< Psalms 86 >
1 “A prayer of David.” Incline, O Lord, thy ear, answer me; for poor and needy am I.
oratio ipsi David inclina Domine aurem tuam et exaudi me quoniam inops et pauper sum ego
2 Preserve my soul; for I am pious: help thy servant, O thou my God, that trusteth in thee.
custodi animam meam quoniam sanctus sum salvum fac servum tuum Deus meus sperantem in te
3 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee I call all the time.
miserere mei Domine quoniam ad te clamabo tota die
4 Cause to rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift my soul.
laetifica animam servi tui quoniam ad te Domine animam meam levavi
5 For thou, O Lord, art good and forgiving, and abundant in kindness unto all that call on thee.
quoniam tu Domine suavis et mitis et multae misericordiae omnibus invocantibus te
6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.
auribus percipe Domine orationem meam et intende voci orationis meae
7 On the day of my distress will I call on thee; for thou wilt answer me.
in die tribulationis meae clamavi ad te quia exaudisti me
8 There is none like unto thee among the Gods, O Lord; and there is nothing like thy works.
non est similis tui in diis Domine et non est secundum opera tua
9 All the nations whom thou hast made shall come and bow themselves down before thee, O Lord; and they shall ascribe honor unto thy name.
omnes gentes quascumque fecisti venient et adorabunt coram te Domine et glorificabunt nomen tuum
10 For great art thou, and doing wondrous things: thou art God by thyself alone.
quoniam magnus es tu et faciens mirabilia tu es Deus solus
11 Teach me, O Lord, thy way; I will walk firmly in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.
deduc me Domine in via tua et ingrediar in veritate tua laetetur cor meum ut timeat nomen tuum
12 I will thank thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will honor thy name for evermore.
confitebor tibi Domine Deus meus in toto corde meo et glorificabo nomen tuum in aeternum
13 For thy kindness is great toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the grave of the lower world. (Sheol )
quia misericordia tua magna est super me et eruisti animam meam ex inferno inferiori (Sheol )
14 O God, the presumptuous are risen up against me, and the assembly of the powerful wicked have sought after my life, and have not set thee before them.
Deus iniqui insurrexerunt super me et synagoga potentium quaesierunt animam meam et non proposuerunt te in conspectu suo
15 But thou, O Lord, art God, full of mercy, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in kindness and truth.
et tu Domine Deus miserator et misericors patiens et multae misericordiae et verax
16 Oh turn unto me, and be gracious unto me: give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.
respice in me et miserere mei da imperium tuum puero tuo et salvum fac filium ancillae tuae
17 Display on me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because thou, Lord, hast helped me, and comforted me.
fac mecum signum in bono et videant qui oderunt me et confundantur quoniam tu Domine adiuvasti me et consolatus es me
