Ruth 4
1 But Bo'az went up to the gate, and sat down there; and, behold, the kinsman of whom Bo'az had spoken came passing by; and he said unto him, Turn aside hither, sit down here, such a one. And he turned aside, and sat down.
೧ಬೋವಜನು ಊರಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡನು. ತಾನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದ ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವು ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು, ಬೋವಜನು ಅವನಿಗೆ “ಬಾರಪ್ಪಾ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ಕುಳಿತುಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲು ಅವನು ಬಂದು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡನು.
2 And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
೨ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಊರಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದಾಗ ಅವರೂ ಬಂದು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.
3 And he said unto the kinsman, Na'omi, that is returned out of the field of Moab, hath to sell a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's.
೩ಆಗ ಅವನು ಆ ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವಿಗೆ, “ಮೋವಾಬ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ನವೊಮಿಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆಕನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಮಾರಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
4 And I thought to inform thee of it, saying, Buy it before those sitting here, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it; but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know; for there is none beside thee to redeem it, and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.
೪ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವುದೇನಂದರೆ ‘ನಿನಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮನಸ್ಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವ ಊರಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಕೊಂಡುಕೋ.’ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು; ಇದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಬೇಕು. ನೀನೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನೂ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕ ಬಾಧ್ಯರು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾರೂ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅವನು “ನಾನೇ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಅಂದನು.
5 Then said Bo'az, On the day that thou buyest the field out of the hand of Na'omi, thou buyest it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
೫ಆಗ ಬೋವಜನು “ನೀನು ನವೊಮಿಯಿಂದ ಆ ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಹೊಲದ ಖಾತೆಯೂ ಆಕೆಯ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದ ಮಗನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿಯುದಿರುವಂತೆ, ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯಳಾದ ರೂತಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.
6 And the kinsman said, I am not able to redeem it for myself, lest I injure my own inheritance: redeem thou what I should redeem for thyself; for I am not able to redeem it.
೬ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆ ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವು “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರೆನು; ಆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀನೇ ವಹಿಸಿಕೋ; ನನ್ನಿಂದಾಗದು” ಅಂದನು.
7 Now this was formerly the custom in Israel at a redeeming and at an exchanging, to confirm any thing, that a man pulled off his shoe, and gave it to the other; and this was the manner of testimony in Israel.
೭ಯಾವುದಾದರೊಂದು ವಸ್ತುವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗಲೂ, ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗಲೂ, ಕೊಡುವಾಗಲೂ ಮಾತನ್ನು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇದ್ದ ಪದ್ಧತಿ ಯಾವುದಂದರೆ, ಕೊಡುವವನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು; ಇದರಿಂದ ಮಾತು ದೃಢವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
8 Thereupon said the kinsman unto Bo'az, Buy it for thee. And he pulled off his shoe.
೮ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆ ಸಮೀಪಬಂಧುವು ಬೋವಜನಿಗೆ “ನೀನೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
9 And Bo'az said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that belonged to Elimelech, and all that belonged to Kilyon and Machlon, out of the hand of Na'omi.
೯ಆಗ ಬೋವಜನು ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ “ನಾನು ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆಕ್, ಕಿಲ್ಯೋನ್, ಮಹ್ಲೋನ್ ಎಂಬುವರಿಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನವೊಮಿಯಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ;
10 And also Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Machlon, have I obtained for myself as my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead may not be cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
೧೦ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೊಲದ ಖಾತೆಯು ಸತ್ತುಹೋದ ಮಹ್ಲೋನನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಉಳಿದು, ಅವನ ಬಂಧುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಊರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನವು ಉಳಿಯುವಂತೆ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯಳಾದ ರೂತಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
11 And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, [We are] witnesses. The Lord grant that the woman that is coming into thy house be like Rachel and like Leah, who did both build up the house of Israel: and acquire thou wealth in Ephrathah, and let thy name become famous in Beth-lechem;
೧೧ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಊರ ಬಾಗಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಹಿರಿಯರೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ “ಹೌದು, ನಾವೇ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳು; ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ. ರಾಹೇಲ್, ಲೇಯಾ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನೂ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲಿ. ಎಫ್ರಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದು, ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗು.
12 And may thy house be like the house of Perez, whom Thamar bore unto Judah, through the seed which the Lord will give thee of this young woman.
೧೨ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿನಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಸಂತಾನದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯು ಯೆಹೂದನಿಗೆ ತಾಮಾರಳಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಪೆರೆಚನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಲಿ” ಅಂದರು.
13 And Bo'az took Ruth, and she became his wife, and he went in unto her: and the Lord gave her conception, and she bore a son.
೧೩ಬೋವಜನು ರೂತಳನ್ನು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪರಿಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಕೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅನುಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಮಗನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.
14 And the women said unto Na'omi, Blessed be the Lord, who hath not allowed to be wanting unto thee a kinsman this day: and may his name become famous in Israel.
೧೪ಆಗ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ನವೊಮಿಗೆ “ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಈ ಮಗನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಖಾತ್ಯನಾಗಲಿ.
15 And may he be unto thee one who refresheth thy soul, and who nourisheth thy old age; for thy daughter-in-law, who loveth thee, hath born him, she who is better to thee than seven sons.
೧೫ಇವನು ನಿನಗೆ ನವಚೈತನ್ಯ ನೀಡಿ ಪುನರ್ಜನ್ಮ ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು, ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿರುವನು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ ಗೌರವಿಸುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯು ಇವನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
16 And Na'omi took the child, and laid it in her lap, and she became a nurse unto it.
೧೬ನವೊಮಿಯೇ ಆ ಮಗುವನ್ನು ಮಡಿಲಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಸಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.
17 And the neighboring women gave him a name, saying, There hath been a son born unto Na'omi: and they called his name 'Obed, who is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
೧೭ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯ ಹೆಂಗಸರು ನವೊಮಿಗೆ “ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಗನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು” ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಓಬೇದನೆಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟರು. ಇವನೇ ಇಷಯನಿಗೆ ತಂದೆಯೂ, ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಅಜ್ಜನೂ ಆದನು.
18 And these are the generations of Perez: Perez begat Chezron;
೧೮ಪೆರೆಚನ ವಂಶಾವಳಿ: ಪೆರೆಚನು ಹೆಚ್ರೋನನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು;
19 And Chezron begat Ram; and Ram begat 'Amminadab;
೧೯ಹೆಚ್ರೋನನು ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು; ರಾಮನು ಅಮ್ಮೀನಾದಾಬನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು;
20 And 'Amminadab begat Nachshon; and Nachshon begat Salmah;
೨೦ಅಮ್ಮೀನಾದಾಬನು ನಹಶೋನನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು; ನಹಶೋನನು ಸಲ್ಮೋನನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು;
21 And Salmon begat Bo'az; and Bo'az begat 'Obed;
೨೧ಸಲ್ಮೋನನು ಬೋವಜನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು; ಬೋವಜನು ಓಬೇದನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು;
22 And 'Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.
೨೨ಓಬೇದನು ಇಷಯನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು; ಇಷಯನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು.
