Psalms 95

1 O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

வாருங்கள், யெகோவாவை மகிழ்ச்சியோடு பாடுவோம்; நம்முடைய இரட்சிப்பின் கன்மலையை சத்தமிட்டுத் துதிப்போம்.

2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and shout joyfully unto him with psalms.

நன்றியுடன் அவர்முன் வருவோம்; இசையினாலும் பாட்டினாலும் அவரைப் புகழ்ந்து உயர்த்துவோம்.

3 For a great God is the Lord, and a great King above all Gods;

யெகோவாவே மகா இறைவனாய் இருக்கிறார்; எல்லாத் தெய்வங்களுக்கும் மேலான மகா அரசருமாய் இருக்கிறார்.

4 In whose hand are the deep places of the earth; and whose are the heights of mountains;

பூமியின் ஆழங்கள் அவருடைய கரத்தில் இருக்கின்றன; மலை உச்சிகளும் அவருக்கே உரியவை.

5 Whose is the sea, and who hath made it; and whose hands have formed the dry land.

கடல் அவருடையது, அவரே அதை உண்டாக்கினார்; வறண்ட நிலத்தையும் அவருடைய கரங்களே உருவாக்கின.

6 Oh come, let us prostrate ourselves and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

வாருங்கள், நம்மை உண்டாக்கின யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நாம் குனிந்து, பணிந்து, வழிபடுவோம்; நாம் முழங்காலிடுவோம்.

7 For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the flock of his hand: yea, this day, if ye will hearken to his voice,

அவரே நம் இறைவன்; நாம் அவருடைய மேய்ச்சலின் மக்களும் அவருடைய பராமரிப்புக்குள்ளான மந்தையுமாய் இருக்கிறோம். இன்று நீங்கள் அவருடைய குரலைக் கேட்பீர்களானால்,

8 Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as on the day of the temptation in the wilderness:

“அன்று மேரிபாவில் விவாதம் செய்தது போலவும், பாலைவனத்திலே மாசாவில் சோதனை செய்தது போலவும், உங்கள் இருதயங்களைக் கடினப்படுத்த வேண்டாம்.

9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, although they had seen my doing.

அங்கே உங்கள் முன்னோர்கள் என்னைச் சோதித்தார்கள்; நான் செய்தவைகளைக் கண்டிருந்தும் என்னைப் பரீட்சை பார்த்தார்கள்.

10 Forty years long did I feel loathing on that generation, and I said, It is a people of an erring heart; and they truly acknowledged not my ways:

நான் நாற்பது வருடங்களாக அந்தச் சந்ததியோடு கோபமாயிருந்தேன்; ‘அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு விலகிப்போகும் இருதயமுள்ள மக்கள் என்றும், என்னுடைய வழிகளை அறியாதவர்கள்’ என்றும் நான் சொன்னேன்.

11 So that I swore in my wrath, that they should not enter into my rest.

எனவே கோபங்கொண்டு, ‘அவர்கள் என்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை’ என்று, ஆணையிட்டு அறிவித்தேன்.”
