Zechariah 11
1 Open thy doors, O Lebanon, and the fire shall eat on thy cedars.
| ای لبنان، دروازه‌های خود را باز کن تا آتش، درختان سرو تو را بسوزاند. |
2 Wail, fir-tree; for fallen is the cedar; those that were mighty are despoiled: wail, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the impervious forest is come down.
| ای درختان صنوبر، برای تمامی درختان سرو که تباه شده‌اند گریه کنید. ای بلوطهای باشان زاری کنید، زیرا جنگل عظیم نابود شده است. |
3 [There is] the noise of the wailing of the shepherds; for wasted is their glory: [there is] the noise of the roaring of young lions; for wasted is the pride of the Jordan.
| ای حاکمان، گریه و زاری کنید، زیرا جاه و جلال شما بر باد رفته است. غرش این شیران را بشنوید، چون درهٔ اردن پرشکوهشان ویران شده است. |
4 Thus hath said the Lord my God, Feed the flocks [that are destined for] the slaughter;
| خداوند، خدایم به من فرمود: «برو و چوپان گوسفندانی باش که قرار است سربریده شوند. |
5 Whom their buyers slay, and hold themselves guiltless; and whose sellers say, Blessed be the Lord, for I am rich: and none of whose shepherds have pity on them.
| رهبران شرور، قوم مرا خرید و فروش می‌کنند. چوپانانشان آنها را با بی‌رحمی می‌فروشند و می‌گویند:”خدا را شکر! ثروتمند شدیم!“و خریدارانشان آنها را خریده سر می‌برند بدون اینکه مجازات شوند.» |
6 For I will no more have pity on the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into the hand of his neighbor, and into the hand of his king: and they shall beat down the land, and I will not deliver out of their hand.
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «من دیگر بر مردم این سرزمین رحم نخواهم کرد، بلکه می‌گذارم آنها در چنگ رهبران شرور خودشان گرفتار شده، کشته شوند. رهبران شرور، این سرزمین را مبدل به بیابان خواهند کرد و من مانع کارشان نخواهم شد.» |
7 And I had fed the flocks [that were destined for] the slaughter, —indeed, the poorest of the flocks; and I had taken unto me two staves; the one I called Mildness [[No'am]], and the other I called Concord [[Choblim]]: and I fed the flocks.
| پس من گلۀ ستمدیده‌ای را که برای کشتار مقرر شده بود چرانیدم. سپس دو عصای چوپانی در دست گرفته یکی را «لطف» و دیگری را «اتحاد» نامیدم و همان‌طور که به من دستور داده شده بود، گله را چرانیدم. |
8 And I removed the three shepherds in one month; and my soul was tired of them, and also their soul abhorred me.
| در عرض یک ماه، از شر سه چوپان این گله آزاد شدم؛ ولی گوسفندان از من متنفر گشتند و من نیز از دست آنها خسته و بیزار گشتم. |
9 Then said I, I will not feed you: what is dying may die; and what is to be lost may be lost; and those that are left may eat every one the flesh of the other.
| پس به آنها گفتم: «از این به بعد چوپان شما نخواهم بود. آن که مردنی است بگذار بمیرد و آن که کشته شدنی است بگذار کشته شود. آنهایی هم که باقی می‌مانند بگذار همدیگر را بدرند و بخورند!» |
10 And I took my staff, namely, Mildness, and cut it to pieces, to annul my covenant which I had made with all the tribes.
| آنگاه عصایم را که «لطف» نام داشت شکستم تا نشان دهم عهدی را که با همۀ قومها بسته بودم باطل کرده‌ام. |
11 And when it was annulled on that day, then knew they well, truly the poorest of the flocks that waited for me, that it was the word of the Lord.
| پس در همان روز عهد شکسته شد. آنگاه گوسفندان ستمدیده که به من چشم دوخته بودند، متوجه شدند که خداوند به‌وسیلۀ کاری که من کردم پیامی به آنها می‌دهد. |
12 And I said unto them, If it be good in your eyes, give me my reward; and if not, forbear. So they weighed out as my reward thirty pieces of silver.
| من به آنها گفتم: «اگر مایلید، مزد مرا بدهید و اگر نه، ندهید.» پس با سی سکۀ نقره مزد مرا دادند. |
13 And the Lord said unto me, Cast it unto the treasurer, the precious price which I am prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them in the house of the Lord unto the treasurer.
| خداوند به من فرمود: «این مبلغ هنگفتی را که در مقابل ارزشت به تو دادند، نزد کوزه‌گر بینداز!» پس من آن سی سکۀ نقره را گرفتم و آن را در خانهٔ خداوند نزد کوزه‌گر انداختم. |
14 Then I cut in pieces my second staff, namely, Concord, to annul the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
| سپس عصای دیگرم را که «پیوند» نام داشت شکستم تا نشان دهم که پیوند برادری بین یهودا و اسرائیل شکسته شده است. |
15 And the Lord said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.
| آنگاه خداوند به من فرمود: «بار دیگر برو و در نقش چوپانی نادان ظاهر شو.» |
16 For, lo, I raise up a shepherd in the land, who will not think of those that are lost, nor seek for that which is gone astray, nor heal that which hath [a limb] broken; who will not care for that which hath stood still; but who will eat the flesh of the fat, and devour all even to their claws.
| او به من فرمود: «این نشان می‌دهد که من برای قوم، چوپانی تعیین می‌کنم که نه به آنانی که می‌میرند اهمیت می‌دهد، نه از بره‌ها مراقبت می‌کند، نه زخمیان را معالجه می‌نماید، نه سالمها را خوراک می‌دهد، و نه لنگانی را که نمی‌توانند راه بروند بر دوش می‌گیرد؛ بلکه گوسفندان چاق را می‌خورد و سمهایشان را می‌کند. |
17 Woe to the worthless shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall utterly wither, and his right eye shall be completely blinded.
| وای بر این چوپان وظیفه‌نشناس که به فکر گله نیست! شمشیر خداوند بر بازو و چشم راست او فرود خواهد آمد و او را کور و ناتوان خواهد ساخت.» |
