< Psalms 98 >

1 “A psalm.” Oh sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done wonderful things: his right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory.
A psalm for David himself. Sing ye to the Lord anew canticle: because he hath done wonderful things. His right hand hath wrought for him salvation, and his arm is holy.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: before the eyes of the nations hath he revealed his righteousness.
The Lord hath made known his salvation: he hath revealed his justice in the sight of the Gentiles.
3 He hath remembered his kindness and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
He hath remembered his mercy his truth toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout joyfully unto the Lord, all the lands: break forth, and rejoice, and sing praises.
Sing joyfully to God, all the earth; make melody, rejoice and sing.
5 Sing praises unto the Lord with the harp, —with the harp, and the voice of psalmody.
Sing praise to the Lord on the harp, on the harp, and with the voice of a psalm:
6 With trumpets and the sound of cornet shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.
With long trumpets, and sound of comet. Make a joyful noise before the Lord our king:
7 Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it; the world, with those that dwell therein.
Let the sea be moved and the fulness thereof: the world and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together,
The rivers shall clap their hands, the mountains shall rejoice together
9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and people with equity.
At the presence of the Lord: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with equity.
