye of men, and [that of] all the tribes of Israel;
Brzemię słowa Pańskiego przeciwko ziemi, która jest w około ciebie, a Damaszek będzie odpocznieniem jego; albowiem oko Pańskie przypatruje się ludziom i wszystkim pokoleniom Izraelskim;
2 And also concerning Chamath that is bordering thereon, Tyre, and Zidon, though it be very wise.
Nawet i do Emat dosięże, i do Tyru i do Sydonu, choć jest mądry bardzo.
3 And though Tyre have built herself a strong-hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets:
Bo sobie Tyr obronę zbudował, i nazbierał srebra jako prochu, a złota jako błota po ulicach.
4 Behold, the Lord will drive her out, and he will strike down her power into the sea; and she herself shall be devoured with fire.
Oto Pan go wypędzi, a wrazi w morze siłę jego, a sam od ognia pożarty będzie.
5 Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gazzah also, and tremble greatly: and 'Ekron, for her trust will be made ashamed: and the king shall vanish from Gazzah, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
Co widząc Aszkalon, ulęknie się, także Gaza wielce żałośne będzie, i Akaron, przeto, że je zawstydziła nadzieja ich; i zginie król z Gazy, a Aszkalon nie będzie osadzone;
6 And aliens shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
I będzie mieszkał bękart w Azocie, a tak wykorzenię pychę Filistyńczyków.
7 And I will remove their bloody [-sacrifices] out of their mouth, and their abominations from between their teeth; and their land also shall be left for our God, and it shall be as a prince's [dwelling] in Judah, and 'Ekron shall be like Jebusi.
I odejmę krew każdego od ust jego, i obrzydliwości jego od zębów jego; zostawiony też będzie i on Bogu naszemu, aby był jako książę w Judzie, a Akaron jako Jebuzejczycy.
8 And I will encamp about my house against armies, against those that pass to and fro, and there shall not pass over them any more an oppressor; for now do I look [on them] with my eyes.
I położę się obozem u domu swego dla wojska, i dla przechodzącego a wracającego się; i nie przejdzie więcej przez nich łupieżca, przeto, że się tak teraz podoba w oczach moich.
9 Be greatly glad, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! behold, thy King will come unto thee, righteous and victorious is he, lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of a she-ass.
Wesel się bardzo, córko Syońska! wykrzykaj, córko Jeruzalemska! Oto król twój przyjdzie tobie sprawiedliwy i zbawiciel ubogi i siedzący na ośle, to jest, na oślęciu, źrebiątku oślicy.
10 And I will cut off chariots from Ephraim, and horses from Jerusalem, and there shall be cut off the battle-bow, and he shall speak peace unto the nations; and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.
Bo wytracę wozy z Efraima, i konie z Jeruzalemu, i będzie połamany łuk wojenny; i ogłosi pokój narodom, a władza jego (będzie) od morza aż do morza, i od rzeki aż do kończyn ziemi.
11 As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant, do I send forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein there is no water.
Owszem, ty wesel się dla krwi przymierza swego; albowiem wypuściłem więźniów twoich z dołu, w którym niemasz wody.
12 Return you to the strong-hold, ye hopeful prisoners: even today do I declare, that I will recompense twofold [good] unto thee.
Wróćcież się tedy do twierdzy, o więźniowie, którzy nadzieję macie! albowiemci i dziś dwojako opowiadam i nagrodzę.
13 For I do bend Judah for me, grasp Ephraim [as] a bow; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Javan, and I will render thee as the sword of a mighty man.
Gdyż sobie naciągnę Judę, a łuk napełnię Efraimem; i wzbudzę synów twoich, o Syonie! przeciwko synom twoim, o Jawanie! i zgotuję cię jako miecz mocarza.
14 And the Lord will appear over them, and then will go forth like the lightning his arrow: and the Lord Eternal will blow on the cornet, and he will go along in the tempests of the south.
Bo się Pan ukaże przeciwko nim, a jako blask wyniknie strzała jego; panujący, mówię, Pan zatrąbi w trąbę, a pójdzie w wichrach południowych.
15 The Lord of hosts will be a shield over them; and they shall devour [the prey], and subdue the sling-stones; and they shall drink, make a noise as one [drunken with] wine; and they shall be filled like the offering-bowls, like the corners of the altar.
Pan zastępów ochraniać będzie lud swój, aby podbiwszy sobie kamienie z procy, jedli i pili wykrzykając jako od wina; i napełnią, jako miednice, tak i rogi ołtarza.
16 And the Lord their God will save them on that day as the flock of his people; for [like] the stones of a crown, will they elevate themselves over his land.
A tak wybawi ich dnia onego Pan, Bóg ich, jako trzodę ludu swego; bo kamienie wieńcami ozdobione, wystawione będą miasto chorągwi w ziemi jego.
17 For how great will be [that generation's] happiness, and how great its beauty! corn shall make the young men sing joyfully, and new wine the virgins.
Albowiem oto o jakie błogosławieństwo jego! i jako wielka ozdoba jego! Zboże młodzieńców, a moszcz panny mowne uczyni.
