< Psalms 94 >

1 O God, of vengeance, Lord! O God of vengeance, shine forth.
Kasakkung: Panuekhoeh Oe BAWIPA Cathut, moipathungnae katawnkung, Oe Cathut moipathungnae katawnkung, ang haw.
2 Lift up thyself, O judge of the Earth! bring a recompense upon the proud.
Talai taminaw lawkcengkung, thaw haw, ka kâoupnaw hah moipathung haw.
3 How long shall the wicked, O Lord—how long shall the wicked exult?
Oe BAWIPA, tamikathoutnaw teh nâtotouh ne, nâtotouh ne a lunghawi awh han vai.
4 They sputter, they speak hard things: all the workers of wickedness boast themselves.
A ngai patetlah lawk a dei awh teh, a lawk a hram awh teh, nâtotouh ne a kâoup awh han vai.
5 Thy people, O Lord! they crush, and thy heritage they afflict.
Oe BAWIPA, na taminaw hah a pacekpahlek awh teh, nange râw hah a rektap awh.
6 The widow and the stranger they slay, and the fatherless they murder.
Lahmainu hoi imyinnaw hah a thei awh teh, na pa kaawm hoeh e naw hah ouk a thei awh.
7 And they say, The Lord will not see, and the God of Jacob will not take notice of it.
BAWIPA ni hmawt mahoeh, Jakop Cathut ni hai panuek mahoeh ati awh.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye become intelligent!
Maya thung dawk e tamipathunaw, panuek awh haw, Nâtuek maw na lungang awh han vai.
9 He that hath planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that hath formed the eye, shall he not see?
Thainae hnâ kasakkung ni thai mahoeh ou. Mit kasakkung ni hmawt mahoeh ou.
10 He that admonisheth nations, shall he not correct? is it not he that teacheth man knowledge!
Miphunnaw kacangkhaikung hoi panuenae kacangkhaikung ni panuek mahoeh ou.
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are nought.
BAWIPA ni taminaw e pouknae banghai bang hoeh e hah a panue.
12 Happy is the man whom thou admonisheth, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law:
Oe BAWIPA, na kâlawk dawk hoi na cangkhai teh, na yue e naw teh a yawkahawi e lah ao.
13 That thou mayest grant him repose from the days of evil, until the pot be dug for the wicked.
Tamikathout hanelah tangkom tai hoehroukrak, runae dawk hoi na kâhat sak thai mahoeh.
14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, BAWIPA ni a taminaw hah hnoun mahoeh, a râw takhoe mahoeh.
15 For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.
16 Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?
Yonnae kasaknaw taran hanelah apimouh kai hanlah ka thaw han. Payonnae kasaknaw taran hanelah apimaw kai yueng lah kangdout han.
17 Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.
BAWIPA teh kabawmkung lah awm hoeh pawiteh, duem onae koe ka hringnae yout kahmat han doeh toe.
18 When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.
19 In the multitude of my [painful] thoughts within me, thy consolations delight my soul.
20 Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?
Payonnae bawitungkhung, hawihoehnae phung hai a sak awh e teh, nang hoi kâhuiko thai han vaimoe.
21 They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.
Ayânaw hringnae taranlahoi a kâhmo teh, yonnae ka tawn hoeh naw hah yon a pen awh.
22 But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.
Hatei, BAWIPA teh ka kânguenae doeh. Ka Cathut teh ka lungsong doeh.
23 And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: [yea], he will destroy them—the Lord our God.
