< Song of Solomon 6 >
1 Whither is thy friend gone, O fairest of women? whither hath thy friend turned himself? that we may seek him with thee?—
Kuo ʻalu ki fē ho ʻofaʻanga, ʻa koe ʻoku hoihoifua ʻi he kau fefine kotoa pē? Kuo ʻalu ki fē ʻaia ʻoku ke ʻofa ai? Koeʻuhi ke tau kumi ia mo koe.
2 My beloved is gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
Kuo ʻalu hifo ʻa hoku ʻofaʻanga ki heʻene ngoue, ki he potu ngoue ʻoe ngaahi kakala, ke ne kai ʻi he ngoue, mo ne toli ʻae ngaahi lile.
3 I am my friend's, and my friend is mine: he that feedeth among the lilies.—
ʻOku ʻo hoku ʻofaʻanga ʻa au, pea ʻoku ʻoʻoku ʻa hoku ʻofaʻanga: ʻoku ne kai ʻi he lotolotonga ʻoe ngaahi lile.
4 Thou art beautiful, O my beloved, like Thirzah, comely like Jerusalem, terrible as armies encamped round their banners.
ʻOku ke hoihoifua, ʻa koe ʻoku ou ʻofa ai, ʻo hangē ko Telisa, pea matamatalelei ʻo hangē ko Selūsalema, pea manavahēʻia ʻo hangē ko e matatau mo ʻenau ngaahi fuka.
5 Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have excited me: thy hair is like a flock of goats that come quietly down from mount Gil'ad.
Ke ʻoua naʻa sio mai ho mata kiate au he ʻoku ou vaivai ai: ʻoku tatau ho louʻulu mo e fanga kosi ʻoku fafanga ʻi Kiliati.
6 Thy teeth are like a flock of ewes which are come up from the washing, all of which bear twins, and there is not one among them that is deprived of her young.
ʻOku tatau ho kaunifo mo e fanga sipi ʻoku ʻalu hake mei he kaukauʻi, he ʻoku taki ʻuhiua ʻa honau ʻuhiki, pea ʻoku ʻikai ke paʻa ha taha ʻi ai.
7 Like the half of the pomegranate is the upper part of thy cheek behind thy vail.
ʻOku tatau ho manifinifihanga mo e konga pomikanite ʻoku fakalilo ʻaki ho louʻulu.
8 Sixty are the queens, and eighty the concubines, and the young women without number;
ʻOku ai ʻae tuʻi fefine ʻe toko onongofulu, mo e sinifu ʻe toko valungofulu, mo e kau tāupoʻou taʻefaʻalaua.
9 But one alone is my dove, my guiltless one; she is the only one of her mother, she is the chosen of her that bore her: maidens see her, and call her happy; yea, queens and concubines, and praise her.
Ka ʻoku taha pe ʻa ʻeku lupe, ʻa ʻeku haohaoa, ko e taʻahine pe taha ia ʻa ʻene faʻē, pea ko e pele ʻaʻana naʻa ne fanauʻi ia. Naʻe mamata ki ai ʻae ngaahi ʻofefine ʻonau fakaongolelei ia, pea naʻa mo e ngaahi tuʻi fefine mo e sinifu foki kuo nau lea fakamālō ki ai.
10 Who is this that shineth forth like the morning-dawn, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as armies encamped round their banners?
11 Into the nut-garden was I gone down, to look about among the plants of the valley, to see whether the vine had blossomed, whether the pomegranates had budded.
Ne u ʻalu hifo ki he ngoue natimeki ke u mamata ki he ngaahi fua ʻoe ʻakau ʻi he teleʻa, koeʻuhi ke u ʻilo pe ʻoku tupu lelei ʻae vaine, pea fatakau ʻae ngaahi pomikanite.
12 I knew not [how it was], my soul made me [like] the chariots of my noble people.
Pea ʻiloange kuo fakafokifā naʻe puna hoku laumālie, ʻo hangē ha taha kuo heka ki he ngaahi saliote ʻo ʻAminatipa.
13 Return, return, O Shulammith; return, return, that we may look upon thee. “What will ye see in the Shulammith?” As though it were the dance of a double company.
Ke ke tafoki mai, tafoki mai, ʻE fefine Sulami; tafoki mai, tafoki mai, ka mau mamata kiate koe. Ko e hā ʻoku mou fie mamata ai ki he fefine Sulami? Ke mau mamata ʻo hangē ko e kau taha ʻae matatau ʻe ua.
