Zechariah 13

1 On that day shall there be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for cleansing from sin and for purification.

അന്നാളിൽ ദാവീദുഗൃഹത്തിന്നും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികൾക്കും പാപത്തിന്റെയും മാലിന്യത്തിന്റെയും പരിഹാരത്തിന്നായി ഒരു ഉറവു തുറന്നിരിക്കും.

2 And it shall come to pass on that day, saith the Lord of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall not be remembered any more: and also the prophets and the unclean spirit will I remove out of the land.

അന്നാളിൽ ഞാൻ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ പേർ ഇല്ലാതാക്കും; ഇനി അവയെ ഓൎക്കയുമില്ല; ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെയും മലിനാത്മാവിനെയും ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

3 And it shall come to pass, if any one should yet prophesy, that his father and his mother who have begotten him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for falsely hast thou spoken in the name of the Lord: and his father and his mother who have begotten him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.

ആരെങ്കിലും ഇനി പ്രവചിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച അപ്പനും അമ്മയും അവനോടു: യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ഭോഷ്ക്കു സംസാരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു നീ ജീവനോടിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറകയും അവനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ച അപ്പനും അമ്മയും അവൻ പ്രവചിക്കയിൽതന്നേ അവനെ കുത്തിക്കളകയും ചെയ്യും.

4 And it shall come to pass on that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one because of his vision, when he prophesieth; and they shall not clothe themselves with a hairy cloak in order to deceive.

അന്നാളിൽ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ പ്രവചിക്കയിൽ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ദൎശനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ലജ്ജിക്കും; ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ രോമമുള്ള മേലങ്കി ധരിക്കയുമില്ല.

5 But he will say, I am no prophet, a man that tilleth the ground am I; for some one hath taught me to keep cattle from my youth.

ഞാൻ പ്രവാചകനല്ല, കൃഷിക്കാരനത്രേ; എന്റെ ബാല്യത്തിൽ തന്നേ ഒരാൾ എന്നെ വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ പറയും. എന്നാൽ അവനോടു:

6 And should some one say unto him, What are these wounds between thy hands? Then will he say, Those with which I have been wounded in the house of my [vicious] friends.

നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ കാണുന്ന ഈ മുറിവുകൾ എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതിന്നു അവൻ: എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരുടെ വീട്ടിൽവെച്ചു ഞാൻ അടികൊണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.

7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man whom I have associated with me, saith the Lord of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; but I will turn my hand toward the feeble ones.

വാളേ, എന്റെ ഇടയന്റെ നേരെയും എന്റെ കൂട്ടാളിയായ പുരുഷന്റെ നേരെയും ഉണരുക എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ആടുകൾ ചിതറിപ്പോകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടയനെ വെട്ടുക; ഞാൻ ചെറിയവരുടെ നേരെ കൈ തിരിക്കും.

8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts [of those] therein shall be cut off, shall perish; but the third part shall be left therein.

എന്നാൽ സൎവ്വദേശത്തിലും മൂന്നിൽ രണ്ടംശം ഛേദിക്കപ്പെട്ടു പ്രാണനെ വിടും; മൂന്നിൽ ഒരംശം ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

9 And I will bring the third part into the fire, and I will refine them as one refineth silver, and will probe them as gold is probed: they will call on my name, and I will answer their prayer; I will say, They arc my people; and they will say, The Lord is my God.

മൂന്നിൽ ഒരംശം ഞാൻ തീയിൽ കൂടി കടത്തി വെള്ളി ഊതിക്കഴിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരെ ഊതിക്കഴിക്കും; പൊന്നു ശോധന കഴിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവരെ ശോധനകഴിക്കും; അവർ എന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കയും ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു ഉത്തരം അരുളുകയും ചെയ്യും; അവർ എന്റെ ജനം എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയും; യഹോവ എന്റെ ദൈവം എന്നു അവരും പറയും.
