< Song of Solomon 7 >

1 How beautiful are thy steps in sandals, O prince's daughter! the roundings of thy thighs are like jewelled ornaments, the work of the hands of the artificer.
‌ʻE ʻofefine ʻoe tuʻi! Hono ʻikai fakaʻofoʻofa ho vaʻe mo ho topuvaʻe: ʻoku teuʻi lahi ho kofu vaʻe, ko e ngāue ʻae nima ʻoe tufunga poto.
2 Thy navel is like a round goblet which lacketh not the mixed wine: thy body is like a heap of wheat fenced about with lilies.
Ko e fakamaʻu ʻo ho noʻotanga kofu ʻoku hangē ha ipu, ʻoku ʻikai masiva uaine: pea ʻoku tatau ho sino mo e u uite, kuo nonoʻo ʻaki ʻae ngaahi lile.
3 Thy two breasts are like two fawns, the twins of the roe.
‌ʻOku tatau ho ongo huhu mo e ongo kāseli, mui ʻoku na tatau.
4 Thy neck is like a tower of ivory; thy eyes are like the pools in Cheshbon, by the gate of Bath-rabbim; thy nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looketh toward Damascus.
‌ʻOku tatau ho kia mo ha fale lei ʻoku māʻolunga: pea tatau ho mata mo e anovai ika ʻi Hesiponi, ʻi he veʻe matapā ʻo Patalapini: ʻoku tatau ho ihu mo e fale leʻo ʻi Lepanoni ʻoku hanga ki Tamasikusi.
5 Thy head upon thee is like Carmel, and the hair of thy head like purple: a king is held bound in the tresses.
‌ʻOku tatau ho ʻulu mo Kameli, mo e louʻulu ʻo ho ʻulu ʻoku hangē ko e kulokula; kuo moʻua ʻae tuʻi ʻi he ngaahi potu ʻi fale.
6 How beautiful and how pleasant art thou, O love, in thy attractions!
Oiau, hono ʻikai hoihoifua mo fakaʻofoʻofa koe, ʻa koe ko hoku ʻofaʻanga koeʻuhi ke u fiemālie ai!
7 This thy stature is like a palm-tree, and thy breasts are like clusters of grapes.
‌ʻOku tatau ho māʻolunga mo e ʻakau ko e paame, pea hangē ho ongo huhu ko e ngaahi fuhi vaine.
8 I thought, I wish to climb up the palm-tree, I wish to take hold of its boughs; and, oh, that thy breasts might be like clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;
Naʻaku pehē, “Te u kaka ʻi he ʻakau ko e paame, pea u puke ki hono ngaahi vaʻa:” pea ko eni foki, ʻoku tatau ho huhu mo e ngaahi fuhi vaine, mo e ngangatu ʻo ho mānava ʻo hangē ko e moli;
9 And thy palate like the best wine, that glideth down for my friend gently, exciting the lips of those that are asleep.—
‌ʻOku tatau ʻae ngaahi lea mei ho ngutu mo e uaine lelei ʻoku huʻamelie: he naʻa mo kinautolu ʻoku mohe ʻoku fakalea ai.
10 I am my friend's, and toward me is his desire.
‌ʻOku ʻo hoku ʻofaʻanga au, pea ʻoku ne holi pe kiate au.
11 Come, my friend, let us go forth into the field; let us spend the night in the villages;
Haʻu, ʻā hoku ʻofaʻanga, ke ta ō atu ki he ngoue; ke ta nofo ʻi he ngaahi potu kakai.
12 Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine have blossomed, whether the young grape have opened [to the view], whether the pomegranates have budded: there will I give my caresses unto thee.
Ke ta ō hengihengi ki he ngaahi ngoue vaine; ke ta mamata ki he vaine ʻi heʻene tupu lelei, mo e tupu ʻo hono fua mui, pea mo e fatakau ʻoe pomikanite: pea te u foaki ʻi ai ʻa ʻeku ʻofa kiate koe.
13 The mandrakes give forth [their] smell, and at our doors are all manner of precious fruits, new and also old: O my friend, these have I laid up for thee.
‌ʻOku nanamu ʻae tutai, pea ʻoku ai ʻae ngaahi fua lelei ʻi hota veʻe matapā, kuo u tānaki koeʻuhi ko koe, ʻE hoku ʻofaʻanga.
