Psalms 94
1 O God, of vengeance, Lord! O God of vengeance, shine forth.
Dio de venĝo, ho Eternulo, Dio de venĝo, aperu!
2 Lift up thyself, O judge of the Earth! bring a recompense upon the proud.
Leviĝu, Juĝanto de la tero; Redonu la meritaĵon al la fieruloj.
3 How long shall the wicked, O Lord—how long shall the wicked exult?
Kiel longe la malvirtuloj, ho Eternulo, Kiel longe la malvirtuloj triumfos?
4 They sputter, they speak hard things: all the workers of wickedness boast themselves.
Ili estas malhumilaj, parolas arogantaĵon; Fanfaronas ĉiuj malbonaguloj.
5 Thy people, O Lord! they crush, and thy heritage they afflict.
Vian popolon, ho Eternulo, ili premas, Kaj Vian heredon ili turmentas.
6 The widow and the stranger they slay, and the fatherless they murder.
Vidvinon kaj fremdulon ili mortigas, Kaj orfojn ili buĉas.
7 And they say, The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not take notice of it.
Kaj ili diras: La Eternulo ne vidas, Kaj la Dio de Jakob ne scias.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye become intelligent!
Komprenu, senprudentuloj en la popolo; Kaj vi, malsaĝuloj, kiam vi saĝiĝos?
9 He that hath planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that hath formed the eye, shall he not see?
Ĉu ne aŭdas Tiu, kiu aranĝis orelon? Ĉu ne vidas Tiu, kiu kreis okulon?
10 He that admonisheth nations, shall he not correct? is it not he that teacheth man knowledge!
Ĉu ne punas la ĝustiganto de la popoloj, Kiu instruas al homo scion?
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are nought.
La Eternulo scias la pensojn de homo, Ke ili estas vantaj.
12 Happy is the man whom thou admonisheth, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:
Bone estas al la homo, kiun Vi, ho Eternulo, ĝustigas, Kaj al kiu Vi instruas Vian leĝon,
13 That thou mayest grant him repose from the days of evil, until the pot be dug for the wicked.
Por trankviligi lin en la malbonaj tagoj, Ĝis estos pretigita la foso por la malvirtulo.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.
Ĉar la Eternulo ne forpuŝos Sian popolon, Kaj Sian heredon Li ne forlasos.
15 For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.
Ĉar juĝo revenos al vero, Kaj ĝin sekvos ĉiuj virtkoruloj.
16 Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?
Kiu helpas min kontraŭ malbonuloj? Kiu staras apud mi kontraŭ malbonaguloj?
17 Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.
Se la Eternulo ne estus mia helpanto, Mia animo preskaŭ kuŝus jam silenta.
18 When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.
Kiam mi diris, ke mia piedo ŝanceliĝas, Via boneco, ho Eternulo, min subtenis.
19 In the multitude of my [painful] thoughts within me, thy consolations delight my soul.
Kiam mi havas interne multe da maltrankvilaj pensoj, Viaj konsoloj karesas mian animon.
20 Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?
Ĉu aliĝos al Vi trono de maljusteco, Kiu aranĝas maljustaĵon en la nomo de la leĝo?
21 They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.
Ili sin armas kontraŭ la animo de virtulo, Kaj sangon senkulpan ili akuzas.
22 But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.
Sed la Eternulo estos mia rifuĝejo; Kaj mia Dio estos la roko de mia ŝirmo.
23 And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: [yea], he will destroy them—the Lord our God.
Kaj Li redonos al ili por iliaj malbonagoj, Kaj por ilia malboneco Li ilin ekstermos; Ilin ekstermos la Eternulo, nia Dio.
