Psalms 97

1 The Lord reigneth: let the earth be glad; let the multitude of isles rejoice.

౧యెహోవా పరిపాలిస్తున్నాడు. భూమి ఆనందిస్తుంది గాక. ద్వీపాలన్నీ సంతోషిస్తాయి గాక.

2 Clouds and thick darkness are round about him: righteousness and justice are the support of his throne.

౨మబ్బులూ చీకటీ ఆయనచుట్టూ ఉన్నాయి. నీతి న్యాయాలు యెహోవా సింహాసనానికి పునాదిగా ఉన్నాయి.

3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up round about his adversaries.

౩ఆయన ముందు అగ్ని బయలు దేరింది. చుట్టూ ఉన్న ఆయన శత్రువులను అది కాల్చివేస్తుంది.

4 His lightnings give light to the world: the earth seeth it, and trembleth.

౪ఆయన మెరుపులు లోకాన్ని వెలిగిస్తాయి. భూమి దాన్ని చూసి వణికిపోతుంది.

5 The mountains melt away like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.

౫లోకనాథుడైన యెహోవా ఎదుట, పర్వతాలు మైనంలాగా కరిగిపోతాయి.

6 The heavens tell of his righteousness, and all the people his glory.

౬ఆకాశాలు ఆయన నీతిని ప్రకటిస్తున్నాయి రాజ్యాలన్నీ ఆయన మహాత్మ్యాన్ని చూస్తాయి.

7 Made ashamed shall be all that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: unto him bow down all the gods.

౭చెక్కిన ప్రతిమలను పూజించేవాళ్ళు, పనికిరాని విగ్రహాలను బట్టి గొప్పలు చెప్పుకునే వాళ్ళు అవమానం పాలవుతారు. అలాటి దేవుళ్ళు అందరూ యెహోవాకు మొక్కండి.

8 Zion heareth it, and rejoiceth; and glad are the daughters of Judah, because of thy decrees, O Lord.

౮యెహోవా, సీయోను ఇది విని సంతోషించింది. యూదా పట్టణాలు ఆనందించాయి. నీ నీతికరమైన ఆదేశాలనుబట్టి సంతోషిస్తున్నాయి.

9 For thou, O Lord, art the most high above all the earth: thou art greatly exalted above all gods.

౯ఎందుకంటే యెహోవా, నువ్వు ప్రపంచమంతటికీ పైగా ఉన్న సర్వాతీతుడివి. దేవుళ్ళందరిలోకీ నువ్వు ఎంతో ఉన్నతంగా ఉన్నావు.

10 Ye that love the Lord, hate ye the evil: he preserveth the souls of his pious ones; out of the hand of the wicked he ever delivereth them.

౧౦యెహోవాను ప్రేమించే మీరంతా దుర్మార్గాన్ని అసహ్యించుకోండి! తన భక్తుల ప్రాణాలను ఆయన కాపాడతాడు, దుర్మార్గుల చేతిలోనుంచి ఆయన వారిని తప్పిస్తాడు.

11 Light is sown for the righteous, and joy for the upright in heart.

౧౧నీతిమంతులకు వెలుగును, నిజాయితీపరులకు ఆనందాన్ని విత్తనాలుగా చల్లడం జరిగింది.

12 Rejoice, ye righteous, in the Lord, and give thanks to his holy memorial.

౧౨నీతిమంతులారా, యెహోవా మూలంగా ఆనందించండి, ఆయన పవిత్ర నామాన్ని బట్టి కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పండి.
