Psalms 9
1 “To the chief musician upon Muthlabben, a psalm of David.” I will thank the Lord with all my heart: I will relate all thy marvelous deeds.
Para el músico jefe. Ajustado a “La Muerte del Hijo”. Un salmo de David. Daré gracias a Yahvé de todo corazón. Contaré todas tus obras maravillosas.
2 I will rejoice and exult in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High:
Me alegraré y me regocijaré en ti. Cantaré alabanzas a tu nombre, oh Altísimo.
3 When my enemies are turned backward, [when] they fall and perish at thy presence.
Cuando mis enemigos se vuelvan, tropiezan y perecen en tu presencia.
4 For thou hast conducted my dispute and my cause; thou hast sat on the throne as a righteous judge.
Porque has mantenido mi causa justa. Te sientas en el trono juzgando con justicia.
5 Thou hast rebuked nations, thou hast caused the wicked to perish, their name hast thou blotted out for ever and ever.
Has reprendido a las naciones. Has destruido a los malvados. Has borrado su nombre para siempre.
6 O thou enemy, the ruins are passed away for ever, and the cities which thou hast destroyed, —lost is their memorial, yea, theirs.
El enemigo se ve superado por una ruina sin fin. El propio recuerdo de las ciudades que habéis derribado ha perecido.
7 But the Lord will sit enthroned for ever: he hath established for giving judgment his throne.
Pero Yahvé reina para siempre. Ha preparado su trono para el juicio.
8 And he will judge the world with righteousness, he shall decide for the people, with equity.
Él juzgará al mundo con justicia. Administrará el juicio a los pueblos con rectitud.
9 The Lord also will be a strong-hold for the oppressed, a strong-hold in times of distress.
Yahvé también será una torre alta para los oprimidos; una torre alta en tiempos de problemas.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou hast not forsaken those that seek thee, O Lord.
Los que conocen tu nombre pondrán su confianza en ti, porque tú, Yahvé, no has abandonado a los que te buscan.
11 Sing praises to the Lord, who dwelleth in Zion: announce among the people his deeds.
Canten alabanzas a Yahvé, que habita en Sión, y declarar entre el pueblo lo que ha hecho.
12 For he, that inquireth after acts of blood, hath remembered them: he hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.
Porque el que venga la sangre se acuerda de ellos. No olvida el clamor de los afligidos.
13 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; have regard to my affliction [coming] from those that hate me, thou who liftest me up from the gates of death:
Ten piedad de mí, Yahvé. Mira mi aflicción por los que me odian, y sácame de las puertas de la muerte,
14 In order that I may relate all thy praises in the gates of the daughters of Zion: I will be glad in thy salvation.
para que pueda mostrar todas tus alabanzas. Me alegraré de tu salvación en las puertas de la hija de Sión.
15 Sunk are nations in the ditch that they have prepared: in this net which they had laid in secret is their own foot caught.
Las naciones se han hundido en el pozo que hicieron. En la red que escondieron, su propio pie es tomado.
16 The Lord is made known: he executed justice: through the doing of his own hands is the wicked ensnared. Higgayon, (Selah)
Yahvé se ha dado a conocer. Ha ejecutado la sentencia. El malvado es atrapado por la obra de sus propias manos. Meditación. (Selah)
Los impíos serán devueltos al Seol, incluso todas las naciones que se olvidan de Dios. (Sheol h7585)
18 For not everlastingly shall the needy be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
Porque el necesitado no será siempre olvidado, ni la esperanza de los pobres perecerá para siempre.
19 Arise, O Lord; let not the mortal boast of his strength; let nations be judged before thy face.
¡Levántate, Yahvé! No dejes que el hombre prevalezca. Que las naciones sean juzgadas a tus ojos.
20 Place, O Lord, fear over them: let nations know, that they are but mortals. (Selah)
Ponen temor, Yahvé. Que las naciones sepan que sólo son hombres. (Selah)
