< Psalms 98 >
1 “A psalm.” Oh sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done wonderful things: his right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory.
O sing to the LORD a new song; for he has done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, has gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: before the eyes of the nations hath he revealed his righteousness.
The LORD has made known his salvation: his righteousness has he openly showed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath remembered his kindness and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout joyfully unto the Lord, all the lands: break forth, and rejoice, and sing praises.
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Sing praises unto the Lord with the harp, —with the harp, and the voice of psalmody.
Sing to the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and the sound of cornet shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7 Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it; the world, with those that dwell therein.
Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together,
Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and people with equity.
Before the LORD; for he comes to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
