Psalms 99

1 The Lord reigneth; people tremble: he sitteth enthroned over the cherubim; the earth is moved.

Hospodin kraluje, užasněte se národové; sedí nad cherubíny, pohniž se země.

2 The Lord is great in Zion; and he is exalted above all the people.

Hospodin na Sionu veliký, a vyvýšený jest nade všecky lidi.

3 They will give thanks to thy name, great, and terrible, [and] holy it is.

Oslavujte jméno tvé veliké a hrozné, nebo svaté jest.

4 And to the power of the king who loveth justice and righteousness hast thou truly executed in Jacob.

Moc zajisté králova miluje soud; ty jsi ustanovil práva, soud a spravedlnost v Jákobovi ty konáš.

5 Exalt ye the Lord our God, and bow yourselves down before his footstool: he is holy.—

Vyvyšujte Hospodina Boha našeho, a sklánějte se u podnoží noh jeho, svatýť jest.

6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, and Samuel among those that call on his name; they called on the Lord, and he answered them.

Mojžíš a Aron mezi kněžími jeho, a Samuel mezi vzývajícími jméno jeho; volávali k Hospodinu, a on je vyslýchal.

7 In the pillar of cloud he used to speak unto them: they kept his testimonies, and the statutes which he had given unto them.

V sloupu oblakovém mluvíval k nim; kteřížto když ostříhali svědectví jeho, i ustanovení jim vydal.

8 O Lord, our God, thou didst answer them: thou wast a forgiving God unto them, yet also an avenger for their wrong doings.

Hospodine Bože náš, tys je vyslýchal, Bože, bývals jim milostiv, i když jsi je trestal pro výstupky jejich.

9 Exalt the Lord our God, and bow yourselves down before his holy mount; for holy is the Lord our God.

Vyvyšujte Hospodina Boha našeho, a sklánějte se na hoře svaté jeho; neboť jest svatý Hospodin Bůh náš.
