< Zechariah 4 >

1 And the angel that spoke with me came back again, and waked me up, as a man that is wakened up out of his sleep;
Te phoeiah kai taengah aka cal puencawn ha mael tih a ih lamloh aka haenghang hlang bangla kai n'haeng.
2 And he said unto me, What art thou seeing? And I said, I have looked, and behold, there is a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon its top, and its seven lamps are thereupon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon its top:
Te vaengah kai te, “Balae na hmuh,” a ti. Te dongah ka voek tih, “Ka sawt vaengah, a pum la sui hmaitung neh a soi ah tuidueh om. A hmaithoi parhih te a soah parhih la om. A soi kah hmaithoi te tuicawn parhih om.
3 And two olive-trees are by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
A taengkah olive rhoi khaw tuidueh kah bantang ah pakhat a banvoei ah pakhat pai ke,” ka ti nah.
4 And I commenced and said unto the angel that spoke with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
Te phoeiah kai taengah aka cal puencawn te ka doo tih, “Ka boeipa he balae a thui,” ka ti nah.
5 Then the angel that spoke with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
Kai taengah aka cal puencawn lohkai te n'doo tih, “He he balae ti na ming moenih a?” a ti tih, “Ka boeipa ka ming pawh,” ka ti nah.
6 Then answered he and spoke unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
Te dongah kai te, “BOEIPA ol loh he ni a thui. Zerubbabel te, 'Tatthai nen moenih, thadueng nen moenih, ka Mueihla nen ni tila caempuei BOEIPA loh a thui,’ ti nah.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou wilt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone with shoutings of, Grace, grace unto it.
Tlang len nang te unim? Zerubbabel mikhmuh ah tlangkol la om ni. Te vaengah mikdaithen, mikdaithen tila pang ol neh lumuek lung te a khuen ni.
8 And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Te phoeiah ah BOEIPA ol te kai taengla ha pai tih,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands shall complete it: and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
“He im he Zerubbabel kut loh a suen tih amah kut long ni a coeng eh. Te vaengah caempuei BOEIPA loh nangmih taengah kai n'tueih te na ming ni.
10 For whoever even despised the day of [its] small beginning: yet will they rejoice when they see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel, with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which hold a survey through all the earth.
A phoeng hnin te unim aka hnoelrhoeng? Zerubbabel kut dongkah samphae lung te a hmuh vaengah a kohoe uh ni. BOEIPA mik he diklai pum ah parhih la van thikthuek,” a ti.
11 And I began, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candle-stick and upon its left?
Te phoeiah anih te ka doo tih, “Hmaitung banvoei neh bantang kah olive rhoi he balae?” ka ti nah.
12 And I began a second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are close by the two golden pipes which empty out of themselves the gold-colored oil?
Te phoeiah a pabae la ka doo tih anih te, “A so lamloh sui a loei sui paitop rhoi khaep kah olive mo rhoi ta balae?” ka ti nah.
13 And he said to me as followeth, Knowest thou not what these things are? And I said, No, my lord.
Te vaengah kai te han thui tih, “He he balae ti khaw na ming moenih a?” a ti tih, “Ka boeipa ka ming moenih,” ka ti nah.
14 Then said he, These are the two sons of the clear oil, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Te daengah, “He tah diklai pum kah boei taengah aka pai situi capa rhoi ni,” a ti.
