Psalms 87

1 “By the sons of Korach; a psalm or song.” It is founded by him on holy mountains.

١ مَزْمُورٌ لِبَنِي قُورَحَ. تَسْبِيحَةٌ أَسَّسَ اللهُ الْمَدِينَةَ عَلَى الْجِبَالِ الْمُقَدَّسَةِ.

2 The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

٢ أَحَبَّ الرَّبُّ أَبْوَابَ صِهْيَوْنَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ مَسَاكِنِ بَنِي يَعْقُوبَ.

3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. (Selah)

٣ يَتَحَدَّثُونَ عَنْكِ بِأُمُورٍ مَجِيدَةٍ يَا مَدِينَةَ اللهِ.

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as those that know me; behold, here is Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: “This man was born there.”

٤ أَذْكُرُ مِصْرَ وَبَابِلَ بَيْنَ الَّذِينَ يَعْرِفُونَنِي، وَكَذَلِكَ فَلَسْطِينَ وَصُورَ مَعَ الْحَبَشَةِ، فَيَقُولُونَ: هَذَا وُلِدَ فِي صِهْيَوْنَ.

5 But of Zion will it be said, “This and that man were born in her:” and the Most High himself doth establish her.

٥ حَقّاً عَنْ صِهْيَوْنَ يَقُولُونَ: «هَذَا الإِنْسَانُ وَهَذَا الإِنْسَانُ وُلِدَ فِيهَا، وَالْعَلِيُّ يُثَبِّتُهَا».

6 The Lord will number when he writeth down nations. “This man was born there.” (Selah)

٦ يُدَوِّنُ الرَّبُّ فِي سِجِلِّ إِحْصَاءِ الشُّعُوبِ أَنَّ هَذَا وُلِدَ هُنَاكَ.

7 And the singers as well as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs [of joy] are in thee.

٧ الْمُرَنِّمُونَ وَالْعَازِفُونَ عَلَى السَّوَاءِ يَقُولُونَ: «فِيكِ كُلُّ يَنَابِيعِ سُرُورِي».
