Psalms 99

1 The Lord reigneth; people tremble: he sitteth enthroned over the cherubim; the earth is moved.

੧ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਲੋਕ ਕੰਬਣ, ਉਹ ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਮਾਨ ਹੈ, ਧਰਤੀ ਡੋਲ ਉੱਠੇ!

2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is exalted above all the people.

੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਹੈ।

3 They will give thanks to thy name, great, and terrible, [and] holy it is.

੩ਓਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਲਾਹੁਣ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ।

4 And to the power of the king who loveth justice and righteousness hast thou truly executed in Jacob.

੪ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਸਿਧਿਆਈ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and bow yourselves down before his footstool: he is holy.—

੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਕਰੋ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਿਆਂ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕੋ, ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ।

6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, and Samuel among those that call on his name; they called on the Lord, and he answered them.

੬ਮੂਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਓਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

7 In the pillar of cloud he used to speak unto them: they kept his testimonies, and the statutes which he had given unto them.

੭ਉਹ ਬੱਦਲ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਖੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੰਨਿਆ।

8 O Lord, our God, thou didst answer them: thou wast a forgiving God unto them, yet also an avenger for their wrong doings.

੮ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and bow yourselves down before his holy mount; for holy is the Lord our God.

੯ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਕਰੋ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕੋ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਹੈ।
