Psalms 86

1 “A prayer of David.” Incline, O Lord, thy ear, answer me; for poor and needy am I.

[Ein Gebet. Von David.] Neige, Jehova, dein Ohr, erhöre mich! Denn ich bin elend und arm.

2 Preserve my soul; for I am pious: help thy servant, O thou my God, that trusteth in thee.

Bewahre meine Seele, denn ich bin fromm; rette du, mein Gott, deinen Knecht, der auf dich vertraut!

3 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto thee I call all the time.

Sei mir gnädig, Herr! denn zu dir rufe ich den ganzen Tag.

4 Cause to rejoice the soul of thy servant; for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift my soul.

Erfreue die Seele deines Knechtes! denn zu dir, Herr, erhebe ich meine Seele.

5 For thou, O Lord, art good and forgiving, and abundant in kindness unto all that call on thee.

Denn du, Herr, bist gut und zum Vergeben bereit, [W. vergebend] und groß an Güte gegen alle, die dich anrufen.

6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplications.

Nimm zu Ohren, Jehova, mein Gebet, und horche auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

7 On the day of my distress will I call on thee; for thou wilt answer me.

Am Tage meiner Bedrängnis werde ich dich anrufen, denn du wirst mich erhören.

8 There is none like unto thee among the Gods, O Lord; and there is nothing like thy works.

Keiner ist wie du, Herr, unter den Göttern, und nichts gleich deinen Werken.

9 All the nations whom thou hast made shall come and bow themselves down before thee, O Lord; and they shall ascribe honor unto thy name.

Alle Nationen, die du gemacht hast, werden kommen und vor dir anbeten, Herr, und deinen Namen verherrlichen.

10 For great art thou, and doing wondrous things: thou art God by thyself alone.

Denn groß bist du und Wunder tuend, du bist Gott, du allein.

11 Teach me, O Lord, thy way; I will walk firmly in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

Lehre mich, Jehova, deinen Weg: ich werde wandeln in deiner Wahrheit; einige mein Herz zur Furcht deines Namens.

12 I will thank thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will honor thy name for evermore.

Ich will dich preisen, [O. dir danken] Herr, mein Gott, mit meinem ganzen Herzen, und deinen Namen verherrlichen ewiglich.

13 For thy kindness is great toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the grave of the lower world. (Sheol h7585)

Denn deine Güte ist groß gegen mich, und du hast meine Seele errettet aus dem untersten Scheol. (Sheol h7585)

14 O God, the presumptuous are risen up against me, and the assembly of the powerful wicked have sought after my life, and have not set thee before them.

Gott! Übermütige sind wider mich aufgestanden, und der Gewalttätigen Rotte trachtet nach meinem Leben; und sie haben dich nicht vor sich gestellt.

15 But thou, O Lord, art God, full of mercy, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in kindness and truth.

Du aber, Herr, bist ein Gott, [El] barmherzig und gnädig, langsam zum Zorn und groß an Güte und Wahrheit.

16 Oh turn unto me, and be gracious unto me: give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thy handmaid.

Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig! gewähre deinem Knechte deine Kraft und rette den Sohn deiner Magd!

17 Display on me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because thou, Lord, hast helped me, and comforted me.

Erweise mir ein Zeichen zum Guten, daß meine Hasser es sehen und beschämt werden, weil du, Jehova, mir geholfen und mich getröstet hast.
