Zechariah 7
1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius that the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, in Kislev;
Sa ikaupat nga tuig nga paghari ni Haring Darius, sa ikaupat nga adlaw sa Kislev (ikasiyam kini nga bulan), miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh kang Zacarias.
2 When they had sent unto Beth-el Sherezer and Regem-melech, and his men, to make entreaty before the Lord.
Gipadala sa katawhan sa Betel si Sharezer ug si Regem Melec ug ang ilang mga kalalakin-an aron sa pagpakilouy sa atubangan ni Yahweh.
3 [And] to say unto the priests who were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Shall I weep in the fifth month with abstinence, as I have done already these many years?
Nakigsulti sila sa mga pari nga anaa sa balay ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom ug sa mga propeta; miingon sila, “Magbangotan ba kami sa ikalimang bulan pinaagi sa pagpuasa, sama sa among gibuhat sa daghang mga katuigan?”
4 Then came the word of the Lord of hosts unto me, saying,
Busa miabot kanako ang pulong ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, nga nag-ingon,
5 Say unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, as followeth, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and in the seventh [month], already these seventy years, did ye in anywise fast for me, yea, for me?
“Pakigsulti sa tanang katawhan sa yuta ug sa mga pari ug pag-ingon, “Sa dihang nagpuasa ug nagsubo kamo sa ikalima ug sa ikapitong bulan sulod sa 70 ka katuigan, tinud-anay ba kamo nga nagpuasa alang kanako?
6 And if ye do eat, and if ye do drink, are ye not yourselves those that eat, and yourselves those that drink?
Sa dihang mikaon ug miinom kamo, wala ba kamo nagkaon ug nag-inom alang sa inyong kaugalingon?
7 Are not these the words which the Lord hath proclaimed by means of the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, with her cities round about her, when [men] inhabited the south, and the lowlands?
Dili ba sama man niini nga mga pulong ang gipamulong ni Yahweh pinaagi sa baba sa kanhing mga propeta, sa dihang namuyo pa kamo nga mauswagon didto sa Jerusalem ug sa kasikbit nga mga siyudad ug namuyo sa Negev, ug sa tiilan sa mga bungtod didto sa kasadpan?”
8 And the word of the Lord came unto Zechariah, saying,
Miabot ang pulong ni Yahweh kang Zacarias, nga nag-ingon,
9 Thus hath said the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true justice, and show kindness and mercy every man to his brother;
“Miingon niini si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, 'Paghukom uban sa matuod nga hustisya, sa kasabotan sa pagkamatinud-anon, ug sa kaluoy. Ipabuhat kini sa matag tawo ngadto sa iyang igsoon.
10 And defraud not the widow, or the fatherless, the stranger, or the poor; and imagine not evil in your heart one against the other.
Ang biyuda ug ilo, ang langyaw, ug ang tawong kabos—ayaw sila daugdaoga, ug ayaw tugoti ang bisan kinsa kaninyo nga maglaraw ug daotan sulod sa inyong kasingkasing batok sa uban.'
11 But they refused to listen, and turned away rebelliously the shoulder, and stopped their ears, so as not to hear;
Apan nagdumili sila sa pagpaminaw ug nagmagahi sa ilang mga abaga. Gisampongan nila ang ilang mga dalunggan aron nga dili sila makadungog.
12 And their heart they rendered as an adamant, so as not to hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent through his spirit, by means of the former prophets: wherefore came a great anger from the Lord of hosts.
Gipagahi nila ang ilang mga kasingkasing sama sa bato aron nga dili nila madungog ang balaod o ang mga pulong ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom. Gipadala niya kini nga mga mensahe ngadto sa katawhan pinaagi sa iyang Espiritu kaniadto, pinaagi sa baba sa mga propeta. Apan nagdumili sa pagpaminaw ang katawhan, busa nasuko pag-ayo kanila si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom.
13 And it is come to pass, that as he proclaimed, and they would not hear: so had they to call, and I would not hear, saith the Lord of hosts;
Nahitabo kini sa dihang mitawag siya, wala sila namati. Sa sama usab nga paagi,” miingon si Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom, “Mosangpit sila kanako apan dili ako mamati.
14 And I resolved to scatter them with a storm-wind among all the nations that they had not known; and the land was left desolate after them, without any one to pass through it forward or backward; and the pleasant land have they changed into a desert.
Tungod kay katagon ko sila pinaagi sa alimpulos ngadto sa tanang kanasoran nga wala pa nila nakita, ug mahimong biniyaan ang yuta. Tungod kay walay moagi sa yuta o mobalik niini tungod kay gihimong biniyaang yuta sa katawhan ang maanindot nga yuta.”
